Beautiful build for a red bull gravity racer... wish your wheel had not taco'd on the water hazard. I did a local bar to bar downhill race about 10 years ago where I was probably doing 30+mph over a double set of railroad tracks and caught a lot of air. 20" wheels and I definitely felt it landing, but my Greenspeed GTO recumbent trike took no damage... smaller stiffer wheels with high spoke count well tensioned. Definitely not a home brew build... a high end fast trike with 81 speeds at the time. I like your bodywork, the thick bodywork under it makes sense for a gravity racer where weight isn't a significant issue... more the better until you can't steer... but as someone who pedals their stuff, it hurt to watch that part of the build :)
Enjoyed all your build videos too, very good, very thin aluminium sheet probably would have been a better choice for the body shape though, I look forward to seeing your mk2 version. Keep up the good work 👍😊
This looks awesome, my only issue is the use of the bike wheels. In hind site it seems like a great idea but as demonstrated, they can’t handle the maneuvering the races require. Great build nonetheless.
Ruben i watched the the 4 part series and i think you did a incredible job it's sucks you bent your rim on that ridiculous set of speed bumps because you would have finished with a much faster time if you don't mind me asking what place did you finish in and also wanted to say thank you for sharing the series with us,all the best
Hey Ron, thanks for the support. I would have finished a lot quicker if I didn't have my handbrakes on the whole time (I didn't notice at the start) And I don't really know what place I was in, not first, thats for sure :) But I had fun and survived that, for me, is the most important thing

Beautiful build. I bet it wouldn't take much to convert the rear wheels to electric with that huge trunk space for batteries.

Great success, with this classy gold..
I would be going to make this with instaling motor in it..
I think your rear wheel got bent, bcus you didn't install any shock absorbers for those wheels
Sweet build! What’s the build plan for the 2020 race?
Bigger wheels! 😁
Was very funny, congratulation,a big hug from PR

Thank you, picture of pig 😜
@@SpareTimeShop maybe you could motorize the build with an electric motor
