It's better than when they're stingy. When I see the scores in the 20s I always get pissed and want to yell at my phone. Not every ride is perfect but you can't give people 20/50s, I get a little upset like who the F do these people think they are. I'd like to see them build a soapbox. Bet it would be less than a 20/50 for real.
Yeah, spend half a day in Chile watching Soapbox races / drinking and generously hand out points. Sounds good to me.
This is 1,000% about having fun. It was so great and so refreshing to see the judges not only understanding that but having fun themselves! Really, really shined a bright beautiful light on Chile and it’s people.

My favorite designs were the Paper Airplane (That was awesome), the Jesus Cross, the Potato, and the fire truck since I want to be a firefighter. Poor firefighters though! Haha!

These people need to have a few degrees of positive castor built into the front steering system, most of these carts have zero degrees of castor that is why the front wheels dart left and right every time they make a steering input. With a few degrees of positive castor angle the front wheels remain stable and the two steerable wheels stay in the direction you point them.

Where is your CAMBER people?? A bicycle wheel cannot withstand any lateral force. Usually that doesn't matter because the bike leans into turns. So your wheels need to be angled in, substantially.

I would personally base mine one a car or something because I can then make it aero. Aero all the way! Or do like custom soap box team theeming or something similar😂. And: for a soap box, strength and weight is key. The heavyer, the faster it goes, but the more strenght it needs...
