    The king of groove. Even though I am a guitar player and not a drummer, I always credit Bonham as my number one musical influence- those relaxed yet powerful grooves … music at its purest.

      @@Qixo_ Moon is brilliant in his own way - if you listen to any Who record, he never plays the same fill the same way twice. Yet it all coheres well. He bends the rules in his own insane way.
      Also: brain fart, I meant Hal Blaine of the Wrecking Crew - not Hal Leonard (the music publisher 😆).

    I started playing drums when I was 5 and when I started to take lessons it got more complicated and I started loosing interest plus playing sports kinda side tracked me but once I bought my First Zeppelin album and hearing this amazing band and
    Mr Bonham playing drums 🥁 that's when I got serious and rediscovered my true passion and to he'll with sports .

      @@BONZOICK It doesn't matter that Moon couldn't do what Bonham did. No great rock musician can do what other great rock musicians did and they aren't interested in doing so. Bonham couldn't do what Moon did. Play with wild abandonment and great spontaneity and flexibility and in a melodic and symphonic manner. He couldn't even play as Charlie Watts did, with an R&B feel and groove, subtlety, swing and restraint.

    • @BONZOICK
      @BONZOICK 11 месяцев назад

      @@anthonypuccetti8779 Lol You're very wrong about that. Bonham had influences of R&B, funk, african, ect not just in jazz. You're just trying to instigate that Bonham couldn't swing argument because thats all you got, lol. I really think anyone who really believes that either has bad musical ears, or they haven't heard him really play a drum solo. He had excellent chops and rudiments. Also yes he didn't play typical jazz or whatever just because he was in a rock band which is besides the point, but bonhams phrasing always swung way better than the drummer you mentioned.

    • @anthonypuccetti8779
      @anthonypuccetti8779 11 месяцев назад

      @@BONZOICK You don't read well. I didn't say anything about his infIuences or that he lacked variety of styles and I didn't make a Bonham couldn't swing argument. Maybe Ginger Baker was right that Bonham couldn't swing but it doesn't matter. So what that he had those influences and had excellent chops? So do studio session drummers and RUclips drummers. My point was that Bonham couldn't play as Moon and Watts did. And their manners of playing were essential to the sound and styles of the bands they belonged to.
      "bonhams phrasing always swung way better than the drummer you mentioned."
      No. And you can't explain how you think he did.
