"Listening to Hania's music over and over, I began to dream of a single sequence shot that would follow her music floating in the wind of an unreal Icelandic landscape. I asked each dancer to give a personal interpretation of Hania's song. A piece for solo piano, 'F Major' unravels yet further nuances of the instrument's intricate nature and offers more glimpses into Hania's sonic imagination. It was created in August 2019, while she was composing music for a film: ”one hot summer evening, as I sat at the piano, this melody appeared under my fingers out of the blue” - @Hania Rani

Camera seems to have been on a stabilizer, unfortunately (one of those that automatically handles the rotation unfortunately => Not always smooth). But still, very good rendering overall !

I have bought the CD today... not on the Internet. In a music shop. I heard the song on the radio and I had to have a CD. I put it on in my car, went to pick up my dad. He stayed in the car while I was doing the shopping. While leaving he asked me where is this music from? That is not the radio, right? - No, that is a CD. - Oh, ok. It made me so relaxed. As if it calmed my mind. - Yes, I know dad, that is why I bought it. (No one has ever paid attention to music in my car). It is mesmerizing. Thank you.

Shot at Stokksnes beach, in Iceland. Been there in 2019, the sand is pitch black and the scenery is breathtaking. This music fits so perfectly with the place, the whole mood of this video is captivating.

I shed a tear every time the last dancer twirls out of frame, something about the the natural simplicity of it, while we're left beholden to the vast mountainside presented before us, in awe and utter bewilderment.

Yesterday we were on concert of Hania Rani in Katowice. I might say that I never felt better afterwards. This was a spiritual experience, a meditation, shaman spirit.... I was imaging mountains, dance of leaves, I felt feedom and a lot of space in my mind in my head. This gilr is a superhuman. I am lucky to had a chance to visit her and touch her interpretation of devine.
The time of the day enhances the color of the piano and the colors of the clothes which I'm sure were picked exactly for that. The scenery is incredible and I am positive it has something to do with what the three discographies symbolize. And yes! That shot at 4:02! That is magnificently planned and taken. This video is perfection! Hania will soon be commercially appreciated, unfortunately
I don't really get why people think it's a bad thing when artists are commercially appreciated since it actually helps them spread their work and make a living. Besides, this kind of music will most likely not come to have a greater mainstream visibility (no vocals, comparably unconventional structure etc.). Apart from that I think you're perfectly right :)
the camera man and director of the video deserves an award ... we as women should be proud of these artistic ladies , beautiful and simple ... kudos to you ladies... you made a masterpiece!

This is amazing. I looked up Hania from hearing her music on a Netflix show we compose for. When her piece came on, it was so next level. Made us realize how much we'd like to improve. She is so inspiring! Love how organic and fluid her compositions and playing feel plus the warm mixes on everything. Supreme talent and feel and sonic results!

Il do my best to write down my thoughts. It's taking some time for me to realize after seeing the dancers create some of the most incredible connection with Ania's music. I started to see something that only happened from hearing her music. This piece never failed to pull some deep seared emotions out of my soul. I had to play it over an over more than a few times for it to sink in. I knew I was getting a way different vibe this time after the first. I watched her live on a public radio show a couple times but I had to look this video up. It's been awhile since I last seen it. I knew after the very first time I watched this video the amount of power it had. But now I was really pulled into the very intense body movements of the dancers. I started to feel a different vibe than what I was getting from hearing the music. I started to see what the music was doing to me . I could see each dancer trying their hardest to pull the most deepest emotions out of me
I apologize for not being able to explain myself more clearing. At 57 I have a very hard time just trying to communicate to others I've only put myself further out of sight an out of touch with most of who I know. 👽

I think with music when one creates a piece and then plays it, then the song is always a part of them, and always remembered as one remembers to breathe. But I as an artist, I create a sketch or painting, it evolves into its one identity as it unfolds onto paper, board, canvas, wood, etc. Then when I’m finished with the work of art it is born into its own existence with its own identity. It is still always a part of me, because it blossomed from my soul, spirit, mind, emotions, fingertips, and yet it is it’s own with a persona which it has made for itself, each person who sees it now interacts with it in a way that is independent of my presence.
Possibly one of the most beautiful opening wide shots to music i have had the pleasure of seeing.And indeed piece itself is beautiful in every way.

Yep but 'Everything..' is nicked from a ton of examples of classical music, particularly Romantic/20th century music. It is just c major into c phrygian - great to see others using it, it's horrendously underused outside of classical Spanish guitar etc

Pis ce poème n'est pas très gai : on a besoin de joie et de beauté en ce moment, même si je trouve que la tristesse nous rappelle à notre humanité, c'est une magnifique émotion. Aussi, au moment du confinement, au plus fort de l'épidémie, j'avais entendu comment mourraient les personnes - en Chine - seules, leur famille ne pouvant les approcher, pour qu'elles soient ensuite incinérées. Cela m'avait profondément touché, je sentais qu'une part de notre humanité avait été touchée. Ces notes de piano qui s'envolent vers l'éternel, m'ont fait penser à des âmes qui montent au Ciel. What an extraordinary and mesmerizing combination of sound and movement, performed in a stunning landscape. I was particularly struck by the way each dancers performance was influenced by the strong wind blowing across the sand ..... simply beautiful.
