Love my sommet, motor has died and been replaced, the replacement motor has beefed up seals at the crack. Water ingress leading to sensor failure was the issue. I have replaced the rear shock as I found it under damped so now run a coil. I've also upgraded the ai sprind and damper on the fork along the way. The bike rides the roughest track at good speed, like you pointed out, even the cheap neutron wheels have held up to abuse. . I do use an insert and dhr2 on the back wheel. Seat post gave up after first ride but replacement sent out and has been running well since

What front mud guard are you using? Do you also use a rear guard and if so is it the same make as the front. Also have you attempted to adjust the chain guide? Any suggestions on best way to do this. I cant find anything online.

Hi Auldain, I use RRP Progaurds on all my bikes, have done for a long time and recommend them. The reason being front mud gaurds reduce mud splatter to the eyes/goggles and therefore inprove visibility. I dont run rear mudgaurds so cant help there. Yes the chain guide is a bit of a pain. The short answer is trial and error. Mines adjusted to run freely in the gears I use most. Hope that helps :)

Have you had any issues with motor? Waiting for mine to arrive and been reading lots of stories about error code destroying the motor.

no worries dude. One thing I'd say is make sure you dry the electrics with compressed air or a leaf blower or something, then use a electrical safe water disperant (theres vids on how to wash them) reduces your chance of issues @@CharlieHarper-d4x

@@AndyG_MTB cheers , yeah il keep it away from water as much as possible. Only going to keep it till the end of the year then grabbing an analog bike to improve fitness. Wiggle is reducing bike prices so much I couldn't turn the E version down . 👍

Is this 2023 or 22 model? Also curious what your dominant terrain is - rowdier / steeper enduro or more trail / flow style (or all of that?) Debating getting one of these for western NC (USA).

Hi, this is a 2022 model. Its more than capable on flow and moderate to large jumps (its done 40ft'ers no bother other than the rear shock). Descends pretty well over the tech, its been up in scotland and was surprisingly good. They are notorious for developing a bit of motor rattle but I beleive this was corrected in the 2023 model. If I go to bike parks (whilster etc) I take the DH bike, but you it would cope with that riding depending on how hammer time you go! Hope that helps.
