Thank you for showing the run at the end. I tried for ten minutes or so to pick it out, then found your lesson. The others show just the chords. I already knew them, but was having trouble with that lick at the end. Again, thank you for taking the time to show it.

Hi Craig, thank you for your kind message it is very much appreciated! Nice to meet someone from the state of Kentucky where Colonel Saunders began his enterprise in Corbin! :)) I'll bet he never imagined that the entire world would taste his chicken recipes someday. I have many favorite S&G tunes but 'The Only Living Boy In New York' is definitely up in the top 10 for me. I heard a very nice cover of this by 'Everything But The Girl', check it out if you haven't heard it. All the best to you and you too keep rocking! Kind regards, Ken :-)
Hi Ken, Just stumbled on this while looking for your Apache tutorial again. Brilliant song brilliantly sang and played..... as usual ! Amazing..... I just wish it was as easy as you make it look ! ! ! Regards Roj
Hello Anthony, Thanks for leaving a comment, Im pleased you found my video was useful. This song is one of my favourites to perform when I do concerts. :) Christopher Walken huh? That's a first...hehee could think of many worse to be compared with, Chris Walken is a great actor, I've always liked his movies. Take care and keep enjoying your music!
@murphy52 Thank you! I watched your father and daughter video the other day it was very nice. I haven't been on internet much because I'm having a really busy week but I will check out your channel as soon as I get a moment. :)
+Jerry Simon Hi Jerry, I have noticed that too, so many guitarists do model planes and vice versa. I think there must be some connection somewhere between aviation and art. :-)
Ken, thanks for the lesson. I love this song and have been trying to play it correctly for a long time. Has anybody ever told you look and sound like a young Christopher Walken ? ANTHONY
great lesson! I'm going to try this out tomorrow night whe I host our open mic! One question.....I'm playing a 1997 414ce very similar to yours but my bass respone is not as good and it looks as though your playing a 412? what strings are you using? I'm playing elixir 12s....that may be the issue...great job and I did like your FB page....
+Martinman Hi, I'm playing 312-CE and the strings were Martin Light Guage .012, I too use Elixir strings now as they last much longer than regular ones. The bass response was probably partly due to the microphone I was using to record, (my guitar wasn't plugged in with a cable) it was a Rode NT2 condenser mic. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope the song goes well tomorrow night at the open mic! Oh and thanks for the FB page like too. All the best, Ken :-)
The best tutorial of this great song on RUclips ,,, in my humble opinion, great job Ken 👍
Thanks Paul! It's very kind of you to say that, I'm happy you enjoyed it. :-)
