I’m absolutely getting this game. After playing Destiny for 9 years I’m pretty much done until D3 or whatever comes after.

Destiny: In-air accuracy should be terrible.

Seems pretty cool! Never really been able to play Bethesda games since they give me some gnarly headaches (movement animations seem way off to me) but I’d be interested in seeing you put out some content on this game for sure
Despite the speculation, this was a nice breakdown of what looks to be available in the game. Looking forward to some more of your analysis of the huge info dump that was the deep dive. Specially the modular ship design, something I'd hazard to guess you've not really had a lot of experience with in previous game.

@@camper5579why tho? It has stuff that No Man's Sky never even promised. Its a single player BGS game so its a full on RPG, not a space sim like NMS. Have you never played Skyrim or Fallout 4?
OMG I was so happy to see "Long Hauler" background in character creation. That's my roleplay. Bearded trucker and smuggler with a huge revolver, covering my stealth operations with transportation services. Can't wait🤪

@truevanguard - I haven’t seen anyone point out the fact that there hasn’t been any loot shown being obtained for armor or guns. How do we obtain this armor? Will it be through boss fights, caves, dungeons etc.? The game looks cool but what about the loot?
If it follows the same rules as every other Bethesda game, then you can loot it off enemies, craft it, find it, or obtain it as a quest reward.

I am a little bummed about the 30 FPS. It's 2023, I feel like 60 should be the baseline. I'd be happy to have a 1440p mode that hit 60.
If its fallout in space ill love it. I dont hype up things to the stratosphere
Borderlands and skyrim vibes
Did you not actually play Skyrim or something? You could jump and sprint from launch, no mods required. Combat was super iffy, but movement was fairly standard at the time. As far as fps elements in Bethesda games, they've always been clear about that not being the focus, the focus is world building, where you can horde a giant pile of sandwiches somewhere, leave and do something else, then come back and find all your sandwiches in the same place. Where you had absolute freedom to go and do anything you wanted. Other aspects of the games took a hit for that, but generally made up for it with core rpg mechanics that generally worked well(Though not always). I'm glad to see they're improving things that have always taken a bit of a backseat, not just combat, but smoother more fluid movement as well, but saying you couldn't jump in vanilla Skyrim is just plain incorrect.
You misunderstood. I said you couldn’t sprint and jump from a dead sprint. Yes you could jump. Yes you could sprint. But you had to STOP sprinting in order to jump. And yes, I have thousands of hours in Skyrim both on pc and on console, currently have over 20 characters between them.
Fallout 4 has that same weapon swap system.
This looks sneakily like it’s been heavily influenced by destiny - the boost jump, bit of space magic, more emphasis on FPS than any other Bethesda game. Hope it’s got the looter shooter elements too, with all that customisation
This game has nothing to do with Destiny except that True Vanguard plays Destiny lol
@@zac3k33 just saying elements look influenced by it 🤷♂️ obviously game developers take influences from other titles. And the fact that so many destiny streamers are into starfield suggests there might be some similar appeal between the two games, at face value at least.
@haptic_vision2012 so many "destiny streamers" are into it bc it's a new massive game. Just like many destiny streamers are grinding Diablo 4. I didn't see a single thing during the Starfield presentation that made me think of Destiny even once
@@madmardigan3321 fair enough, I did see things I guess 😂 Also the Diablo comparisons are massive - it’s a giant looter dungeon crawler. Loads of people have pointed out it’s got massive overlap with the destiny player base.
More likely influenced by Mass Effect.

I really want a Fallout style co-op. Not sure PVP is a good idea as the lag in 76 is horrific.
It looks great! PvP would be great for this game it would seem but I don’t think it will have it unfortunately
They won’t even have CO-OP without modders creating it later. It is strictly single player on release.

Muuuuuuuch more than I was expecting from this game. It still doesn’t excuse the silly Skyrim remakes over the last 11 years, but I’m looking forward to this title.
Weirdly enough I think it does kinda excuse all those Skyrim remakes - they could release those to keep getting money to keep working on Starfield without being forced to release games at a high rate (like Ubisoft does, for example). I'm sure Starfield will see it's fair amount of rereleases and 'special editions' etc.

Wanted to like this game played it for a hour and boy is it rough. Combat is terrible I’ve seen games 10 years old with better combat and it’s not even the biggest problem the game is just boring there’s no life to it at all. It’s just one scripted event to the next there’s nothing In between you can’t explore anything in space you just fast travel everywhere honestly huge disappointment
