It cost me $42 and that is unsustainable. People are tapped out. COLA is only going to rise 2.4% and that means those on SSA and SSI will not receive enough to match inflation.

You can make a big Mac style burrito for pennies compared to a big Mac. Brown ground beef with diced onion salt pepper. Place mixture on a flour tortilla place thousand Island dressing and shredded lettuce on meat mixture. Fold the ends in and roll up the tortilla. Place in buttered skillet brown on one side then turn and brown on the other. Very good and much cheaper than a big Mac

Used to be a decent occasional meal. Now its so expensive, i can go to a thai restaurant for a lunch special thats ten times better food.

Consumers are spending less money? How odd. Advance retail sales are up year over year and overall consumer spending is WAY UP year over year. We are going to have to see an ACTUAL reduction in consumer spending before any of this becomes true.

@@timeverson728 True, but remember that the new household spending was due to over $500 billion in extra government debt. That debt translates to inflation from pure consumption, not economic growth. It's a temporary impulse that burns out, just like any other stimulus.
