Have you ever used the sleeve? I’ve used it many times and majority of the times you use it, it’s basically the same as not using it at all since it’s not gonna stop the bit from slipping… it’ll only stop you from slipping from the screw and chipping your bit 😂 Additionally, that sleeve sometimes slips out of the bit extender after some time… it’s good for the basic uses yes but the new flex torq bit sleeve from dewalt helps significantly with Drywall screws which is more or less the point of the video
This bit will save you a hand quite often. However, the first holder you demonstraded, it is not supposed to be a magnetic screw holder like many thinks it does. it is not the purpose of the sliding bit holder. The magnetic in it is for the bit and together with the slide, it makes a pretty powerful tool itself if you actually use it as intented.
Is a must when you work in old houses and you are replacing switches and oulets. When you a putting the plate o the cover of the switch is a ordeal, is dark to see the hole to insert the screw, but with this adapter you are in total control you can do it quickly and well done, regards from Mexico
Well I got one of this box with the bits and that magnet and at the beginning I couldn't figure how to take it out but now I know thank you very much.😊
The first magnetic holder you didn’t use right. For a fair comparison you should use all products correctly. It makes me think you are just selling something.
Great video. You convinced me to go and get one, so i did. However i then discovered you cant use it for small screw bits😮. How you meant to use the magnetic sleeve for small screw bits?. Any suggestion?. Thanx
Doesn't the sleeve slide down over the screw on the first bit holder you used? If i remember rightly it should do and give the screw more support. Probably not as effective as the new one you demonstrated. I like most of your videos by the way.
Thanks Keith. Yes the sleeve does slide down over the bit I demonstrated with, but I just wanted to compare the powerful magnetic bit with a standard magnetic bit.
Did you really need just under nine minutes to show us that one bit holder is superior to the other? I could have demonstrated that very clearly in a three minute video. I would have articulated the differences in one minute, demonstrated it in one minute and summarized everything in the third minute.
Quite astonishing there's at least 5 people pointed out he didn't use it properly. This video just makes me think, "What else doesn't he know. If he can't use a bit holder, what else is he wrong about". Post a correction or delete the video to save face.
Interesting that you didn’t use the sleeve function for the first Dewalt bit holder which is what it is designed for.

How do you get the bit out? My dewalt phillips will not come out.

Are you talking about the DeWalt sleeve?
You’re like the only one who explains it’s purpose. Thank you!
That's great! I got one of those in a bit set I bought recently and didn't even know what it was. Now I do. Glad I got it. That will make life easier.
How do you take the bit out?
I switched to this model and I find them great and by far better than the pull down sleeve version as on site I like to belt the screws in fast!

How do you get the bit back out of the magnettic sleave?
Put it in the drill and then pull it out.
@@amyreaves2166 brill thank u

Thx! 🇺🇸Great demo. And yes Very frustrating with the flimsy magnet slinging screws when on ladder!
Awesome tool.

if you pull the sleeve on the first dewalt screw holder....it actually works better. Just use it correctly

@@JBTV Fair enough.
I find for speed I tend not to use the slide sleeve on the ones I have!
Ok you just made up my mind 😂 there goes my money
Good clip, how do you take it off the bit. I wanted to put it on a longer bit and I can't take it off
Yeah, it's pretty tough to be honest, you just have to really yank it!!
thanks for the vid. I just got one and was wondering ??? does this do.. Now I know. 👍
Can you change the bit
Yeah but how to do you remove the bit to use it in another five and every time it feels like I’m gonna break it
does it work on another bit brand like wera?
Pull the sleeve forward
Now try decoupling the bit!
You can’t!
How do you remove the sleeve when you want to change the bit? I can’t do it though it came with a spare! Argh…
😊
Will this work on the flex torq bits I think the sleeve is longer?
how do you remove the accessory to use on another bit?
Just pull it 😂
Nice!!

So do you like it?
But how do you get the bits out of it???
ive no idea and i cnt find nothing on it that says how to move the bit
I got the x20 version, it just takes a hard pull to remove the bit.
While it’s chucked in your drill pull it off. It’s very tight but will come off with force.
@@gregoryfleeman4582 thank you. That was easy!
As comment below, you are supposed to pull the sleeve down. Can't fool me
Try getting the bit back out! Nope!!
All u have to do is hot glue a small but powerful magnet on the side and its done stop giving dewalt cash for no reason

Do your research before you make a video, the one you critique as no good is actually the best if you use it properly 😉
