    This is great that they're raising awareness as I personally know what addiction can do and it's time to break down the stereotype of an "addict"... They could be your teacher, your friend, your dad, your role model and hey you probably won't even know, sometimes not until it's too late. An addict can be anyone, remember that my Gleeks.

    You are absolutely right, and that is why it is so important to spread the message of help and not hate. When it is someone you love it is harder, but it doesn't mean you give up. They may refuse to listen, they may even hate you for a while, but there is always that hope that they will one day finds their way back home. No human life is worthless, no one is expendable. Everyone has someone who loves them. If you cant be empathetic to the addict, empathize with their loved ones. Everyone counts.

    That is what named it so real...they might have said "Finn" but they were talking about Cory. The episode showed all of the emotions you go through after such a tragedy...grief, denial, anger, etc. the stepdad wanting to hug him again. The mom going on mothering without a child. Enemies whose true feelings are closer to love than hate. Beautifully done.

    Thank you! I'm a 23-year-old straight edge female who has never done any drugs and hasn't had a drink of alcohol in over 2 years, and even I wouldn't judge Cory Monteith for his addiction. None of us have that right. No, drug addiction isn't involuntary like cancer, but it is STILL a disease. It makes changes to your brain chemistry and your ability to reason, and addiction is almost always co-morbid with depression or another mental illness. I'm so sick of people and their negativity.

    Even though I ugly cried through the whole tribute episode, I found myself wondering why everyones' acting had went downhill. But reminded myself that the cast was literally emotionally drained while filming it. I also like how they decided not to put in a story of how Finn died, made it a little more meaningful.

    Thank you! Finally, someone who actually gets it! But it's impossible. I really wish we could live in a world without alcohol or substance abuse, but it's never going to happen. People will always find ways to hurt themselves and others, regardless of whether or their actions are or aren't "intentional".

    Despite being an addict, both Corey and his character Finn helped a lot of people all over the world and the cause of his death should not be a reason to disregard his outstanding life. It should be a story that shows how despite addiction he worked really hard to be a friend, an actor and a role model.

  • @icantwait48
    @icantwait48 11 лет назад

    I understand why they filmed this and it really does help get the message out there that addiction is a serious thing. I'm just slightly disappointed that they had to lose a family member to make this public service announcement. I'm still glad they did it, though.

It's true that Corey did NOT look sick and this could have happened to one of your loved ones. Bottom line: Nobody needs to be alone and face such a tragedy. Rest peacefully Corey - You are going to be missed < 333

    Plus Will was the first person to see Finn for the talented kid he really was but Will and Finn were like the glue that held the group together and Will had to go on holding the group together without Finn. So it kinda makes sense that Will held his feelings and then broke at the end. Horribly tragic :(

    The thing that's important is that he had tried very, very hard to become sober again. He had checked himself into rehab just a few months before he died. It goes to show that no matter how hard you try, you're always in danger of a relapse. Once you're addicted, it stays for the rest of your life. What we need to focus on now is the lives Cory touched. Not the cause of his death. Though these PSAs are a responsible move.

    Um, the cast was doing that the entire episode through song. I agree, the ending fit the episode. Finn meant so much to Mr. Shue, despite their falling out over Emma. As a teacher and a mentor, he had to be strong for everyone else, at the end, he couldn't hold it in any longer. As far as the jacket goes, it's going to be hard to divide it up four ways (Kurt, Santana, Puck, and Mr. Shue).

    Heather (Brittney) was pregnant while this was being filmed, Dianna (Quinn) said that she doesn't want to do Glee anymore (due to bad blood between her and the cast and Ryan Murphy), Joe was never a big character, and Rory was a transfer student who (I believe) transferred back to his own school after Season 3 (I could be wrong about that part).

I don't understand how some people could be so heartless. He was very loved by so many people and they didn't know he was an addict. He literally got ripped away from them in the blink of an eye. One stupid mistake like doing drugs should not affect how his life was viewed. Cory was an amazing individua

Cory was a real person, and even though 99.9% of us didn't know him personally, it still hurts to hear that he died. Watching the tribute is how we know how to deal with the grief of losing someone you looked up to. Don't bash people for trying to deal with their pain.

    That's not stupid at all, it's a great point, However, given the nature of filming shorts like this where the cameraman is listening to the actor talk (a lot like an interview format), actors all tend to be sitting when they film.
