This is subjective, one of the best rock drummers ever for sure but each music style has its load of legendary drummers and many of them were as musical and much better technician than John Bonham. I love his playing, Jimmy Page is my favourite musician and Zeppelin is my personal favourite band as well but I will never say that Page is the best guitarist ever it doesn't make sense.
@@thomassankara5627 it makes sense if it's what you feel. Lots of fancy technical competency out there people call genius, but how hard is to get really good at something, anything, if you throw yourself into it. Many Many people can do that if they choose to be driven by money and fame, such is the sad state of the music industry today. But there are very few that can channel or express true genius through music for music only. Page, Lennon, Morrison, Bowie...the list is very short, and sadly a long time ago. I always say Page is the best guitarist ever down the pub because I know it to be true.

Don't understand why people are mad that people found this song through Thor. Not only was it used fantastically in the film, but more and more people are now able to appreciate the music. You're mad at absolutely nothing.
Deep Heat Ok, I can see the comment, from what you said, it looks like youtube spam bot is deleting your comments because they are toxic. I checked a lot of people too but not everyone is invested in Rock to know about it, you need calm down and let people who discovered it feel happy not sorry, maybe tell them about other great songs instead of pushing them away like an angst teen pushing his parents.
Deep Heat profanity does trigger them. Dude, I get what you're saying with the cringe ass normies making "who came here from Thor" but that's literally seen everywhere in every modern music, that is just how the new generations communicate man, you can't say they aren't interested in this music because if they weren't, they wouldn't have looked it up on youtube in the first place, am I right?
I have been lucky enough to have been born under a lucky star. 1956, and in 70, 71 and 72, I saw Zeppelin live all 3 times at the Garden. I was 15, 16 and 17. They opened up with Immigrant song at one of these concerts. Another time, they opened up with rock n roll. Am I not the luckiest girl in the world. I try to put these feelings into words but sometimes I can't. I do truly feel for all you youngsters that will never get to see them live. Instead, you can imagine what's it like to hear Stairway for the first time.byou can listen to it and view on computers, but sadly, it's just NOT THE SAME. I still pray at the altar of Zeppelin. It never gets old. I'm 62 now and I still listen to my never ending playlists every day. Led Zeppelin, the best band ever. Ever. Bonham, the best drummer. Better than Dave Grohl, better than Roger Taylor. There's just Bonham and then, everybody else.👏👏
Yes you are lucky.....I came out the same model year....good news some replacement parts are available, just got a new hip....I was lucky to meet the band and watch them play while working security in Orlando....peace Marilyn
@Marilyn Catalano - Your right about them probably being the greatest rock band of all time, but the greatest rock drummer of all time is probably Carl Palmer of ELP. Never saw Zeppilin, but saw ELP in the '70s when they had the heaviest (actual weight) road show ensemble and equipment in rock history also. Palmer's drum set went up in the air and spun, maybe head over heels spinning as well; and you couldn't even see his arms below the elbows he was moving so fast. Led Zeppilin, ELP and Pink Floyd. Top 3 rock bands ever. Though there are a lot of bands nipping at their heels and in 2nd place.
Led Zeppelin - мозг, сила, мощи и скорость хард рока. Immigrant Song - неповторимый и креативный эталон харда. В основном слушаю в авто на дальных поездках.

Definitely at their live peak here. Bonzo leading the musical charge. Wow. Wish I could have seen them then. The reports from my friends who had were epic. No band could touch them and nobody but nobody sounded like them.
I am 62yo, I was 18 when this was shot, and I jumped the fence, ran across the grass and stood right at the front of the stage. Every time I see this video I look for myself in the crowd, but it is always too blurry to make out who is in the audience. It was an amazing time in music....remember it so well.
+Steve Lockwood Im so jealous Steve. In 80 I was old enough with permissuon to travel from Ma. to New York MSG because they were still banned from Boston. But so sadly Bonham passed before the US tour. I was crushed.
+Spog Zallagi not really... don't really know why a lot of people say this was the beginning of metal... it's just pure blues... it's pretty much the beginning of everything in modern music
Of all the bluesy songs Zeppelin made, this has to be the least bluesy. This is just plain old Rock, but ask any Metal musician, they'd probably say this song was a major influence. Plus, most modern genres trace their roots to the Blues, so I'd say Blues influences are a given.
+Dev n however, I can't think of any plain rock bands at that time that released a song as hard as this, not the who, not steppenwolf, nobody. same with the last verses of stairway to heaven some heavy shit right here for it's time.
When I got into Led Zeppelin’s discography, I realized that all the great rock songs that I used to love hearing as a kid on commercials and movies were all Led Zeppelin songs.

Most singers today just don't have this level of talent. Plant could absolutely scream his head off and hold a note. Combine that with Paige on the guitar, Bonham of the drums, and Jones playing whatever instrument they need him to, these guys really were the best.
What most people don't realize is this song has been constantly kicking ass since 1972. It's a constant like oxygen.
Really? I was still in high school and was thinking it was 1969. Whenever it was, their first album blew us all away.
Yeah, Led Zeppelin 3came out in 1970.
Now it's 2022, a half century anniversary of this concert, but it sounds fresh and new.
Longer than that - I remember being a kid and calling a radio station to request this to play on New Year's Day 1970.

You are The true fan, Rock on!
Bonzo is an absolute beast, and in my eyes, the world’s greatest ever drummer!
Bonzo and Ginger Baker
No forget
@@thomassankara5627 it makes sense if it's what you feel. Lots of fancy technical competency out there people call genius, but how hard is to get really good at something, anything, if you throw yourself into it. Many Many people can do that if they choose to be driven by money and fame, such is the sad state of the music industry today. But there are very few that can channel or express true genius through music for music only. Page, Lennon, Morrison, Bowie...the list is very short, and sadly a long time ago.
I always say Page is the best guitarist ever down the pub because I know it to be true.
@@AleisterCrowley. It's true for you only, many could be as true as you are saying Hendrix is the best ever. It's just a matter of taste. Art isn't sports.

I like this better than the studio version. The outro is epic.
Led Zeppelin's music 🎶 will forever be timeless.
John Paul Jones,s bass is right on the button.
Perfect sound,quality,boom.
They are so tight here it is unreal. A magical =version when they were really at their pinnacle in 72. This was before the hard drugs and prolonged stadium tours. Page kills it here with his masterful improvising chords,
Prhaps his sharpest version of this song I have heard.
Everyone is one the button here. This performance is insanely tight. Band chemistry unbeatable.

Don't understand why people are mad that people found this song through Thor. Not only was it used fantastically in the film, but more and more people are now able to appreciate the music. You're mad at absolutely nothing.
Hipsters, hipsters everywhere
lmao, that dude made a comment and deleted it.
Deep Heat yeah dude, why did you remove your comment? lol
The best version of this song , they are tight & on point . It’s just perfection live 🤘🏻

Unbelievable, like I’m back in high school
Lol
My daughter is 7 and she always sing this song out loud going to school when the car stereo plays it !!! Led Zeppelin's young fans growing...
No
Can,t wright verry well
I love zep
Just an incredible song full of power. Must have sounded amazing live.
Saw it in 1972 in Brussels. Was the first song of the set ! Amazing...
It did, believe me. !!
Miss those days of actual instruments being played! Actual talent. Senior citizen.
Yes me too 🤘❤️
Bonham is an absolute monster beast at those drums!!!
Yup he's the best

One of their best live performances. Every member of the band is doing their best.
This is such a great awesome live performance by arguably the greatest rock band of all time only wish I could of been there!
There are only three actual musicians creating this wall of awesome power. Talk about the hammer of the gods!!
I counted one, but he seemed to be playing with hammers.
Page, Jones, Bonham are playing instruments. Plant is their singer. Get it?
A singer is a musician though, you could define someones voice as an instrument if you wanted to.
Led Zeppelin is and will always be the best band in history. ❤
This is no knock on Led Zeppelin...but haven't you head of The Beatles?
@@stephenstone8480 The Beatles in my opinion wrent an all round band. They, especially in their later career, made better albums. But live, they barely performed live and they weren't as incredible as Led Zeppelin live. Tge only band in history I woukd compare to Led Zeppelin live is Queen and they still weren't as good. Zeppelin were probably the best all round band. In their sound, members, ability to play instruments, and more

the next guy well done, that’s one bassist who was part of the biggest band of all time. Metal before Metal was Metal.
+Spog Zallagi not really... don't really know why a lot of people say this was the beginning of metal... it's just pure blues... it's pretty much the beginning of everything in modern music
+fidan2fast you both make a valid point
Of all the bluesy songs Zeppelin made, this has to be the least bluesy. This is just plain old Rock, but ask any Metal musician, they'd probably say this song was a major influence. Plus, most modern genres trace their roots to the Blues, so I'd say Blues influences are a given.
