@alpaljl Certainly: Lexan 1: the first version, used from about 1965 till 1972. This introduces the original lexan button, a black plunger-style push button with a clear, orange-lihting halo. The older Otis black pushbuttons are used for door and emergency controls. Lexan II: The Lexan pushbutton is now given to all controls. The button itself remains unchanged. Lexan III: The Lexan button is changed to be much wider. The black plunger is replaced with a clear one, and the halo thicker.
Nice find! I rode an elevator like this a couple of months ago in Salt Lake City. Is "Lexan III" an official name for these buttons, or is it just a designator you came up with to distinguish them from other versions of Otis Lexan buttons?

@revo8778 Thank you very much for that description. I appreciate that.

@skidv25 It's my description of them, as there are three distinct versions of lexan.
@revo8778 Could you do some describing on that when you get the chance?
@revo8778 What exactly are the other two versions?
Sounds tired :(
