Good to watch you do it. I'll attempt mine now 😂
Ironic how this video popped up and I've just gotten my oil vacuum pump this week, was going to make a video myself I was that impressed!
Shocked you haven't got more subscribers mate, just looked at a few of your videos and they're spot on, I need to get some new content up myself. If I'm ever down your way you can work on my car :-)
Sounds like a plan :)
So helpful. Thank you!!
Wow this looks airily easy 😃. I’m gonna peer into my engine tomorrow and see if I can spot the oil filter.... 😆
Good luck!
Been using a pump for years. Great idea 👏 love vag (lol) but nice to see some other makes and models being worked on
with the oil on the new seals you do it to prevent the seal from cracking upon refiting which will prevent some leaks
Give us the preview of your intro music please!!!!! I know it for over 3 years already.
its available on my website www.bmacvags.com
Had no idea this was up, by luck I seen it in my subscriptions. RUclips messing around.
I'm NOT a fan of the oil being sucked out. Don't forget , at the bottom of the engine, the sump plug is magnetic and it may have dome metal debris that needs to be cleared
What about replacing the fuel filter? Its very important that you do this at the same time!!
The oil being vacuum sucked out allows for easy maintenance, regular oil maintenance is by far the best thing you can do for your engine. Fuel filters are also important, but changing is of the highest priority.
I'm a HUGE fan of vacuum oil exactors, bought one 10 years ago. Are sump plugs magnetic? If they are and there was metal stuck to it then there's something seriously wrong with the engine, which some new oil isn't going to fix. Same goes for sludge, I've never seen oil 'sludge' some out of a sump drain. If I did then I'd be taking the sump off since it would be full of sludge.
I've serviced my TDI Leon for the last 7 years using an oil extractor. Engine & turbo running fine - not bad for a 16 year car with 140,000 miles.
Fuel filter replacement is normally recommended every 20 to 30 thousand miles.
if oil fillter underneath you still got to get on your back though
Yes of course, however usually the oil filter access is usually easier than the sump.
