In this video, I will show you a few ways to avoid getting stopped out by a false breakout (fakeout). I am sharing with you a few tips that are personally use for my trading. You can use those concepts on all timeframes! Hope you will gain some value from those little tips! I also go through some price action in hindsight in order to illustrate the concepts.

You are very welcome, Bisma! In my 2.0 strategy, the 14EMA plays a major role! I have a specific sequence of it playing out, which lets me know when the market is about to reverse and also gives me an entry confluence! It's not really a big deal, but it's a great confluence to add on top of structure. The main timeframes you can use it is the 5/15M. I explain all of that in my private program!

It's a but unclear. At 15:03 you take the most recent highest high as zone, but at 14:09 you use a wick of a kind of random candle. So how exaclty is the zone to be defined that you use for the retest?
Always go back to the fundamentals. False breakouts killed me in the beginning of my trading journey. This video is golden for beginners and a good reminder for those 4+ years into it like myself. Keep up the good work my man!

Breakouts - with vsa volume are perfect to combine. It will give you extra confirmation.

Books are not a great learning tool for trading. The only books I'd recommend are on trading psychology and performance, not on technical analysis.
Hi, thx for the video. Is this still your style of finding entries, cause in newer videos I see you focusing more on order blocks. So my question is here, when to find zones like the ones you show in this video (like the wicks of the most recent lower high) and when to focus on order blocks / institutional candles?
Good question! I'd say in order to keep the distraction low, focus only on S&D zones or order blocks as you call them. I've found that the majority of the time they will work nicely. Sometimes, structure will be respected and that's fine, you just don't get a trade. So my advise will be pick one of the two approaches and stick to them! I have taken all my structure understanding and just added the S&D levels and it has worked amazingly!
@@TradingFanatic Thx for the answer, I thought the same and I also trade like that. I combine it with these appoaches to improve confluence and probability:
* Fixed range volume profiles and session profiles: When these line up with the S&D zones most of my trades are successfull
* Daily Pivot points: also for confluence for support and resistance and to define take profits

Hello Iliya, Love from Pakistan. Although i love your content and i have watched your videos multiple times starting from educational to tradebreakdown although i trade in Crypto Pairs, but i have not been able to make any progress for past 10 months. I started learning back in 2021 and now it's almost an year. I'm not saying I'm guaranteed to be profitable in 1 year nor anyone is as it's a multi-factorial thing to learn but i have not seen any major breakthrough towards being a consistent trader. I have tried always to learn with little money and focused more on strategy to trade with or percentage gain or loss i'm having plus psychologically not thinking of losses as meant for me. Could you please respond on this comment and give me some direction to work with!

Thanks for the feedback brother! The RR is much higher than 1:2 usually. The win rate stays around 50% I would say and it depeds on how well you understand structure also. It really has a lot of variables to it. I would recommend testing all the major pairs! The ones I analyze on the weekly outlook and setups!

Happy you loved the video bro! Your question is a bit out of my expertise. If you have checked my trading setups breakdowns, you'd know I enter on the 1M timeframe. So there, I usually use SLs between 2 and 6 pips. But if you wish to trade on the 1H, then I cannot really give you a specific amount, because it depends on so many factors - where do you enter, how do you place your SL, what RR are you looking for, what is the specific setup, etc. it all comes with context! You cannot just decide a 20 pip SL on EU and just go with it. Every SL will be different!

That really depends on the strategy and the trader as well. I cannot tell you make 1 day per day, if your system needs to take 5 trades per day in order for the probabilities to play out. It's a hard question for me to answer, as I am also not given any context about your trading system. I personally take max 3-4 per day. But I have days and even weeks when I don't take any trades at all - flat all week. It really depends on the market and if the patterns that I trade are appearing. If they appear - I strike. If not - I stay away. So your question is definitely a little bit broad. Think of it and let me know your thoughts brother!
This only really works for trend following, and not for reversals or choppy markets
Yes, I do agree with you! The choppy/ranging markets will usually do a lot of fakes, but still, if you follow all the rules, you will avoid getting stopped out. But you definitely have a point here!
Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower time frame trend).Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 2-5 days). By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 5-10,four hourly candles has enough players/juice behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset. And I seek your wisdom?

I haven't got any trading books that teach those concepts brother. Naked forex and the Candlestick trading bible are the ones I would recommend! But book can never teach you enough to become profitable!

Talking about trading structure, after the second "stay above/below" a stop order could be placed at the previous broken structure, since we're always waiting for a re-test. Do you think could it be a way to follow a trend ?

It can definitely be applied to the 15M. This is what I showed on the little hindsight backtest. As for 3M, it will get way too noisy and you will get lots of losses with that. You can get a much tighter entry, but most of the times the 15M wouldn't have closed above structure, but the 3M will show as a close. This will lead to a loss. Hope you understand!

lol it really sounds amazing but you come here , and I will give you a chart that you don't know , replay from the beginning not allowed to see price action and lets see how many trades you win. Its easy when you look at the chart that you studied and putting the replay mode but looking at further data. I tried replay mode for one Chart and yeah it worked but then tried another 15 charts and it doesn't work unless you know the trend direction before hand.
Anthony, you make a great point bro! But those things do not work just on their own. Indeen, you need the trend and context behind the pair and also know it's tendecies. For example. GU will always make fakeouts, while EU tends to just respect all levels without faking.
I appreciate the criticism of course, but the video is just showing a ''concept''. It doesn't say that this is 100% system that will always win no matter what chart and what pair.

Hi mate, I have a question? When Identifying a zone (eg. Bear), and I select the candle (from the body to the wick), Do I select a bearing candle only? or it does not matter? Can you pls help to clarify this> Cheers
Hmm if I get your question right, you have to take all the wicks that form a zone. So if you have a bearish wick, but then the next candle also creates a wick, bigger than the previous, then you have to take this also into accoun! I explain how to draw the zones in me free course. Hi, there nice work. it best if you do not go below 4 hourly chart, try to find good entry, just to avoid to many wick. Really wish to see more 4 hourly setup with MS. thank you
I agree Vincent! Trading solely the 4H can work amazingly. You will have to however swing trade - holding trades for longer, having big SLs and waiting a lot. That's why I resonate more with day trading and trading the lower timeframes. If you understand how to do it correctly, it works great!
