Seems people are forgetting that you have to know how to ride when you throw a leg over a two-stroke. When you hop from a 4T to a 2T, yes, you will experience "bottom end loss." But what makes two strokes great, especially two stroke riders is that they have to actually RIDE the bike. You've gotta know your bike, where the power band sits, and how to keep the engine at a steady RPM to keep it screaming. Once you've got it dialed in and realize how much of a supreme experience it is to throw a two-smoker around...you'll never want another 450 again...well, that is; if you aren't lazy ;)
He was not able to race due to his shoulder being very sore from the crash practicing the Tuesday before the race. He got last because he did not start.
i personaly would like to see JG race a 2 stroke instead of a 4 stroke it would make me happy to see someone having fun on a two stroke and bringing dirt bike racing back to its roots
Too bad Josh Grant is always hurt, JGR was a good team for him. He is fast outdoors, not so much in supercross. Still I enjoy watching him ride..............
LOVE that sound! Cody would look good if he road it for an hour. Guys are spolied now on the long draw of the 4 bangers. Of course...Cody anit payin to rebuild his 450!!! I had to and it was the last one I bought! BBRRAAAAPPP!
@hernandezMX10 ok, 4 strokes are more suited to the incompetent rider as they are so easy to ride you dont need to work the bike that hard where as the 2 stroke you need to be constantly up and down the box working the bike to get its full potential and if they are for girls i take it travis pastrana is one since he prefers the 2 stoke
My 1991 cr500 puts 56 hp STOCK. with the FMF pipe and silencer its about 60 hp. If you cant feel the power on a two stroke then ur riding it wrong. Like Grant said, keep it pinned.
@den2531 well seeing as your asking this question i'm going to go on a limb here and guess your not a big rider, if you grew up riding bikes and started with 2 strokes its definitely better to run a 125, easy and cheap rebuilds just not a bike for everyone to race. but the 250f is 100% more easier to race constant power dont gotta clutch alot for corners, but if you kill a 250f its gunna make your pocket sore
i think they should make a yz500 cause im 12 and i ride a raced out yz250 ive done every thing i can do to get more speed out of it fmf pipie v force reeds and a 270 bigbore kit and high comprsion rings in it and still dosent have enofe power for me
@m1n7y i dont really care which kind of bike is better... i prefer to ride a 450f than a 250s both bike are aswome if you know how to ride them... i know how to ride them both i just dont like 2 strokes no big deal
it just seems that every generation is getting lazier. they want it eiser and soon there is no challenge to it anymore. Yes the 4 strokes are alot esier to ride, expecialy on a tight track, but it takes the fun out of the challenge, and WTF? electric starter on dirt bikes. When i was a kid playing a video game and you died, you started all over from the begining, now it's like infinant guy's and dieing is only a minor set back. but i will say that nothing beats the sound of a fine tuned 2 STROKE
I hate listening to them talk about the 2-stroke powerband. "oh theres no low end blah blah" what you rode 4-stroke your entire life? Gotta be kidding me
its because the 2 stroke has no engine brake.....so your corner speed is alot faster and thats where all the time is made up. i have a 09 kawi 450 and a 04 rm 250 and my lap times are faster on the 250. but the 4 strokes are so much easier to ride, makes people lazy
i dont get what josh is talkin about. i guess if he hadnt ridden it in a while then he would have a hard time transitioning. but i race a 125, 250 2stroke, and a 450 all in one day... six motos and its not that hard to transition...?

Separates the men from the boys.
Last whip was insane and the sound of that two stroke on the whoops
watching someone ride a 2 stroke is so much more exciting in my opinion
I love Josh Grant! He's not a top 3 rider week in and out, but he's fast, got great style and a super chill dude.
He was not able to race due to his shoulder being very sore from the crash practicing the Tuesday before the race. He got last because he did not start.
the echo from the 2 stroke is unreal, makes me wanna go riding now!
i personaly would like to see JG race a 2 stroke instead of a 4 stroke it would make me happy to see someone having fun on a two stroke and bringing dirt bike racing back to its roots

josh grant can whip that 2 stroke pretty good, must be because its so light, haha, BRAAAP, 2 stroke for life
I agree with MRGOAT a 2 stroke only supercross would be SWEET!
Too bad Josh Grant is always hurt, JGR was a good team for him. He is fast outdoors, not so much in supercross. Still I enjoy watching him ride..............
wow that bike at the start sounds sooo crispy lol :)
two strokes sound so sweet in the whoops
it would be awsome to see 1 supercross race this year where it was only 2 strokes that would be cool

hes practicing , hes gonna enter x games best whip contest
LOVE that sound! Cody would look good if he road it for an hour. Guys are spolied now on the long draw of the 4 bangers. Of course...Cody anit payin to rebuild his 450!!! I had to and it was the last one I bought! BBRRAAAAPPP!

My 1991 cr500 puts 56 hp STOCK. with the FMF pipe and silencer its about 60 hp. If you cant feel the power on a two stroke then ur riding it wrong. Like Grant said, keep it pinned.
yes
Love the bike?
i love 2stroke im keeping my cr125 forget a 4stroke
u ever ridden a stroke hernandezmx10?
@den2531 well seeing as your asking this question i'm going to go on a limb here and guess your not a big rider, if you grew up riding bikes and started with 2 strokes its definitely better to run a 125, easy and cheap rebuilds just not a bike for everyone to race. but the 250f is 100% more easier to race constant power dont gotta clutch alot for corners, but if you kill a 250f its gunna make your pocket sore
I'm thinking of doing the same thing
Grant makes coops look like a slug on that heavy and slow four stroke...
well said
@Katoom144sx ...actually you do
things sounds tuff
fmf or procircuit?
i think they should make a yz500 cause im 12 and i ride a raced out yz250 ive done every thing i can do to get more speed out of it fmf pipie v force reeds and a 270 bigbore kit and high comprsion rings in it and still dosent have enofe power for me
Why do people put their hand in front of the exhaust? 1:20.

cody is my brother and sisters cousin, not mine as we have different dads but yeah, he's a good kant, can make a sound like a tasmanian devil lol :D
The 4 stroke sounds ridiculous when there's a 2 stroke on the same track
I have those pants Cody has on lol
because 2 strokes rulesss !!! ahuahauhaua
heavy D does it dirty
black kid at the end goes hard
heavy d cant talk too good, but he can whip purdy nice
He rode a 2 stroke for the best whip contest because its lighter
@BAYAREAMX if the 450 is so slow why dose every one ride them hhmmm
sucks he came in dead last in saturdays race right behind reed. i would like to see grant do good, if not win this season
Why is there a 4-stroke on a 2-stroke ride day??? haha
@m1n7y i dont really care which kind of bike is better... i prefer to ride a 450f than a 250s both bike are aswome if you know how to ride them... i know how to ride them both i just dont like 2 strokes no big deal
...tank's for no music...
2 stroke is music
@hOnDaRaCeRr
he sure is. (:

to warm it up
Mods are*
@mluman83 HAHAHAA awesome
@m1n7y i dont ride 2 strokes....those are for girls
the only thing wrong with this vid is the dirty 4 stroke sound in the background !!
Heavy D has a dirty whip!
@pcyz250 i kno what u mean. 4 strokes are so predictable, there no where near as exciting to watch. especially when that someone is pro :D
its because the 2 stroke has no engine brake.....so your corner speed is alot faster and thats where all the time is made up. i have a 09 kawi 450 and a 04 rm 250 and my lap times are faster on the 250. but the 4 strokes are so much easier to ride, makes people lazy

i know that, his a good rider but he cant ride the yz 250 like stewart was on the ride with the fan day, now let me get back to finish this video lol
If you want bottom end get a 500.
i underestimated heavy D lmao
bang*
Heavy d go away
lolllll
im gonna make me 60 dolla
it shouldnt be that hard. just get the people that run the 2 stroke nationals to run supercross.
we meet again overused comment .........
Who was the young heavy D? did he race? Where is he now?
If there was no bottom end how would clear any jumps out of corners nobody makes any sense way they say that shit
Pisses me off
Got no bottom end this that the other
Jg with the regulations 250 vs 250 you would of taken the the 2 stroke over a 250f
All day
