I'm not a fan of Kenwood after the gps failed on two different Kenwood units. I'm about to replace it with an Atoto and see how it works. installation should be similar, though, so thanks for the video.
Did you replace the unit with an Atoto? How is it functioning? I am wanting to add a rear camera and do a head unit replacement all at the same time. Thank you.
Was wondering how the gps antenna worked out in the place you located it. I Am looking to do the same install in a 2004 Winnebago class c on a E450 ford chassis.
Can you let me know how you hooked up the rca to HDMI adapter, rca cable and the 3.5mm to rca adaptors? You don't show completely how you hooked them up the the head unit and t.v. I am copying this exact setup. Even the same minnie winnie and head unit. I bought all of the same items off of amazon too. I am trying to get this done today.
You made mention of a second install kit approximately 14:20 in your video. Did you purchase two different install kits? If so what was the second one and why did you switch? Thanks so much and appreciate the videos.
I followed your wiring video, and had no luck . I tested the radio on the battery of the truck, and it booted up. I saw you have the same jumper wire on the plug for the radio I have. Do you know what that jumper is for?
Hey, asking if anyone knows or if the OP can comment. I have the same radio but the plastic guide gets stuck on the metal slide. Does anyone have a way to push it down? I have a 2006 Ford e450.
Enjoyed the video. Where did you purchase the the connection harness? I have purchased 3 from Amazon & Sonicelectronix that do not fit my 2008 Ford E450
installed my head unit based on these instructions but ive somehow switched the constant 12v and switched 12v power. thoe red wires are together and yellow wires are together. whats the deal
The yellow wire should be 12 volt all the time and the red wire should be only active when the ignition switch is on. You might want to take a multitester and double check. There could be wiring defaults in your camper
@@emmettfrancis it's supposed to stay active for 10 minutes or until one of the doors is opened. Did you try opening a door to shut it off? If so, does the dome light work? Could be an issue with your door sensor.
We just got a Class C E450 also. I want to upgrade to stereo system also. How did you run 6 speaker into 4 speaker wire harness. I am definitely new at this and stereo places don't want to help. We would have to cut a few pieces off the panel and they don't want to hassle with that. We have 2 speakers in the driver's cabin. 4 speakers in living room space of the RV and 2 speakers for the outside. Any tips or info would be appreciative. Good video. Thank you.
I am pretty sure that you will find behind the dash only connections for front and rear speakers. In RV's they usually split the rear sound signal into multiple sets of speakers.
Hi, I'm have the same motor home and am upgrading the radio. This video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for making it. I have a question. Why did you opt to drill a new hole in the dash for the USB port instead of using one of the two existing holes (the cigarette lighter or the power port)? Mike
Hi. Where is the video of you creating that Winnebago intro screen, when you first turned on the unit?

Works great.
Nice install
Thanks. Very informative video. I’m doing something similar with a Kenwood on my 2004. Where did you find the reverse wire for the head unit?
From the backup lights.

PLEASE?????
How did you pull off the padding in the cabin to run the wires?

I did not purchase it, but had used it previously on other Ford installations. It didn't fit as well.
Can you tell me what the other wiring harness with the illumination lead on it is?
Great video, thank you....

Not sure what jumper you are talking about
The original plug in the back of the old radio has a jumper wire that is orange right by the paper tag that sais MADE IN.
How d id you pop the dashoard around the vents?
Just have to yank

Brute force? :)
Enjoyed the video.

I have purchased 3 from Amazon & Sonicelectronix that do not fit my 2008 Ford E450
It was just a standard Ford "world" connection. You can buy them anywhere including any walmart
Does your RV have side view camera? And does this stereo work with that side camera?
No and no

thank you! the accessory circuit just stays active for 10 minutes after the keys are removed!

Was wondering what dash kit you actually used. I have the same Kenwood stereo,
but the ASC kit listed in your remarks doesn't fit right.
I used the one in the description. It's tight and a little bit of trimming may be necessary. I remember having to force it in the dash
Nice video. Is that TV AC only or DC as well?
This one is AC only. I have a small pure sine inverter in case we want to watch it on the go

Mike
It was very easy to drill the holes and I use the cigarette lighter ports for other chargers.
