Many years ago I was dumped by a guy I really liked. I talked to one guy a few times and really liked him. We decided to have dinner before the party and he met me at the restaurant. It didn't take long for me to realized that this guy was quite shy in person and I ended up telling funny stories to take up the slack. Eventually I mentioned that I had been attacked by some guy walking home from the bus stop a few years ago, when I was still living at home but working, and how I fought him off, but how he still managed to hurt me a lot, leaving his hand prints on my neck, that sort of thing. As I was telling him what the guy looked like, that he was tall, with dark wavy hair, rectangular shaped glasses, etc., I realized that he was tall, had dark wavy hair and rectangular shaped glasses. By now this guy had become very still, looked very uncomfortable and ill, and was looking at me intently and it occurred to me that this could very well be the guy who had attacked me. I said that I needed the bathroom, but in reality I went to the back and spoke to the owner of the restaurant who knew me and had him call me a taxi. Luckily I never heard from this guy again.
