Great review! Unfortunately since Corollas are a high demand low supply vehicle (Corolla has one of the lowest market day supply of all vehicles in the American market), many dealers insist on pre-installed accessories & markup that jackup the price. My friend recently paid 30k OTD for a new gasoline 2025 Toyota Corolla LE here in Texas. Also, here in Texas, finding a Corolla LE with one of the LE packages is impossible, you have to go out of state. That's why I wish the Corolla LE & SE came with standard blind spot monitoring like most of it's rivals (Elantra, Jetta, Sentra, Mazda 3, Civic from Sport trim onwards etc.) Just wanted to point out that in the real world, due to low supply and high demand, this base Corolla LE can easily be 25-26k instead of 23k. There's a higher supply of Civics relative to the Corolla
When you add more features means more cost. You can still get the Corolla on day 1 if you really want it. Low balling offers won’t get you nowhere unfortunately
Yeah, I got a new camry this year for a little under 30K but it was the 2024 and not the 2025. Crazy times. I might just tell my friend to camry instead of the corolla
@ corollas are good. I own one and my best advice is to choose a trim that works in your budget and I have a 2020 one same color as this video and it does it job the way it’s intended, nothing more or nothing less.
I live in a 39 Unit Condo Complex I face the parking lot from my office. From College Students, to Seniors we have Many of this generation Corolla. Some are 2018 and some are brand new. Everyone that owns one is more than satisfied and of course Dependable. I would imagine 31mpg City and over 40 HWY would feel like it’s a hybrid that has to make you smile. 😊
Great video. Here's my take. The Corolla is suppose to be an economy car. It is suppose to be basic. Having a Toyota or Honda badges means that it need also to be reliable as we pay a little extra money just for that.169hp for a basic car is more than enough. Automatic transmission should be an option. The base model should be manual. Having an A/C in 2024 is a must, so this I wont argue. Keep in mind this is basic a transportation. Less is more. Everyone wants to have the same comfort, feel and all the bell and whistles as a Camry or an Accord, in a Corolla. This is wrong. It needs to have a clear demarcation between the two segments. Keep the price low, make it reliable, this is what the Corolla and the Civic should be, and needs to be. Basic transportation. Want more? Upscale your model. Logical.
Our first Toyota was 1976 Toyota Corolla 4 Dr sedan ran flawlessly for 8 years with 200K miles absolutely trouble free with only minor issues like replacing brake pads, 12V battery, tires, starter etc. we later traded in for the all new First Generation Toyota Camry.
“Wanna Corolla!? Gotta wait for a year or more”….something screwy going on, and it leaves the door open for the Civic, Elantra etc..and even more if you want a hybrid. Uses Corolla prices (plus higher interest loans) make them more than a brand new one
If you can find one, at roughly 1,500ish or so more, the Corolla Hybrid is a better value. My Corolla LE hybrid was 25,413 out the door and I average between 54 and 57 mpg. And it's made in Japan.
@@johnkonde1975 I don't really think so. I don't have to use a ton of pedal because the hybrid does mix some regen in with the friction brakes when applied. I have not driven this generation of gas Corolla, but it feels normal to me compared to other vehicles.

The light interior at 23k is Nice. Most cars at this level are all dark to hide the cheap plastics but hard to see anything. If they go all dark interior then they need more lighting.
Toyota cheaped out. Also if you notice (since you have a 2020 Corolla), the 2020 Corolla sedans have the quilted diamond pattern on both front and back seats. However later Corolla models only have the pattern in front seats, again Toyota cheaping out, also no silver door handles on later models

@ you can’t get rid of the screen and if that’s the reason why you may not like the vehicle then the best thing to do is look at another vehicle.
