    What method do you use to check EEVs, on Daikin Vrvs,,?
    I would try a Set 21 to force open valves and use my hand to feel for vibration , and sometimes I would remove the heads and get a visual of the screw turning,,, but,, as I’ve found out, even if the head vibrates it may still not be winding in or out fully,, I asked an on site Daikin tekky what he does ,expecting him to tell me that he can confirm the status on his data analyser but he said nope,, He also said winding the heads out when not connecting to the valve may cause it to continuously wind out and may effect the setting and cause damage to the mechanism itself,,, So I asked him again “ so how do you test then mate”,,? His answer was “Daikin recommend all EEVs be changed every 6 years “,,, What kinda cop out is that ? Do you have any tips or tricks for testing of EEVs ?

      @@hvacuk8975 I manly work on refrigeration, but some times I do ac and that's almost all daikin and panasonic..
      But some customers have daikin refrigeration, that's basically a vrv with suction pressure around 5bar and a booster unit for the low temp around 1.9bar..
      You have a lot vrv videos and know your stuff, so by watching your videos I'm learning a lot about Daikin refrigeration😉

    I’m curious to know what is plugging the capillaries ?. Installing VRF for a decade now and I’ve never once had a single failure of a compressor. What are their installers doing to cause these failures. Compresses usually do not fail all by themselves it is a symptom of a problem. What is causing the problem ?

    • @hvacuk8975
      @hvacuk8975  3 года назад +4

      If the system has been installed without purging the pipe work, this could cause the capillaries to block eventually 👍🏼 Like you say, there is always a reason a compressor fails. Incorrect charge/refrigerant leaks causing high discharge temps, faults EEVs causing liquid flood back, poor oil return, incorrect installation etc etc 👍🏼👍🏼
