I was a contestant on this show. During my audition, I thought the camera man was laughing at me, so I stopped my routine and asked him "Are you laughing at me?" and he said "No" so then I kept singing. This was a fabulous experience for me. I ended up singing "I heard it through the grapevine on the show." Thank you WDIV for the wonderful memory!
I have thought about this jingle over the years, a positive affirmation during a dark period of the city's life. When it aired, it was quite remarkable. They should hold other auditions again. What say you?
