I can't thank you enough for putting this on FANTASTIC. To see my Dad speaking and laughing . I absolutely love it and so does my brother. From Linda (Jim's Daughter).

You're welcome, I'm sorry for the bad edit at the end, but the original was on an old video tape and that was all I could save. Your dad gave me, and is still giving through his music and personality, hours of enjoyment. I saw him preform numerous times and he always delivered a set to remember, whether to a crowd of 100's or a table of 3.
I used to go and watch him in Letham and sometimes there would only be myself and a couple friends watching. We were truly blessed these evenings. We would sit and request songs and your dad would oblige, throwing in some material we had never heard before. One evening he sang "Where Have All The Flowers Gone", that had us all close to tears and still when I think about it, the hairs on the back of my neck tingle
He gave so much to Scottish music and I feel honoured to have heard him play.

Linda, do you know the name of the song your father is singing here? I'd love to look up the lyrics. Love his voice.... thank you

I had the privilege of sitting next to this awesome gentleman whilst he played in the Loch Rannoch hotel bar back in the 90s. He had time for everyone and anyone, a true talented gentleman..

Great to hear and see Jim playing, musicians like Jim inspired me as a kid to be a musician. My folks in Lochee played his music awe the time alang wi The Corries etc. His character and love of his land and music shines through his songs, couthy, fun and proud. Hopefully I can capture a bit o Jims magic when I play his songs. He enriched many many lives, great fur the Dundee area. Thanks for the upload.

I had the privilege of sitting next to this fine gentleman when he performed at the Loch Rannoch Hotel in the mid 90s. He is an absolute polite man who had time for anyone, happy memories 👍

Glad to see you're recovered from the big drag racing crash, Jimmy boy. Can you sing some AC/DC for me please, Jimbo?
