First time I've ever seen a conventional guitarist get pedal steel tones without benders. He's phenomenal !
Love his quiet notes and chords mostly with tremelo sounding. He plays like that in Steve Gadds band. Awesome.

Really nice drumming by Ian Thomas. Not as over the top as Gary Novak or Toss Panos but plays very musically and controlled.
As great Ian plays, he just can't touch Gary and Toss.

Landau is a guitarists guitarist. Thank God an honest friend intervened and told him to get a wash and cut.
the drummer is so concentrated and controled .... i miss Gary Novak on these tours a lot
his fluidity, creativity, chops and musicality is on totally another level.
thing with gary is that i can never hear the guitar over his drumming, If it was a gary novak show, i'd be fine. But I wanna listen to Landau.

@john cash I really was just trying to figure it out. I'm not super familiar with Landau's different projects over the years so I wanted to get hip
it's actually a quartet, the forth member is the singer David Frazee (from Mikes old band from the 90's, Burning Water). However this is an instrumental so I suppose he has a break.

My favorite Landau song, one of the all-time great guitar instrumental classics.... BUT, the tempo here is W A Y too fast! Where's the fire guys? Please cut this tempo in half!

SUGAR LIFE I don’t think Mike’s pedals deter from him being arguably one of the greatest guitarists alive. I am a big fan of playing straight into the amp as well. I think the difference is that Mike doesn’t “need” the pedals to play and sound great.
