Evening all, adore this channel👍, After the sudden passing of my husband, and 40yrs plus of camping in every style x length of van ,lastly owning a lovely tag axle island bed kon tki,... I decided to by new the r10 solo in white ,identical to your vlog. I was determined to continue camping and used said van every weekend ,the longest being 2weeks in winter. The diesel heater was a boon ,never cold ,but kept roof shut at night . With pop down combination TV, plug in cold box, a loo,I could even strip wash if needed . Cooking was a breeze ,I had every xtra i could on the van and lived every moment . The nemo was quick, responsive, great on fuel, and gave the ahh factor when seen. Due to illness sadly after 3yrs I swapped for a second hand auto sleeper mezan, again a cracking wee van. I had to give up driving due to medical issues ,miss camping so much . But watching your great channel keeps me up to date. I haghly recommend the R10,it's what's written on the tin ,a great SOLO all rounder . Safe driving to all on here 👍
Hello there Bridget I am looking at getting a diesel heater for my R10 can you tell me where is it located in the van, what type is it and who fitted it. I know I ask a lot of questions but, I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.
Thanks for this info, I love these little vans. Glad to hear you had success with one. Sorry to hear you can no longer camp. Have you tried renting a glamping pod? They have an electric socket so you could plug an air bed in. Or even a static caravan holiday 😊
My little black R10 was my first campervan and I made lots of great memories camping with it over the 18 months or so I had it for. Yes, they're small but they're very well thought out and built. A great little van and nice to see this and bring back happy memories.
Hello there I watched the video and the guy said “not much storage “ thing is he was sitting on it, if he had lifted the top of the seat he was sitting on there is big storage underneath. However, if you install diesel heating as in the blue one some of that room would be taken up with the storage heater but still good amount of storage. The build quality of this van is second to none, the units and materials used are quality and everything fitted by professionals. Used as an everyday vehicle, a day van and or holidays from overnight to how ever long………..you just need the right accessories for your situation, for example a drive away awning for longer stays. Anyway the reason I know this is because I own one so don’t listen to people who don’t own one but make assumptions about them. You WILL NOT find a better solo van.
I used to have a Volvo 245 estate which had enough room for the TWO of us to sleep side by side. With the rear tailgate up and a canvas awning to provide the catering and toiletting facilities, it was perfect.
As a singleton, I find it frustrating there aren’t more vehicles like this that cater to solo drivers on a budget. Thanks for your reviews and helping folk like myself get some insight from the comfort of home. You didn’t mention pricing but I can guess.
Kev came up with a good idea. I could have used something like that when I was working away from home for 3 or 4 nights a week. Park it up in the corner of the office car park, breakfast and lunch in the works canteen and kip in the van after a pub meal in the evening.
Nice!! I prefer the blue one. The diesel heater would allow me to travel around the Scottish Highlands in the winter months! It's a perfect camper for me as i'm alone anyhow!! Although i did like the slightly larger Mezan in case i take a trip with company!!
I'd a 5 berth Ducato motorhome but it's dead in the water with no engine now....can't get an engine for it..... Anyway, I used it for work, so needed something ASAP to replace it. I didn't fancy another motorhome after being ket down so badly, so I bought a Peugeot Rifter. It's a 5 seater most of the time, but for work, I flatten the seats and turn it into a mini camper. My roof doesn't pop, but that's not a problem. I've a bed, toilet, cooking equipment, portable shower, portable power with solar charging, 12v compressor cooler/freezer and I'll be getting a TV for it. I black out the windows and can stealth camp in the work car park. It goes at motorway speeds and I love it. The only thing I can't do is stand up straight, but you're either sitting or lying, so it's not a problem. Then for normal camping, I've an awning and portable kitchen. It also means I only have to worry about 1 vehicle as with the motorhome I'd to tax/insure 2 vehicles. 😁
Happy birthday Kev! Another entertaining video and two interesting little vans. TBH I wouldn't mind one as a single / dual purpose vehicle (everyday, camping, fishing). Blown air heating would be a must at my age. The mystery tray is actually a draining board which sits on top of the cooker 😉
Fabulous video guys. I will be buying one as soon as I can find one, and preferably blue. Your video and the information contained in the comments below were just what I need to know. Thank you and hope you had a great birthday!!
I have a Citroen Berlingo motor caravan converted by Middlesex Motorcaravans. It is two berth. We mostly use it as a day van, but is fully equipped for an overnight stay. We also have attachable external drive away awning, on board toilet and separate portable fridge we can load if we need to. We can park in anywhere. It is small than most SUV’s and only slightly higher.
Two fabulous compact campervans. Fitted out really well, great use of space. Kev hit the nail on the head when he said ideal for fishing but has a multitude of uses. Ideal working away or One man & his dog or one woman & her dog, or even at a push could accommodate two? 👍 From me. Thanks Jason & Kevin. Have a great birthday keV 🎉🥞🎂🍺🍻🥂🍹🍽️
Very cute ideal for someone who can live in a small place. I would go for something like this if I got out of the habit of taking the kitchen sink every time I go away, I'm not a minimalist person I'm afraid. I love it tho 😘
I think the weight difference includes (as well as the negligible addition of the heater unit), all of that 'kit' (bags, awning etc.), that you had to empty out of the van, before you could get in? Because they are supplying it and expect it to be carried, they have included it as a weight issue surely? Just a thought!
great little Vans and a Happy Birthday to sidekick Kev. Did you say you was 76 Kev? thats amazing keep up the good work Jason and Kev. atb Mike SkegVegas
Would have liked to see them with pop top down. Also did I spy a window screen in pop top too? I absolutely would consider one of these for solo travel. Awesome.
I think if I had the money and after listening to you and Kevin's advice for me, my dog, my cat and my brother brother we'd be better off with a two bedroom caravan and one of those types or a vikenz for days out or traveling to our caravan
May I just say your videos are outstanding thank you very much we are looking to buy but we have two children and our son has autism so would need to be as big as possible only using car driving license as had since 2003
Happy Birthday Kev. I presume the roof can collapse down for driving? Does it have a vent in the roof with a fan for the cooking? Brilliant that it has a porta-potty! Once you get past a certain age the chances of needing a loo quickly start going up.
Would instantly comr over to buy it, but unfortunately the wheel is in the false site for Germany. I have a similar self build bed in my Honda Jazz, but I miss the high roof to sit on the bed. Great microcamper.
How does the pop-up bit work? Hand crank or electric? Lawd, there was no saving that sentence, was there? Genuine question though 🤔 Happy Birthday, Kev! 🍻🎉
I knew a guy who had a Bedford (? ) campervan who had his lunch at his desk before his lunchtime as it were then went out to the car park and had an hours kip in his Bambi in his lunch hour - O mean why not?
Morning. We have bought a van to convert to a day van. Does anyone know where we go to shop for kitchens rock and roll beds etc I cant find an actual shop to go to? Anywhere in the west country Thanks

I doubt that as the weight difference is 550kg....I think maybe they have read Net weight on one and Gross weight on the other, I find it hard to believe the blue one weighs in at 2300kg when my 4x4 van weighs 2100kg net.
Like an awning and all that stuff I like the blue one and happy birthday kev and Jason and Kevin are funny and make awesome video about Moyer homes and I wish y’all could bring that other micro camper to America that was only 12 feet and had a bathroom but no shower cause it’s only 12 feet um Nu Venture Surf that’s what it was called wish y’all could bring it here to US and I like has and kev and Jason my name starts with j too!!!!!!!!😀and about me being single😢
Actually there's a large storage area under the seat, and plenty of other space if you pack with planning, and are organised in how you use the van. I had my R10 for 18 months and toured around the UK in it. My longest trip away was 10 days.

Great review, i would take the one with the heatimg. Lol 👍 great vans

just a shame they are not ULEZ compliant. Did a 3 month tour of Spain and Italy in mine. Great littler van
Would instantly comr over to buy it, but unfortunately the wheel is in the false site for Germany. I have a similar self build bed in my Honda Jazz, but I miss the high roof to sit on the bed. Great microcamper.

Listen to those diesel engines mate honestly. Sounds like a WW2 German tank has just burst 💥 😂❤
😂
Nice vans thanks
Glad you like them! Kevin 👍
If this comes with AWD like Subaru, it will be a beast.

Nice 12 volt porta potty.

Amazing little vans do you sell them quick

Would have been nice to know pricing, engine size, mpg etc.
£29k new, both of these models are £16k. Engine is 1.3 Multijet (turbo diesel). 79bhp. MPG is 56mpg combined.
Ich hätte gerne den Tisch gesehen.
I would have liked to see the table

there 2 cute small vans
Sure are 👍
If you leave the sink up in the drainer looks like you actually have a toilet area, semi private!
👍
How much for a small camper
These are both priced at £16k.
There is a way of making it a two man .you can rig up a hammock, you need the proper fittings thou.
👍
Is the weight difference due to the diesel heater in the older one?
I doubt that as the weight difference is 550kg....I think maybe they have read Net weight on one and Gross weight on the other, I find it hard to believe the blue one weighs in at 2300kg when my 4x4 van weighs 2100kg net.
These are far from the world's smallest camper vans.
It’s not a romahome anything. It’s a Citroen Nemo camper. When you go into the tax office they don’t list a Romahome single birth.
How much lads??

Actually there's a large storage area under the seat, and plenty of other space if you pack with planning, and are organised in how you use the van. I had my R10 for 18 months and toured around the UK in it. My longest trip away was 10 days.
you would think you would have had a walk around before making the video and sort out how to use it
Thats the fun of it
