The young couples were great. I cried along with every scene I've got watched. My favorite young couple were Dawson and Joey. Jen wanted to be there for Dawson. Joey shut out Dawson and let him go to be with Jack is okay as well he went through a lot with his but still not my favorite character.Love that Jen keep fighting for him especially all what he was going through. Joey new Dawson as friend for years. Jack is okay he went through a lot. Someone who knew Joey for years as best friends was cheerful for me. I love how Pacey kept cheering up his girlfriend when she is going through so much. I never stopped loving this episode and I am watching it now again. I remembered they had cut off an unfinished scene and I was sad that I couldn't get to finish watch it. I can now 😢❤
i loved it from the beginning because at the time i was about the same age, and i actually did talk like that at times. my cousin would always ask me "Why do you talk like you're on college?" i blame the vocabulary on my parents. LOL
I also talked like that at that age as well, lol. I was honor roll student and very well read. Was also mature for my age. But, didn't look like a nerd and people didn't see me as one. I knew when to tone down the vocab around my friends, lol.
I know that it's based on the Kevin William's upbringing in North Carolina, but it felt SO MUCH like Cape Cod. I love that Berlanti still works with many people from from his old shows. Debra Mooney (from Everwood) was astonishing on "Batwoman", and I'm holding out hope that John Beasley at some point plays an alternate earth father of Joe West.
@@Nostalgic90s765 I'm saying that some shows capture their Massachusetts settings better than others. With Raising Dad, Cheers, and Clipped, you get rough ideas based on context clues. Fringe (and moreover A Million Little Things) capture the locale better. Crossing Jordan came very close, but the city morgue isn't in the Customs House, and if the Red Line (crossing over from Cambridge) jumped the tracks, it would've ended up in a lane of traffic on the Longfellow rather than in the Esplanade.
I saw the show dube in Spanish when growing up in my country and now as an adult in English and is so much different however in both languages still beautiful
If this was made today it wouldn't get past the 1st season as it really wasn't great. The writing wasn't overly impressive and the last season was a mess and yet it has an addictive quality and pacy was a great character that led the show.
I agree. Teenagers didn’t talk like that and that was very irritating when I first started watching. However I got completely hooked anyway and watched until the very end. And when they put all seasons on Netflix I binged through it again. Twice. It was a phenomenal show.
I know, just finish the whole series. We just laughed at the Burbage that was used. And we started calling at Joey's Creek after the ending of the second season. We got so tired of Joey's character she wasn't is sickening. I didn't remember that
Random AF, but: does anyone remember the spin-off from Dawson's Creek (Young Americans) with random, out-of-nowhere "Pacey's old childhood friend, Will" spins through Capeside before his new WB show started - he was a dude who was on a date with Andie when Pacey/Joey got busted secretly outside Dawson's front door? Anyway, Will left Capeside bc Dawson was bein' a little bitch to J/P and making her choose! Anyway, Will peaced the hell out of there and settled in at some boarding school with Ian Somerhalder - and the female leads were Kate Bosworth and Katherine Moennig. I remember liking it quite a bit (no Dawson's Creek, but I think it aired in the summer so I clearly watched) but it didn't make it very far, maybe 2 seasons? Another WB fail I remember was Jack and Jill which is how I first discovered Sarah Paulson. Gosh, I'm old.
It was called Young Americas which starred a young Kate Bosworth, Katherine Moennig, Mark Famiglietti, Ian Somerhalder and Rodney Scott as Will who was the character that was in a couple of episodes of DC to pave the way for the spin off. Unfortunately it only lasted one series/season even though (in my opinion) it was an interesting enough show that should have continue on at least for another couple of series/seasons especially as the show got left on a bit of a cliffhanger.
Busy talks about DC in her book, and said she got along with Katie, but they didn’t spend much time together offscreen. She said she was kind of a loner.
He was such a good character on the show. Kinda wished he lived on the show and Gale was the one who left. Gale's story pretty much hit a wall after the affair was resolved. But Mitch had more possibilities
That's so true the statement about kids talking like that I was 8th and 9th grade when Dawson's Creek debuted and I was just like them (not really lol) word of the day vocabulary being used, just trying to be older than I was, pretentious, in a good way with all my friends doing similar things. A few black kids that went to private school in a urban city like Philly you weren't the only ones
Just got done watching the whole thing of Joey's Creek. OMG, the daughters and I got so sick of Joey's character in so many ways. We very much missed Dawson's dad, and didn't agree with how everybody thought he was bad for not forgiving and forgetting about the affair for a while. But then things got better, they got together, and then killed them off? Interesting.
It was weird for me to watch it years later when it was on Netflix. Because I liked Joey years ago, and when I watched it recently I didn't like her character. I thought she was very whiney.
I felt the same. Originally watching it when I was probably 10/11, and then rewatching it a few months ago. Interesting how your perspective changes so much as you age without actually realizing it.
I agree with you 💯 IMO Joey is the most selfish character on the show. I absolutely hate how she treated Dawson through out the show. She toyed with his heart one to many times. I always shipped Dawson/Joey over Pacey/Joey but re watching the show and I think Dawson deserved better than Joey. He deserved someone who was going to love him and stand by his side no matter what. Joey never did that. For example she falls in love with him in season 1, Dawson chooses Joey over Jen in season 2,Joey and Dawson date for a few episodes,Joey breaks up with Dawson to date Jack,She dates Dawson again late season 2 then blames him for his father going back to jail then disappears, then comes back in season 3 tries to seduce Dawson he rejects it because Joey hurt him, then she falls for Dawson’s best friend Pacey and chooses Pacey over him. Also she lied to Dawson about have sex with Pacey. She did so many things that pissed me off. I think Joey craved attention and drama. Thats why I loved Jen she was the best female character on the show. Jen and Dawson were my favorites. I liked Pacey too but sometimes he could be a bit douchy.
Joey was selfish and Dawson was whiney..Pacey was aggressive and insecure and Jen was a free spirit lol but Jen and Pacey have had the most character development ever!
Funny, we just got done watching Joey's Creek. I watched a few episodes back then, I'd like to join. Probably because I thought she was cute flash very cute picture. And I guess that's what they focused on but this time around watching with my girls and just finishing it, we hated Joey's character since season 2 sometime. Ugh. Absolutely heater by the end. So many stupid Avenues, all the boys chasing after her time and time again with her throwing them off so many times. That among other things. Just awful
I found the dialogue in the pilot episode to be atrociously bad. So bad I was like, "This show is terrible!" So I didn't tune in the next week, but I did watch the season finale which got me hooked on the show.
Does anyone else not remember the dad by face? like I recognize the actor but I would have never guessed he was the dad on dawsons creek unless he said so.
Mitch and Gayle were some of the biggest characters along with Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams. I think they did them two along with Meredith Monroe and Kerr didn't get the recognition they deserved on the show I like Busy Phillips and Oliver Hudson and even chad Michael Murray and Hilary Burton got recognized from this show another great character Abby that is the way the industry works 😡😡

I imagine it was Jeffrey Jones or Craig T Nelson - 1999 Devils Advocate came out. The only other movie to come out in that time frame with Pacino is Any Given Sunday and I can't imagine it was James Woods , Matthew Modine or Dennis Quaid
I love him. He’s awesome 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
I can now 😢❤
Michael Rosenbaum! Yours/ your dogs death scene in Urban Legend haunts me to this day as a 31 y /o 😫
I'd like to see all the other actors from Dawson's Creek come on the show, it would be good to hear from them
i loved it from the beginning because at the time i was about the same age, and i actually did talk like that at times. my cousin would always ask me "Why do you talk like you're on college?" i blame the vocabulary on my parents. LOL
I also talked like that at that age as well, lol. I was honor roll student and very well read. Was also mature for my age. But, didn't look like a nerd and people didn't see me as one. I knew when to tone down the vocab around my friends, lol.
Monica Keena was the best character in the show and they killed her off.
I feel so bad for Monica...
Facts. Abby was a great addition and Monica played her so well.
Nah
John Wesley Shipp one of the most handsome actors ever!
I remember him from All My Children as Carter Jones.
Oh my God I love you John Wesley ! I watch Dawson's Creek from start to end on loop on Netflix. I can't stop!
Even though KW is from North Carolina and that's where it was shot, in the show it is meant to represent Massachusetts, so very Cap Cod-esque!
I feel stupid because I absolutely forgot he was part of that cast and now that episode with Barry with the old theme makes so much more sense
Love this guy.
He’s gradually looking like Bill Nye.
Why have I not found this sooner !!!
The dad he didn't want to mention... Gotta be the dad on 90210...😂
I can’t believe his character died over spilled ice cream.. WHAT WAS HE GOING TO DO WITH THAT ICECREAM??! EAT IT?
Glad to hear his words, love that they accompanied James to the premiere. Seems like a solid dude.
Lex and The Flash? "I have no idea who this is".
If this was made today it wouldn't get past the 1st season as it really wasn't great. The writing wasn't overly impressive and the last season was a mess and yet it has an addictive quality and pacy was a great character that led the show.
I have a grown child & my spouse, because he was in the room, just had to go with a rewatch of Dawson’s Creek with me.
He looks amazing
I agree. Teenagers didn’t talk like that and that was very irritating when I first started watching. However I got completely hooked anyway and watched until the very end. And when they put all seasons on Netflix I binged through it again. Twice. It was a phenomenal show.
haha me too stuck at netflix because of DC❤
I know, just finish the whole series. We just laughed at the Burbage that was used. And we started calling at Joey's Creek after the ending of the second season. We got so tired of Joey's character she wasn't is sickening. I didn't remember that
@@miragexl007 Yes, it became all about Joey and I'm confused as to why. She wasn't enthralling. In fact I found her downright miserable.
The show ran its course, is all.
Great interview
I love this man!
Is there a part where they discuss how they have both been the Flash?
I didn’t even notice…….😳
There was also _Hyperion Bay_ with "Zack Morris". Not related to D'sC, but had "Doug" as a main character.
I think it’s pacey and Dawson cause they didn’t have much scenes together in 5th/6th season and maybe Joey and Audrey.
Busy talks about DC in her book, and said she got along with Katie, but they didn’t spend much time together offscreen. She said she was kind of a loner.
So what was the "Behind the Scenes Drama?" Lol
Such clickbait!
It’s so you’ll watch the video lol
Loved you in Poolhall Junkies my dude
He was such a good character on the show. Kinda wished he lived on the show and Gale was the one who left. Gale's story pretty much hit a wall after the affair was resolved. But Mitch had more possibilities
That's so true the statement about kids talking like that I was 8th and 9th grade when Dawson's Creek debuted and I was just like them (not really lol) word of the day vocabulary being used, just trying to be older than I was, pretentious, in a good way with all my friends doing similar things. A few black kids that went to private school in a urban city like Philly you weren't the only ones
before he become dawson father, i know him already from FLASH.
It amazes me how many people think that the TV show Dawson's Creek, and the City of Dawson Creek, BC Canada are somewhat related
dawsons best teen show there is
Obrigada Michael , amo a série dawson e todo elenco texto rico , parabeniso a todos saúde e paz🌻
James van de Beek was perfectionist. Alot people didn't understand him well and he as well became irritated alot.
Two flashes. Multiverse confirmed.
I liked Pacey too but sometimes he could be a bit douchy.
haha thats high school for you😊
Joey was selfish and Dawson was whiney..Pacey was aggressive and insecure and Jen was a free spirit lol but Jen and Pacey have had the most character development ever!
Just awful
Is the interviewer lex Luther from Smallville?
Yeah it's Michael Rosenbaum
Mitch's end on Dawson's Creek hits you really hard. He was one of my favorite TV dad's and it was brutal. 💯
I found the dialogue in the pilot episode to be atrociously bad. So bad I was like, "This show is terrible!" So I didn't tune in the next week, but I did watch the season finale which got me hooked on the show.
What TV dad was he talking about? My first thought was Alan Thicke. Could have been Bob Saget though.
Ooohh...Mitch.
It's really sad when Mitch died.
Too sudden!
John Wesley Shipp will always be Kelly Nelson to me. #JustSaying
Hace un mes acabe de ver por primera vez "Dawson Creek", y me gustó, aunque había demasiados cliché y peleas innecesarias.
Does anyone know who played Mitch in the original pilot?
Hey it’s Flash!!!!!!
Totally agree: The language was so unusual for a regular teenager. Kind of unrealistic..
Does anyone know the original actor from the pilot presentation?
This is my question
JWS is forever Kelly from Guiding Light.
Smallville was basically Dawson’s Creek with superheroes and X-Files freak of the week.
It’s weird first time I’ve seen him since the show.
who was dawson's dad in the unaired pilot?
Why did Joshua Jackson and James van der Beek not come along during that time?
I saw the first episode of that show when it aired. I guess it didn't do it for me. I remember the "kids don't like like that" criticism. :)
