After the First Galactic War, humans enslaved the Bugs to farm oil from them as humans tend to do. But to increase production, they decided to genetically enhanced and breed them to produce MORE oil. Which by the way gave them the ability to spit acid, gigantism, and being near invisible, amongs other traits that they are using to rip humanity a new backdoor. Oh yeah, the pesticide that humans invented specifically to prevent this from happening? Yeah the Bugs are immune to it now.
Helldivers is so good right now. The recent details of the war is everywhere on what we've been doing. In one event we had the choice between unlocking anti tank mines, or rescuing the children medical center or orphanage (I forget which). All divers focused on helping the kids for no in game reward being noted. Later on the CEO of the company donated 4311 dollars to a children's hospital, which spells out HELL. IN GAME ACTIONS HAVE ACTUAL MERIT IN A LIVE SERVICE! LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!

Ok this is my report on the current state of Helldivers 2 (sorry for so much text): Everything was going well until there was the drama with Sony but it had been months and still no player numbers anywhere near what they were before the fiasco. But with the biggest update, or at least what the marketing indicated many players including myself expected to return to the game but a couple of days before the update there was a patch that changed the behavior of fire in the game and this resulted in a nerf to the flamethrower along with other changes that have no logic and the community exploded complaining about why this was necessary and the explanation given was that with the big update there was no logic in the game. they gave is that with the big update the weapons they are going to add are a flamethrower pistol and flamethrower rifle (as they sold it in the marketing) but changing the behavior would make them not “OP” and when they read this the community exploded again because this was the same logic used to justify previous nerfs but they had said they were not going to do it. After that the Development leader (who has previously had a good relationship with the community) explained that they are going to put in place a 60 day plan to basically change many weapons and equipment that are weak (almost all of the game), along with modifying enemies that are frustrating and do not meet the desired objective. This is the last chance I am going to give them to see what they do and from the last comments they gave this is going to be Helldiver 2 v2.0. PS: I now give SpaceMarine 2 a 9/10 after finishing the campaign I am now going for Operations and PVP.
It's in a pretty bad spot rn tbqh, Devs with their heads in the sand and not understanding their own game. I still hope they can eventually fix the issues they introduced into the game, as I think it still could be one of the best in it's genre. I have the same issue as kiwi when it comes to caffeine, just always been an issue with stimulants like caffeine, they don't really give me a big boost of energy and can sometimes make me sleepy.
Bucking the trend here with some Madagascar (the movie not the country) lore instead. Everyone knows King Julian, Maurice was the middle sized one who was basically going through a midlife crisis as a single dad with two chaotic children and Mort was into Wikifeet before it was generally recognised (also he was the small one).

I played Helldivers 2 on my laptop, it’s actually a pretty well optimized game. Biggest problem with the release was the servers haha if everyone remembers that
Seems other people already explained the situation in the comments. But today is supposed to be the day they essentially unnerf everything and tone down the armored enemies a bit in their defenses. I still play on PS5, partly because I can't afford it on PC and other part cause my TV is larger than my laptop and I like a larger screen for shooters. Plus there are more important games I need dlc for and other games I'd like to get on PC that I don't already have on console. If I had more money to fully switch to PC over PlayStation, I would, and only play it for Bloodborne and Demon's Souls remake if I played on PlayStation. But financially speaking, I really can't right now
