Musicalité, chant, sensibilité et très grande virtuosité. Mao est phenomenal tout simplement, pour moi, un des plus grands pianistes actuels.
Un très grand bravo et ma plus forte admiration !

Comparing the No. 12 with Horowitz, Ugorski plays with surpassing elegance refinement and restraint....still all the passion is there. BRAVO from Acapulco!

Oh no! I loved his DG recordings and the broadcasts I’ve heard….. a true loss to the European Classical Piano World!😢

❤I can only second what acapulco says about Ugorsky's pianism: refinement, elegance, restraint and passion, piano playing of the highest order, superb Skriabin, Chris Holland

R.I.P. His Gesänge der Frühe is one of the most beautiful Schumann recordings I have ever heard. Unfortunately there are not many of his recordings around on RUclips.

Incredible Scriabin playing, with beautiful voicing and singing, still not without force and energy.

Изысканно по- скрябински и вместе с тем своебразно, свежо, неповторимо. Для меня - открытие. Спасибо, ADGO

@@ADGO yes, it was one of the strangest recitals I ever saw. Only Scriabin sonatas in the first half, with the score and he turned his own pages. INCREDIBLE pianissimi (in that hall, on that piano!) but no musical line, because he slowed down every two pages to turn for himself. One time he made a big climax, threw his arms in the air, turned the page and 'discovered' that there was one more chord left. Big laughter in the hall (certainly with the professionals, there were a lot of pianists because he was a cult figure and everybody wanted to hear what he would be like). I sounded like incredible sight-reading, inspired but very strange.
Then they found a student of the conservatory to turn the pages in his Hammerklavier. I remember an incredible Adagio but the Fugue sounded like Debussy's Brouillards.

Absolutely rightly, he could do it, like the "Hammer Clavier","sight reading", like S.Richter did!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
