Haha I wouldn’t have understood this several years ago but on my way to Stockholm I stopped in Finland for a few hours. I had never seen an airport so quiet and relaxed. Nothing like the US.
In my experience, the Finnes are kind of like us Dutchies, humble and not so braggy, akin to prefer personal space and overal grounded people. I appreciate that characteristic.

Nobody gets embarrassed, or just had a bad day thats now all over the internet. I'd be interested in finding out if that might have happened with this, or any previous videos.

Having done business in Finland (from the US - Semiconductors) for over 10 years (back in the 90s), it is such a pleasure to see that Tuomas, while remaining quintessentially Finnish, seems to show that the newer generation of Finnish citizenry has become more comfortable being outwardly open. I absolutely loved all of the time I spent in Finland and the Finnish people but their very reserved culture took some getting used to. The only way to get them out of their shells was to get them drunk. It was like meeting a completely new person. Wonderful episode and gesture by the host of the channel! Hats off and kiitos!

Perfect! Loved the way you spoon fed Tuomas his first ever oyster & his positive response to the seafood generally. Interestingly Finnish & Hungarian both belong to the Finno-Ugric language family, but usually don't understand each other. Luckily for us, you both speak such excellent English and enhanced our perception of the world at large in so many ways through this episode.
That's something I was wishing for from this show. Some interaction with his dinner companions. I mean, I understand why he doesn't do it usually. Because it's about the restaurant, and not some influencer show. Or as little as possible about himself or other guests.

I recognise so much. I have eaten (and stayed) at 42 this year too. First time eating caviar as well and what he says is just like my thoughts. Not what I thought it would taste like. So many different new dishes, wines... There was one tokaji aszu, Kiralyudvar, that one was so interesting. Unlike any wine I drank before. Esztergom is worth exploring indeed. Good experience!

Just been to Sandors restaurant and had the exact same menu! Its been by far the best one starred experience so far and I hope you get the second star next year! A very little bit of improvement and youll get it.
I love watching these videos, but end up laughing every time. I laugh because I have a finicky palate, and in about 99% of these videos, I would eat nothing in the episodes, due to my limited palate. Oh, well.

Amazing experience. It’s funny how you might be afraid to explore these kinds of dishes as a novice but as long as you keep an open mind and really try and focus on the flavors, you’ll more often than not be pleasantly surprised.
