The father of Prince Charming was white in the version of brandy’s Cinderella I believe they are probably basing it off that for why Chad is white and probably he blond hair as well

@@newbestfriend9742in Brandys Cinderella, the King was white, the Queen was black, and the prince was Asian I believe. With those genetics, plus Cinderella being black, having a white passing son makes sense.

I'm confused by why Cinderella would be there as a teen since she wasn't a princess to begin with. I mean they deliberately used the actors from the 1997 Cinderella so we have to assume this is the same universe.

I don’t think it takes place in the same universe. They just reprised their roles. It’s sorta like an Easter egg. Since a lot of people haven’t seen that Cinderella. I didn’t even know about it until recently. I watched it on Disney+ after I found out.
@@newbestfriend9742Prince Charming’s Father is white & his Mother is black. Yet he’s somehow Asian lol. So race doesn’t mean anything in that family.
Maybe she had a special invite & the school could’ve made an exception for her heart.

in this version, the original heroes and villains are given different back stories
Cinderella was not living at home with her awful step-relatives and being a full time maid, she was attending a magical academy run by Merlin that many other future villains and heroes also attended
the Queen of Hearts of Wonderland used to go by her civilian name "Bridget" and was genuinely a nice person before her "unfriendly relationship" with Ursula's little sister ruined her and caused her to walk down "the dark path" to becoming a tyrannical overlord that loves to behead people

i have a slight theory, what if Bridget ends up resented and hating Cinderella because she did not become evil. I could be wrong, but what if Bridget was very hurt from the trauma she dealt with and wanted revenge. Cinderella probably was trying to convince her not to get revenge, but Bridget did anyways. This could of caused Cinderella's and Bridget's friendship to be over because Cinderella did not want to be evil, but Bridget went down a very dark path.

His mother & father are based off of the Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Prince Charming’s father is white & his mother is black. Yet he is Asian. So Chad being white makes perfect sense lol.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I'm really excited to see Brandy and Paolo reprising their roles or rather playing different versions of their characters from the 1997 movie and I'm also excited to see the Queen of Hearts. However, I don't know how I feel about the timeline. Somehow, Maleficent, Hook, Bridget (Queen of Hearts), Ursula's sister and Hades are in the same age or close to the same age as Cinderella? Also what is Cinderella doing in a boarding school or in school at all? Why isn't she at home being enslaved by her step-family? I don't know. I feel like there's a good chance we're going to have to chalk it up to this movie relying on its main demographic being small kids who don't fully understand the classic tales of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Hercules. I know that's kinda obvious but at the same time, I did kinda hope it would appease the older audiences as well other than bringing back Brandy and Paolo as Cinderella and the Prince.
My theory is her evil step mother just threw all the sisters in the same school n didn't care n when she would come home she had to do chores idk that's my theory

@@MissLils4Ever For the most part it’s always been a shade of purple though. Also why does that matter? This is only 1 movie. So Red could always do the same thing. We see her mom used to have pink hair & now it’s red. Focusing on the main characters hair color is weird. It clearly bothered you though lol.

I believe only a handful of OG characters return in this, you do see Uma and Fairy Godmother, but most of the principal cast isn’t returning
