@@AnneHunich I was the same untill I heard about Constantine and how he was working with the Roman catholics and they where the ones who got to choose what was in the Bible, also the creed of Constantine we have today only 66books they put together there's so much more out there i have read alot and it's made my belief so much more stronger and the books are accurate like Enoch, maccabees, jubilees ect there's lots more it's amazing I recommend you to look for yourself then decide what you think

I never heard of this book before, but it is a great treat with a great reading by Scourby. I'm looking forward to the other portions. This work seems to flesh out the Book of Genesis quite a bit and quite logically too. I half believe it in its details. The sons of Adam through Seth are the preachers of righteousness and the sons of Adam through Cain are the sons of men.

I would like to know when the Book of Jasher was found. The book of Phillip was found I believe in the 1940's sometime. Very interesting reading. Puts into perspective missing info .. eg: how Issac knew he was to be sacrificed and offered no resistance.. there is no mention of that in three Bibles my son and I have researched. Perhaps I am wrong.

@@AnneHunich I was the same untill I heard about Constantine and how he was working with the Roman catholics and they where the ones who got to choose what was in the Bible, also the creed of Constantine we have today only 66books they put together there's so much more out there i have read alot and it's made my belief so much more stronger and the books are accurate like Enoch, maccabees, jubilees ect there's lots more it's amazing I recommend you to look for yourself then decide what you think

How many are here after reading the Bible?
I never heard of this book before, but it is a great treat with a great reading by Scourby. I'm looking forward to the other portions.
This work seems to flesh out the Book of Genesis quite a bit and quite logically too. I half believe it in its details. The sons of Adam through Seth are the preachers of righteousness and the sons of Adam through Cain are the sons of men.

I would like to know when the Book of Jasher was found. The book of Phillip was found I believe in the 1940's sometime. Very interesting reading. Puts into perspective missing info .. eg: how Issac knew he was to be sacrificed and offered no resistance.. there is no mention of that in three Bibles my son and I have researched. Perhaps I am wrong.

The Book of Jasher, also known as the "Sefer haYashar" or "Yasher" in Hebrew, which translates to "The Book of the Upright" or "The Book of Jasher," is an ancient text that is referenced twice in the Hebrew Bible, specifically in the books of Joshua (Joshua 10:13) and 2 Samuel (2 Samuel 1:18). The references in the Bible do not provide a clear date or location for the discovery of the Book of Jasher.
The text that is commonly referred to as the Book of Jasher today is a compilation of several different works from various periods. The oldest known version, the "Jasher of the Italians," was found in the 16th century in the library of a synagogue in the Italian town of Reggio Emilia. However, the origins of the text are uncertain, and it is likely that it has been added to and modified over time.
Another version, known as the "Jasher of the Hebrews" or "Jasher Beni Yisra'el," emerged in the 18th century, and was published in England in 1751. This version claims to be a translation from an ancient Hebrew manuscript that was discovered in Spain by a man named Mr. Samuel Jones. However, the authenticity of this claim is widely disputed by scholars, who generally consider the text to be a later composition with no direct connection to the Book of Jasher mentioned in the Bible.
The Book of Jasher is not part of the canonical Hebrew Bible or the Protestant, Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox Christian Bibles, but it is recognized by some groups as an important piece of religious literature that provides additional details and interpretations of biblical stories, particularly those from the time of the Judges and the early Kingdom of Israel. The content varies significantly from the biblical narratives, and its historical accuracy and authorship are subjects of debate among scholars and religious communities.
