I just want a good fishing SUV; don't really care about mpg! I want a good, long lasting vehicle, and don't care about mileage or number of seats! V6 power is cool and the others are NOT!
I wonder if the current MPG on the head unit trip computer reads accurately. Cause I've seen it say I'm getting up to 26 MPG but I don't know how accurate it is
You know.... its really nice it does not have a ton of gloss black everywhere. Side note, the passport is a bit high in price. It kind of competes with the odyssey
Any reason to get the passport trailsport over the Subaru Ascent Premium which is 6k cheaper, or the Ascent Onyx which is 2k cheaper and produces 2-3 better mpg on highway?
This was an SUV we were looking at when we ended up buying a Santa Fe (yes it's smaller). What is up with the Jitterbug style temp and fuel gauges? they are almost cartoon like. Second the infotainment is way too basic. Lastly the powertrain. I like at altitude (7,200) and all these vehicles are anemic at best. I don't want to be hitting VTEC Yo to feel like I'm getting up to speed.
I get 30 on the highway with my 2017 FWD Ridgeline. I'm interested in the Passport but it's hard to pay 40k+ for a vehicle and take a step BACK in MPG...
25 mpg is great! This Passport is the same dimensions with same V6 as my 2011 Pilot which gets at best 18-19 mpg on highway.

I Got 30Mpg going 65 MPH
been looking for a replacement for my 08 grand cherokee and this is probably the best so far
Good chouce! The passport will outlive the modern GC's
It’s a great SUV! So glad they kept the V6❤!
DM, I give them credit for adding the smoothness provided by extra sidewall . 😁
What gas did you used

Passport 2 row 5 passagers-- odyssey 3 row 8 passagers Don't think thier Even in the same ballpark
Think Pilot

towing and clearance?
So the crv can’t fit 2 adults and 2 kids??
My friend is 6ft 4 and he doesn't fit in the crv. Drivers seat doesn't go back far enough

And you chose the least reliable choice and much less practical...
anemic? 280hp? lol
It would be great if you can do a fuel efficiency test on a value gas car like the Toyota Corolla or Mitsubishi Mirage.
Funny you mention that, we’ve been trying to get a Mirage for some time now
@@DailyMotor Yeaaa maybe rent a mirage CVT. Rental places like enterprise usually have them.
This J series is ancient. I’m sure the next gen Passport/Pilot will use a 4 cyl turbo, or maybe a detuned version of the updated Acura J series turbo.
Odyssey with the same engine did 33mpg in the same mpg test 🙂
Honda Pilot was just released with no turbo
This motor is new for 2023. It will stick around for atleast 5 years
@@Eugen-E probably cause its FWD and also better aerodynamics
@@LoveLikeaHurricane Better aerodynamics? Not sure.
Honestly 25 is terrible. The pilot gets like 29

Not much more mpg than my 2020 4R TRD Pro.
On long road trips that difference adds up.
Haha bullshit
You must have amazing skills to get close to 25 in a 4Runner. 👌
Tell us another lie.
