I really love and appreciate how all of your videos are primarily focused on the tutorial. No fillers no extras just your beautiful craftsmanship! Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us!
Este diseño es hermoso.... tienes mucha creatividad y aunque en Lima Perú es difícil conseguir arcilla polimérica, definitivamente voy a hacer mi propia versión de este modelo..... gracias mil !!
I'm so happy I found your tutorials. Getting a little tired of watching a certain channel dominate. You speak really well and explain things perfectly. Subscribed and eagerly watching for more.
This is my second time watching this tutorial after coming from your oyster watercolor leftover video. You achieved beautiful results with this technique and I think it's brilliant that you used the plastic end of your small cutters. Never thought of that! Bravo, Team Jessama!
What a gorgeous technique! So subtle, shimmery, underwatery... Reminds me of summer on Cape Cod and makes me want to start making beach-themed jewelry *now* (in the dead of winter here in Northeast USA)! Thank you so much for yet another well-done, inspiring video! You are so talented!!
This technique is so beautiful and organic looking! I agree that it looks like oyster shell or abalone. Thank you for sharing and for being so meticulous in your tutorials. They are so enjoyable!
I am just getting interested in polymer clay creations, getting alll the 'ingredients' clays, oven rollers etc. Can i ask a question please? Could i have saved a lot of money by just purchasing white and translucent clays 6:42 and alchol inks to mix my own colours? Its never occurred to me until now. Thank you for all your videos. I have watched many of them but have decided to go back to your early ones to pick up more tips. Take care and thank you for your time 🤗🇬🇧
Hi. I'm glad to hear that. I have a getting started with polymer clay course here for free. ruclips.net/video/hvB1PrhzmV0/видео.html It goes over everything, including what colors to start with. I'd buy the clay colors. The amount of ink it would take to color the clay would add up to more than the colors themselves.
Beautiful as always! I love the way you explain in detail all the steps, starting with list of supplies, colors and brands, pasta machine settings and directions. Thanks once again for sharing your beautiful talent! 😊
It's absolutely beautiful Samantha! a query though about the Micro Circle Cutters... I checked Happy Things..but their shipping to the United States is sooo much!......is there anywhere else I can get the same set with lesser shipping, and also if you can plz tell me the sizes of the cutters in the set. Thanks!
I sell mini cutters on my shop now. www.etsy.com/au/shop/JessamaDesign?ref=l2-shopheader-name§ion_id=24263483 The shipping is Flat Rate so you can put as much as you want in your cart and the shipping won't go up.
I'm not sure. You could test them though. Just take a piece of scrap clay and cut out three tiles from it. One of the tiles you bake. Now take all the tiles and place the fabric ink on them. One you leave raw, the other raw one you bake like normal, the baked one you also bake about. Leave these for about four months and if you don't see any problems, they are compatible with the clay.
Any acrylic paint should work really well. Oil based paints are the only ones that tend to cause trouble. A rolling pin will also work instead of a pasta machine.
this is really pretty. could you please show us some ideas of what to do with things like this, and with beads after they are baked. I have creative blocks when it comes to finishing a bead I've made. or after I do a sheet like this lol. I think that's why I love my mini food. ;)
Thank you. I like to use polishing papers to sand and then use a dremel and Renaissance wax to buff. I get the polishing papers from here. www.firemountaingems.com/search/?keywords=polishing+papers
I've been following your tutorials, and wonder what you made with this technique. I love it, and have made several veneers in different colorways with it. I have figured out I want to make a series of collar necklaces and bracelets.... just wonder what you would make with it. Thanks again for showing us another great technique!! 👏👏😄
Hi, I tried to purchase the tiny cutters from Happy Things but they do not ship to the US. Do you know of any other place that I can get these tiny wonderful cutters? Thank you.
You can buy them on etsy. Here's a link to one. www.etsy.com/au/listing/494188949/mini-cutters-polymer-clay-tool-dot-tool?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=small%20circle%20cutters&ref=sr_gallery-1-1
Very nice piece. Beautiful. Could I see it from start to finish. How do you make them into jewelry, necklaces and earrings and such??? I am not very creative so I need a good start. Thank you
I used this technique in these two tutorials ruclips.net/video/FudkouEUINc/видео.html www.etsy.com/au/listing/564863969/rain-drops-and-oyster-shells-necklace?ref=shop_home_active_13
You do such beautiful work and have great ideas! I just want to thank you for all of your easy to follow step-by-step tutorials! I just started working with polymer clay and thanks to your great videos I'm learning so much and having a lot of fun!
You are one clever young lady how long have you been doing this for? Do you do this full time? Do you live at home with parents or are you married? Any way love your work from down under Ozz.
I'm around 18 and a half years old. I do this full time and have been working with the clay for around 8 years now. I'm living at home with my parents as we work on the business together.
I've change my pasta machine since this video and so the settings have changed. With this pasta machine the thinnest setting was a 1 and the thickest a 9.
Merci beaucoup pour ce tutoriel j'adore , j'ai passé la pâte à la machine ne parlant pas anglais je ne sais à quel cran tu les passes j'ai une atlas le zéro etant le plus fin ..
To start you’ll need to condition and roll your clay to the following thicknesses: Black - middle pasta machine setting.White - middle pasta machine setting.Pearl White - second thinnest pasta machine setting.Translucent - thinnest pasta machine setting. To start you’ll need to condition and roll your clay to the following thicknesses: Black - 5 pasta machine setting.White - 5 pasta machine setting.Pearl White - 1 pasta machine setting.Translucent - 0 pasta machine setting. I hope this helps.
you know... mine never turn out like any of the videos I watch. I never get that white from underneath to come through and my colors always spread a LOT bigger than they start.
Are you pinching the edges of the circles before rolling flat? It's important to pinch the edges so that the colors underneath almost curl up over the top color. Maybe when you're putting your colors on top of you sheet, your sheet isn't thin enough to start with?
Love your take on the watercolor technique! I can't wait to add some metal leaf to see how it impacts the design! I think interference powders would also add an amazing dimension to this! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
I really love and appreciate how all of your videos are primarily focused on the tutorial. No fillers no extras just your beautiful craftsmanship! Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us!
Took my breath away when you brought the finished tile up to the camera! Just beautiful!

It really does remind me of Cape Cod! I understand Northeast winters, live in NH
You are the polymer clay queen of fiddly bits. Love the end results.
Wow! I’m so inspired to add polymer designs to my bag of tricks. Such beautiful work! Thank you

Oh my gosh, this is such a cool technique! I have never seen anything quite like it! Thanks for sharing. 💜💜💜
i love this...can you use fabric inks if you have no alcohol inks?
I'm not sure. You could test them though.
Just take a piece of scrap clay and cut out three tiles from it. One of the tiles you bake.
Now take all the tiles and place the fabric ink on them. One you leave raw, the other raw one you bake like normal, the baked one you also bake about.

Can you use real watercolors? Gouche? And a rolling pin instead of the pasta machine?
Any acrylic paint should work really well. Oil based paints are the only ones that tend to cause trouble. A rolling pin will also work instead of a pasta machine.

Yes I do plan to show a project with this technique.
I can't do too many project tutorials on youtube though as they take a lot of time and effort and I'm really busy so I can only do one a month or so.
I really like your tutorials, very easy to listen and follow you. I was wondering what you use to polish and buff your pieces with?
Thank you. I like to use polishing papers to sand and then use a dremel and Renaissance wax to buff.

Do you think alcohol markers would work the same for making the color marks in the clay?
They could. Paint, eye shadow or pastels would work too.
@@JessamaTutorials Thank you!
You are a wonderful teacher .
I love this! Looks three dimensional!
You do such beautiful work and have great ideas! I just want to thank you for all of your easy to follow step-by-step tutorials! I just started working with polymer clay and thanks to your great videos I'm learning so much and having a lot of fun!

Very cool technique!
This is stunning
looks like 3D, nice tutorial. love to watch you tutor very easy to follow.....Thank you
A bit confused…so 2 is the second thinnest setting?
It depends on the pasta machine. The thickest setting on my pasta machine is a 1 and is 2.5mm thick. My thinnest is an 8 and is 0.5mm thick.
I've change my pasta machine since this video and so the settings have changed.
With this pasta machine the thinnest setting was a 1 and the thickest a 9.
Excellent Samantha, I love it!
