A proper Farewell to a West Coast Fishing Legend

The California guide industry has grown into something of a tight-knit family and we owe that unification to good men like my Friend Big John McGee. This great man helped his son build one of the best known 6 pack fishing charters in California which was dubbed, Legal Limit Sportfishing as part of the legacy that he left behind. If you could have asked him he would say that part of his legacy meant precious little to him in comparison to what truly mattered the most, “family, friends, and good memories!” He was a proud veteran who served during the war in Vietnam, he was wise, kind, compassionate, and man he LOVED to fish! His loss is felt grievously from the Oregon border down to Mexico and as far back East as Oklahoma.
