I'm not an adjuster or an agent nor an attorney but clearly, It's called dishonest and unfair business practices and tactics and probably because they realize that they will have to deem the RV as being totally unrepairable and grant you guys with a New RV. That part. Plus all of your out of pocket cost and losses and other damages made. So, obviously they are stalling on it. I wish you all the best I believe by faith it's going to work out even if, you have to take them to court. And then all of your pain and suffering from the heat exhaustion and inconvenience will be factor in the court decision. I am not a commenter, but this cause me to cry with you. You are in the right! I know those tears, disappointment, hurt, anger. I echo the previous sentiments of others who empathize and sympathize with you all. Right now you may need to be still and fast from media and just draw close to God, Donald and DJ. The not being the best version of you is understandable, may God’s amazing grace be imparted to you as you handle this, because you may have to comfort someone else at another time, our stories aren’t just for us. Truly, praying you sit tight, and let God be God! In the meantime, trust Him, don’t waver in your faith and take every negative thought captive. Pegi, be still in the Lord, try your hardest to let it go and then tell the Lord, you are waiting and stand on every promise of His. He is faithful and you have receipts to prove it, count those blessings back when those thoughts want to overwhelm you and try to cause you to not elevate in your faith, the enemy is no match for God, be careful to not block the blessings He is working out for your good! My sister works for an insurance company and she said for you to keep ALL your receipts for everything pertaining to this incident, I.e., food, hotel stays, etc. She also suggested you guys lawyer up and let your attorney deal with the insurance company. It sounds as though they are being negligent and trying to pin the lightening strike on something else. My prayers are with you, Don and of course, little DJ. 🙏🏽

Insurance companies are totally strapped with claims for losses due to floods, hurricanes, wildfires, etc. You want an accurate assessment from an adjuster, so that your claim(s) will align towards being made whole after losses. I am praising God for His mercy and hand of protection on your lives and praying for fairness in restoration.
I don't comment very much on your vlogs, but I watch your videos all the time - here and on Gone with the Windleys and I pray that you feel in your spirit the love and concern that is surrounding you, Don & DJ. I cried with you as you were telling how the devil is trying to still your joy because we've all been there at one time or another in a spot so low we wonder how we'll come out of it. But we do because we have a loving and caring God. Y'all have blessed us many times with your stories and now it's your turn to be blessed by those around you. Never refuse a blessing that comes your way as God has put it on other's hearts to help when they can. Good morning y’all, we were praying about the whole situation again this morning and I totally agree with one commenter, it’s time to call the local news reporters about this. Stay vigilant bcse who pays for ins and when things happen, it’s no good! Make that make sense. People are greedy and heartless but it will all come back to them one way or another. Exhaust every means and don’t let them exhaust you guys, call the news reporters and they will look into it. Notify the Ins commissioners if that will do any good, I was just told they approve price hikes across the board for automobile insurance. It’s crazy in this state and country period. At-least the reporters “will” get the ball rolling & prayerfully get the results you deserve without any negative backlash regarding your future ins, repairs OR your new RV, Truck & replacement of items you lost. Continuing in prayer & looking for a humanized, integral, professional, compassionate, expeditious, victorious outcome in it all. 🙏🏽

I can't begin to imagine what y'all are going through, again, so so sorry. We have been RV'ers for 57 years (not full time) so know how vulnerable we are to the elements. We are in NC but if we were there would sure open our home to some home cooked meals for y'all. Will hope you get the much needed relief and restitution soon. Insurance is such BS, it's horrible. Out of almost 9 years of paying monthly Insurance premiums as we all must do. I hadn't needed my Insurance in this time yet I felt safe. When I went to my Insurance this year after a family did damage to my property they basically gave me the runaround for what felt like 4ever. And I got the big FU pretty much & was given less than what my Insurance cost for just 1 yr. Insurance is the biggest scam going. Good luck. I pray u make out better than I. God Bless.

I just went through a car accident and the insurance company gave me the run around and then did want to pay for it to get fixed and I ended with nothing and I have to now as a single mom with 4 girls have to start all over with nothing to start with. You question yourself, like why am I paying insurance for them not to help when I need it, and that’s with health insurance as well. This was hard. It took me two days to watch it. I love how you said, basically the insurance company has no problem getting paid. But when you need their help. Basically they don’t care. I am so sorry for the frustration. I hate this is happening. Especially in the summer. They have one job to do. That’s it. One job you are paying for them to do. I will say. I thank the Lord none of you were hurt or worse. You are here to tell your story. Next try and breathe. I am sure that is not easy. God has heard every conversation with them. So try not to go hood on these people. You do your part and let Him do His. Vengeance is His. He has a blessing. Sometimes what looks like our worst day or season. Good morning y’all, we were praying about the whole situation again this morning and I totally agree with one commenter, it’s time to call the local news reporters about this. Stay vigilant bcse who pays for ins and when things happen, it’s no good! Make that make sense. People are greedy and heartless but it will all come back to them one way or another. Exhaust every means and don’t let them exhaust you guys, call the news reporters and they will look into it. Notify the Ins commissioners if that will do any good, I was just told they approve price hikes across the board for automobile insurance. It’s crazy in this state and country period. At-least the reporters “will” get the ball rolling & prayerfully get the results you deserve without any negative backlash regarding your future ins, repairs OR your new RV, Truck & replacement of items you lost. Continuing in prayer & looking for a humanized, integral, professional, compassionate, expeditious, victorious outcome in it all. 🙏🏽
I am so, so sorry y'all are being given such a run around by the insurance company. That's why we pay and pay for years so the one time we really need it - it will come through for us. I can't begin to imagine what y'all are going through, again, so so sorry.
We have been RV'ers for 57 years (not full time) so know how vulnerable we are to the elements. We are in NC but if we were there would sure open our home to some home cooked meals for y'all. Will hope you get the much needed relief and restitution soon.

Insurance is such BS, it's horrible. Out of almost 9 years of paying monthly Insurance premiums as we all must do. I hadn't needed my Insurance in this time yet I felt safe. When I went to my Insurance this year after a family did damage to my property they basically gave me the runaround for what felt like 4ever. And I got the big FU pretty much & was given less than what my Insurance cost for just 1 yr. Insurance is the biggest scam going. Good luck. I pray u make out better than I. God Bless.

I just went through a car accident and the insurance company gave me the run around and then did want to pay for it to get fixed and I ended with nothing and I have to now as a single mom with 4 girls have to start all over with nothing to start with. You question yourself, like why am I paying insurance for them not to help when I need it, and that’s with health insurance as well. My husband and have just recently started watching you and your husband and we watch this video and the other about the lighting strike and just wanted to give you some inspiration I too I am through something my grandson and I just tested positive for Covid and my birthday is tomorrow and my youngest and only granddaughter’s my little partner first day of preschool is today and I will be isolated for both I am feeling emotionally drained like you but I am here to say that even though you are in the storm like me you will see the sunshine again so don’t give up this too will pass. This was hard. It took me two days to watch it. I love how you said, basically the insurance company has no problem getting paid. But when you need their help. Basically they don’t care. I am so sorry for the frustration. I hate this is happening. Especially in the summer. They have one job to do. That’s it. One job you are paying for them to do. I will say. I thank the Lord none of you were hurt or worse. You are here to tell your story. Next try and breathe. I am sure that is not easy. God has heard every conversation with them. So try not to go hood on these people. You do your part and let Him do His. Vengeance is His. He has a blessing. Sometimes what looks like our worst day or season. Is really a storm making way for the next. Removing dead branches so healthier ones can grow. So trust Him. He has the three of you. He will provide. He is the source of your finance, patience, peace, strength, and self control. Lean on the Holy Spirit right now. Let Him guide you with the the wisdom and knowledge you need to end this nightmare. I am praying for this thing to turn around this week and His supernatural peace to descend upon you.
