@@KingdomOfLuke most of the real general and soldiers died in World War 1 just a few years before the "Turkish War of Independence". Turkish people has a heart that cannot live without freedom, independence. They all fought for their country, their beliefs, their traditions, their language, their flag, their freedom.. for the things that make them "Turk". This war, was legendary actually. They fought in poverty. Imagine a country just got out of a world war. Think about its people; sad, tired, poor, lost their loved ones, lost their homes, lost themselves. They didnt have "good" weapons or war plane or anything. They didnt even have enough food, clothes and medicine.. But if they didnt fight, they would be dead inside. And they did what was right.. Hey Luke, 'pasha' means 'general'. So, Mustafa Kemal Pasha means The General Mustafa Kemal. He had not got the surname 'Ataturk' yet. For this reason you cannot hear the 'Ataturk' surname in the song.
That is correct. Both for your nation and for other nations it is important to remember your war dead and not forget the people who fought to give you and I the freedoms we have today. ✌️
"Yaşa Mustafa Kemal Paşa, yaşa" "Yaşa" here may be wrongly translated as "Live" which is litteral translation but the wrong interpretation. Here it means "Long live, praise" which is also a representation in term "Yaşasın!" Which is translated as "Hurray!" The last bit is giving salutes to the unspoken heroes of the war.
A proper translation would probably be "Hail" which is unfortunately associated with Nazis. "Long live" is a translation that is accurate and gets the meaning across but is kinda clunky when put in with rest of the lyrics.
The Man at least his grandfather (Haluk's) also fight at Çanakkale and independence War. At the lyrics he meantions people who attends war individually (not only leaders / commanders) gör example "Kara Fatma" she wasn't a soldier, she is one of the legendary women who participated in the war. This mach Salute for all
The man whose picture is shown at the end of the song is Haluk Levent's grandfather, that is Haluk Levent, gifting the song he sang to his grandfather. Therefore, he writes a nice article to his grandfather and adds a photo to him and commemorates him.

This song is really meaningful for us, everytime i listen i get goosebumps. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the best thing that has happened to this country. We owe him everything we have now. We miss him so much. We will never forget his name. As the song says “Long Live Mustafa Kemal Paşa, Long Live! Your name will be carved on every stone!” Thanks for taking this video. We love you. 🇹🇷👏🏻❤️
Because before Ataturk Turkey didn't exist. He was the first thing that happened to Turkey. Turks were victorious before Kemal Pasa and will be victorious in the future as well. Please be progressive and stop dwelling in the past so much
sarasanic hope you wrote it because of your ignorance. To me, it only proves your ignorance to describe such a unique leader as an ordinary person or portray his achievements as a coincidence. Atatürk is not just a person for us. There is such a thing as ‘Kemalism’. Kemalism is a rational worldview. My only advice to you is to do some research. Don't think we'd be hesitate to say we won't forget Atatürk because of people like you.
@@sarasanic If you don't have much information about a situation then shut the fuck up.What you wrote is so funny and you made yourself look stupid.Just mind your own business and don't talk nonsense.
As you can see at the beginning of the song there was a word like the "Dedeme". It means "for my grandfather" and in the last part of the video there was biography of the grandfather of the singer, I translated i8t to below: My Grandfather Diyap the son of Süleyman with his three brother or sister [ kardeş= brother/sister(We use same word for both sometimes)] he was fought for 14 years at the Çanakkale (one of Turkish City that took an important part at WW1), Yemen (that a country at the South of Middle East) and Sakarya ( an important of Turkey too). One of his brothers Gani got martyr. One of his another brother Yusuf, lived forty year's with a ballet inside of his body. This country is grateful to martyrs and war veterans Haluk Levent Thank you.
Haluk Levent 's talk that talk about the people in general as part of the public .Hikaye had fought in the liberation war in Turkey Turkey is known to all, including women folk hero from them. He tells them all their greetings and gratitude and says the names of the cities that survived the big struggles and says that there will be greetings to all martyrs and veterans. martyrs instead of using the word full here says Mustafa Kemal to greet. Haluk Levent's martyr grandfather and uncle who lived in the battles for 14 years lived with a bullet in his body for 40 years.
You got the meaning and the spirit of that anthem even more then some of the Turkish people. Thanks for that sincere respect you were showing there mate.. On the last part, he was saluting and showing his respects to those specific names of man and women who took very important and strategic roles during the resistance years and then the war of the independence itself. Most of those names were simple civilians or citizens from every reagion of Turkey who acted for the sake of their nation and country as civic servents, soldiers, officers, teachers, imams (like priests), resistence fighters, militia and so on, especially before the forming up of the regular Turkish army in those years.. The last guy in the picture is Haluk Levent’s grandfather who also took part in the indepence war.. Love and blessings from Turkey mate 😉 Cheers
7:20 he salutes wars important people(generals, captains, majors, sergeants and to women fighting in war ).he says, Salute to Mehmet Çambaz,Şükriye and Seyfettin , who fought with her life to support the national struggle. and many peoples its long speech i dont write all names
Huge respect for doing a research about the anthem and what it is about beforehand! At the end he salutes the people that are not only generals but also low ranking soldiers or civilians including women who fought for the country's independence.. The founder of our country Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is one of the greatest leaders and men ever lived but there are also thousands of unknown heroes that made the victory possible in such impossible circumstances.. We can never repay them enough for what they've accomplished..
The man who lost his life at this war was Haluk Levent’s Grandfather(about the photo at the end) And he is saying the others name and sending his regards to them. Also their names are writting on the seats.
The Anthem of İzmir Flowers bloom on the mountains of İzmir The golden Sun shines goldenly there The damaged enemies run like a bat out of hell Long live Mustafa Kemal Pasha, long live Your name will be written on jewel I sat and stayed on the mountains of İzmir And I wrote those who are martry I welcomed orphan kids with my open arms
@ kingdomofluke explanation for the last frame: “Dede” is grandpa. He mentions his grandpa saying that he fought in various in battles for 14 years and died. One of his brothers kept on living but had a bullet in his body. Haluk salutes them and others who were defending the country.
I must say that that word in the song is literally "Flower" but is interpreted as "Martyries of the war". The song itself has no hate against any nation, yet gives kinda patriotic feeling.
It was a very nice video. We are proud of your interest, research and respectful comment. Certainly, our national values like Atatürk and our martyrs are the things that bring us a lot of gas. Seeing the picture of Atatürk, hearing the names of our martyrs, etc. are the things that make us goosebumps. Haluk Levent is one of the most loved and trusted names in Turkey. There is a big help platform he has set up. he is a very helpful person. She tries not to reject anyone who invites her to her wedding, graduation party, etc. I suggest you research haluk levent. Thanks again for your respect and attention.
You are correct he is saluting the names he mentioned. They are not generals but they are war heroes. Most of them not even from the military, they are civilians. Last half of the names are women. During ww1 there are so many deaths and the number of soldiers was very low. So civilians and after their death the children voluntarily went to the front. Those women, who mentioned in the video, their children go to war, they have nothing left to do without husband and children, but carry weapons and supplies to the front. Some of them even fought in disguise. Some of them organised the people for resistance because at that time Mustafa Kemal was only a commander. There is still monarch ruling the country and government run by allied powers. So there must be public resistance and they are civilian war heroes.
We didn’t miss the moment that u showed a soldier salute to Father of Turks! This is priceless... It doesn’t matter how different we are! Thank you bro🦾
When I take aside your positive attitude toward our nation, culture and history I see that your mind works very systematic and logical while you're analyzing the events, characters, lyrics etc. You are a clever one bro. I am one of your subscriber from now on...
Haluk Levent says's greetings to casualty soldiers with names bro and i have to say you are really great person analyze and reacting turkish music like your style bro greetings from turkey
If my eyes are filling with tears every time Atatürk is mentioned, think about how perfect he is. This is not only about patriotism, this is about his great personality.
With the decline of soldiers who participated in the war at the end of the march, the people challenged the enemy in unity and solidarity are called the national nationality. Marşın sonunda savaşa katılan askerlerin azalmasıyla halk birlik ve beraberlik içinde düşmana meydan okumuş bu düzensiz birliklere kuvayii milliyye denir milli kuvvet anlamında halktan kopmuş 15 yaşından 70 yaşına kadar genç yaşlı demeden savaşa katılmış olan öncü kişilerin isimlerini sayıyor
Mate.. You beginning to be one of us. Hmmm brother Luke , you are actually not only smart, natural and sentient but also half Turkish , sort of. . Subscribing you, keep going on mate. :)
luckily i found the youtube channel. Thank you for your respected research in videos and most importantly for watching without bias. Everyone struggled a lot for the independence of our country, and the supreme leader of our struggle was Mustafa Kemal. We are very grateful to him and all our heroes. and thank you very much for your respectability in the video again.😊 and our hero at the end of that video haluk's great grandfather also thanks him
09:01 they weren’t generals or soldiers they were milkman, imam , dressmaker or homewomen. They were had just power but we were had the most important thing... Country love🇹🇷
The names singer mentioned and saluted are leaders of local resistances. The War of Independence had started simultaneously everywhere in Anatolia, unorganized, and without a leader before Mustapha Kemal. So they are ordinary people which organized local resistances, they are men and women, they are sergeants, privates, lieutenants, captains etc. The guy at 09:57 is singer's grandfather. The text says "he (his grandfather) had fought for 14 years along with his 3 brothers. One of them died. One had lived 40 years with a bullet in his body..." This song (march) is patriotic and about war of independence, but, for like 15 years it gained another meaning as well. Erdogan is ruling Turkey for 17 years and he is pro-ottoman. He promotes everything before the Republic and he supports everyone whoever is against republic, against secularism, sharia supporter, counter-revolutionary etc. This song (march) has become an anthem for Modern Turkish Republic and its founder Ataturk supporters. Video gives the clear message of "we, men and women, have fought side by side and built this republic together." Polyphonic orchestral music, men and women play and sing together, bow tie, man with an earring are some symbols and a message to counter-revolutionaries, sharia supporters. "we will not be oppressed and we will not become another middle-eastern country you're looking for" So it's not merely about patriotism or fight with Greeks etc.
Aradan yıllar geçse bile sürekli bu videoları izlemeye geliyoruz. Bunu asla unutma bizler bu videoları asla unutmayacağız. Sana da çok teşekkür ederiz.
7.30 He talks about the people who was the member of some associatons which was founded for our homeland's deliverance from the enemies during our Independence War.
Haluk is not talking about generals, those are the names of normal citizens, soldier who fought with everything they got.. They died willingly rather than giving up on our lands to the enemy.. I am so proud of my nation, I love our passion when it comes to protect our homeland.
The meaning of Haluk Levent's sentence: Who fought to support National struggle at risk their lives... "Yenibahçeli Şükrü from the Police Station Society", "Captain Seyfettin from the Hamza group", "Topkapılı Mehmet Cambaz from the Mim Mim group... ...Greetings... And Moreover: One of the names he said is his Grandfather. But I do not know which one now. Also; Haluk is my fellow countryman. That's So, Luke. Please search me(Gökmen KARTAL) on Google. Glad to were here. Bye.
it's not just about being proud or being passionate there are thousands of people who died for this and they are us there is great gratitude and sentimentality The price paid there comes to mind and we remember who we are 🥺🥰
8:02 The people who fought weren't just generals. The man with the grocery store went to war, and the woman who looked after the child went to war. There was no need to be a soldier for the national struggle.

This mach Salute for all
I don't know if you have some haters cause of react to turkish songs but you are just great and we can see that you feel every song you react to 😁❤
When you get haters you know you are doing something correct. 🙂 Thank you and take care 👍✌️
The man whose picture is shown at the end of the song is Haluk Levent's grandfather, that is Haluk Levent, gifting the song he sang to his grandfather. Therefore, he writes a nice article to his grandfather and adds a photo to him and commemorates him.

*Mustafa Kemâl, joined the war in many parts of the country, brought victories to our country, veterans and marshal.* *In 1923, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.* *When the surname law was introduced by the Turkish nation, he was named as his own father by putting his surname ATATÜRK.* *And ancestor passed away on November 10, 1938*
*Recpect and love, from Turkey.*
*He was surnamed by nation's people as Atatürk (Ata-Turk can translate to Father Turk or Ancestor of Turks(more like this)
@@krkrbbr In Turkish, the word "Ata" is used for both father and grandfather. For example; Asian Hun State, European Hun Empire, Uighur State, Gokturk State, the Seljuk Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Republic of Turkey, all of our ancestors. "Ata" actually means ancestor.
Hello from Turkiye.
Haluk counts the people's heroes who fought in the liberation war by putting their lives on the line.
They weren't generals, some were just normal people, some were soldiers... they were anonymous heroes, Haluk mentioned them...
Some part fought in the front.
Some part healed soldiers.
Some part cooked for soldiers
Some part distributed newspapers so that people would be informed.
What they have in common is that they all did it in poverty...
Rest In Peace anonymous HEROES we own you so many things.
In his speech, Haluk Levent sends his heroic salute to the Turkish men and women who fought and died in the War of Independence.
Your name will be carved on every stone!”
Thanks for taking this video.
The names written on the seats are the names of the deceased martyrs. 😔😔
Adamsın ! Türk'lerle ilgili daha çok video bekliyoruz. Beğenin yorum dikkate alınsın "Ne Mutlu Türk'üm Diyene !"
As you can see at the beginning of the song there was a word like the "Dedeme". It means "for my grandfather" and in the last part of the video there was biography of the grandfather of the singer, I translated i8t to below:
My Grandfather
Diyap the son of Süleyman with his three brother or sister [ kardeş= brother/sister(We use same word for both sometimes)] he was fought for 14 years at the Çanakkale (one of Turkish City that took an important part at WW1), Yemen (that a country at the South of Middle East) and Sakarya ( an important of Turkey too).
One of his brothers Gani got martyr.
One of his another brother Yusuf, lived forty year's with a ballet inside of his body.
This country is grateful to martyrs and war veterans
Haluk Levent
Thank you.
I was waiting for your video. Now 3.42 in Turkey. I m really happy to see your video.
7:20 he salutes wars important people(generals, captains, majors, sergeants and to women fighting in war ).he says,
Salute to Mehmet Çambaz,Şükriye and Seyfettin , who fought with her life to support the national struggle.
and many peoples its long speech i dont write all names
Huge respect for doing a research about the anthem and what it is about beforehand! At the end he salutes the people that are not only generals but also low ranking soldiers or civilians including women who fought for the country's independence.. The founder of our country Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is one of the greatest leaders and men ever lived but there are also thousands of unknown heroes that made the victory possible in such impossible circumstances.. We can never repay them enough for what they've accomplished..
You repay them by electing Erdogan...
Abi sen adamın dibisin çok iyi bir insansın sen mustafa kemal atatürke saygı duyuyorsun bazıları türk olmasına ramen saygı duymuyor sen adamın dibisin
The man who lost his life at this war was Haluk Levent’s Grandfather(about the photo at the end) And he is saying the others name and sending his regards to them. Also their names are writting on the seats.
The Anthem of İzmir
Flowers bloom on the mountains of İzmir
The golden Sun shines goldenly there
The damaged enemies run like a bat out of hell
Long live Mustafa Kemal Pasha, long live
Your name will be written on jewel
I sat and stayed on the mountains of İzmir
And I wrote those who are martry
I welcomed orphan kids with my open arms
insanın dinlerken tüyleri diken diken oluyor
@ kingdomofluke explanation for the last frame: “Dede” is grandpa. He mentions his grandpa saying that he fought in various in battles for 14 years and died. One of his brothers kept on living but had a bullet in his body. Haluk salutes them and others who were defending the country.
They are not generals. They are heroic characters mostly sacrifaced themselves during the war. He is sending salute to martyrs to show respect.
I must say that that word in the song is literally "Flower" but is interpreted as "Martyries of the war". The song itself has no hate against any nation, yet gives kinda patriotic feeling.
6:23 Respect ❤️
Today, this anthem is said in Turkey. Because today (September 9) is Izmir's day to get rid of the enemy. I came to watch it again.
This one makes me cry all the time...
"Kemal" means; wisdom and virtue in terms of maturity, completeness, maturity, competence.
I just get goosebumps whenever i listen to İzmir Marşı
omg, i'm crying... ATATÜRK!
Hi Luke! The last man is Haluk Levent's grandfather. He fought in Çanakkale,Sakarya and Yemen. From Turkey with love.
Who added in the subtitles? I want to add you into the description please to say thanks. Contact me on Instagram.

7:18 says "salute" to our martyrs who fought in the liberation war
Haluk Levent says's greetings to casualty soldiers with names bro and i have to say you are really great person analyze and reacting turkish music like your style bro greetings from turkey

If my eyes are filling with tears every time Atatürk is mentioned, think about how perfect he is. This is not only about patriotism, this is about his great personality.
can you also react to Çanakkale Türküsü? with lyrics that make me sad everytime

This is top
Kemal means Perfect.
We are very grateful to him and all our heroes. and thank you very much for your respectability in the video again.😊
and our hero at the end of that video haluk's great grandfather also thanks him
Pentagram - Bir, bro it's the best Anatolian metal rock :)
One had lived 40 years with a bullet in his body..."
This song (march) is patriotic and about war of independence, but, for like 15 years it gained another meaning as well.
Video gives the clear message of "we, men and women, have fought side by side and built this republic together."
Polyphonic orchestral music, men and women play and sing together, bow tie, man with an earring are some symbols and a message to counter-revolutionaries, sharia supporters. "we will not be oppressed and we will not become another middle-eastern country you're looking for"
So it's not merely about patriotism or fight with Greeks etc.
Wow, thanks i didnt know about this meaning also while watching it. Thank you
Alnından öpüyorum kardeşim
Aradan yıllar geçse bile sürekli bu videoları izlemeye geliyoruz. Bunu asla unutma bizler bu videoları asla unutmayacağız. Sana da çok teşekkür ederiz.

ATAM loved rakı so much. Now go and take one
Thanks kanka 😂❤️
Rica ederim Kanka 👍
The meaning of Haluk Levent's sentence:
Who fought to support National struggle at risk their lives...
"Yenibahçeli Şükrü from the Police Station Society", "Captain Seyfettin from the Hamza group", "Topkapılı Mehmet Cambaz from the Mim Mim group...

8:02 The people who fought weren't just generals. The man with the grocery store went to war, and the woman who looked after the child went to war. There was no need to be a soldier for the national struggle.
