I have two email addresses set up for ctirical alerts, but I was surprised to recieve an email indicating EULA and privacy agreements have been updated to both emails. Its a system notification but I cant find the corresponding option to make a custom rule to not get those notifications on one of the emails. I really only want emails going to one of those email addresses to be "somethings on fire" levels of critical. Not TOS updates. What notification setting do those correspond to so I can turn them off?
One thing confuses me about firewall and port forwarding. I use my cell phone when I'm out to check my Mail plus and sometimes log into DSM from my cellphone's browser. However, in order to do so I have to port forward my dsm ports for which I use alternates. I also use OpenVPN. You say that forwarding the DSM ports is not safe but without it the access from outside goes with it. What am I missing?
Your session was very good. Nevertheless, going around and clicking on all these thousands of checkboxes is one thing, but for me, it doesn’t help me to decide which function I have to activate or not activate. It made me a little bit lost, and I am not sure if I’ll have the time to play with all these function or study more deeply what advanced features means for me. Sorry. Jan
I agree with updates, I strongly disagree with automatic updates. This option should not exist as the person responsible with the administration should do the updates and watch closely the device functionality. People using backup software (clients/agents/iscsi) know exactly what i am talking about.

Ok, I feel calmed down as there is nothing new to me in this video as a user of Synology NAS for over 10 years now.
I thought that WORM, Immutable Snapshots, and Full Volume Encryption was new.
