This isn't necessarily true. If someone asks you directions in broken English, you know they don't speak the language, so you answer with simple words and gestures so they will understand (maybe, at least a little bit.)

Only way to learn Korean is by sound as tone is important. People are polite but not friendly so basics is fine. If they dont know you they wont just chat in the street even if they can speak English. Social eating/drinking is the best way to spend time in Korea to experience the culture.

Oh wow, this video is so useful! Your pronunciation of Korean sounds so clear and showing the hangeul underneath is really helpful! I listened to various other Learn Korean audio guides but I find the pronunciation is really hard to hear the words distinctly and they sometimes sound very different to one another between different speakers and its confusing which one is the proper sound. But this is very clear! Thank you!

I'm learning Korean just for the mental stimulation and I very much enjoy it even though it's really hard. My English speaking brain and mouth have a hard time with the proper pronunciation because I have no one to speak it with. So when I watch Korean shows or listen to music I get so happy when I recognise words and Jus 'Know' what it means without even thinking. So when you're saying most of the phrases in here I know it's polite speech. Makes me so happy to be learning a new language!

No, it doesn't sound natural if you constantly end sentences with ㅂ니다 when talking to strangers. There are some words you almost always use that when talking to strangers though, and that is in the case of 감사합니다 or 죄송합니다.
For asking directions and other general stuff you would just end with 요.
Instead of ㅂ니다, we combine 요 with (으)세요 grammar to sound more polite in some sentences.

What a useful video! I think Korean is such a pretty sounding language.
@itsjinakim I wanted to give you a pronunciation tip. I hope that is ok. I actually love your Korean accent in your English, and you speak English AMAZINGLY well, but I thought you might want to pronounce "language" a little more authentically. I will try to spell the missing (ㅜ) sound with Korean. Don't laugh too much.
란구아즈, Or to spell it phonetically in English it would be "lan gwaj"
For some reason, I have wanted to learn Korean. I will never be able to visit the country, but I still wanted to learn about it. Your videos have been a good balance to the many dramas I have watched to help with the language. I'm glad you introduced Mikole too, he is SO cool! A good balance to your Korean viewpoint and your personalities blend so nicely!
Here is a suggestion for a video. I'm an OLD lady (60) in a wheelchair because my legs have been amputated above the knee. There are many types of handicaps besides being in a wheelchair such as visual and hearing handicaps, but can you do a video on the accessibility issues in Korea? This would not be for me as I have many other issues including financial and digestive, but there are plenty of young people with only mobility issues who may who Korean culture. :)
Keep up the good work you are very talented (and adorable)!
