When I press Shift - Ctrl - B and select difference my mesh becomes apart of the model itself, i'm not sure what im doing wrong. Do you know why this might be happening?
Also at 1:44 you select 'face' i only have 'face project' i'm not sure if its because of a different version of blender. Thanks!
When I get to pressing shift + Control + B, I select difference, but the entire thing disappears. Any ideas on what im doing inaccurately?
sometimes blender is weird and you have to readjust the mesh you create a little bit to cut your object out. I’ve had that happen a few times. sometimes it’s just a matter of shifting it slightly

Has anything changed in the year from when this was posted? I cant get past the snap to face part. Nothing happens. Any help would be amazing
Hey! How did you cut out some of the back panels without going through the whole armor? as well as keeping the texture? (the holes in that back vent piece) I am building a Mark 7 and a vid on this could really help.
I actually cut through the entire armor and then designed those back vent pieces separately! theyre meant to be separated panels actually. I could try to make a video about modeling detail pieces like that but I’m filming like 4 videos at once right now so I can’t guarantee it’ll be up very soon

When I click f then a to make the whole mesh connected and I go to click e it doesn't act as a solid object. It's more of a outline on my end :(. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
you have to select it all with a and THEN hit f. the first time you hit f is just to close the outline
