I can still remember going to the stadium as a kid with my dad for supercross in the 2stroke days. They kept the roof shut during practice and walking in to the smoke and the smell and the sound was incredible! Was 20 years ago and I'll never forget it
Woah! That shiny new Suzuki sounds precisely like a late-70s Husqvarna at idle revs. That's interesting, because the Huskies always had a very unique sound to them. Once he got it moving along the track, you start to get that "modern" two-stroke sound, the sort of rattly-echo of the silencer. Makes me wish it were summer in Oregon again so I could get the gas on with my good ol' 250 Husky. I would really love to see Ricky take the bars of a 500cc-class two-stroke from the glory days.
Stewart is my fav. ridder (I'm not trollin), and Ricky is my second fav. Carmichael is a down to earth guy... he's one of those guys that no matter how much money he's ever made or how famous he's gotten.. he's never forgotten about where he came from and isn't a jerk
this guy is livin the life man. still rides his 250t for fun, has two tracks, that his dad waters for him whenever he wants to ride. i cant imagine what else id like to be doin when im 29. including the part about racing trucks.
Hey Ricky, my eighteen month old son Julian loves watching you ride in this video! He takes us over to the computer and says "Ricky" until we put it on for him. He watches you with elbows up and wrists turning and the look on his face is priceless! Thanks for bringing so much joy to our little man! Hope you're having a ball! Helen (Melb, Aust)
Carmichael was a hero to millions of us, and millions wish he would take up the mantle of the stroker king again. Someone will do it, he will have the single largest group of fans gathered, ever! How can we let this great engine go the way of the Dodo bird? We need to fight the good fight and support the stroker on all fronts. Support the companys that fight, like ours, race/ride/buy them whenever possible and sign the web petition that will allow them to compete fairly in MX and SX.
I gotta meet him about 10 years ago, The manager or whoever was like get outa here we dont have time for fans messin around then Ricky said no NO let him come up here so he signed me an autograph and let me take a few pics of him,He even posed a smile for the camera lol. Great guy and my favorite rider !
