I'm Warching this again. It's now 2024! This is one of my favorite podcasts ever, and I have listened to it at least 5 times, as well as recommended it to many others. It always makes me sad that I can only give the thumbs up one time. Your productions have helped me grow a stronger love of the scriptures. Things that I had a hard time understanding by myself are explained so beautifully by your guests. I usually listen as I drive to work, where I help 45 kindergarten children learn to read, but today is spring break, and I get to spend it helping two elderly ladies get to the temple. Great job guys! Thank you so much!
It took SO much self restraint not to watch this before the week of Easter. I can’t get enough of Anthony Sweat. Love his insights, way of teaching, and character. I didn’t think Easter could get any better, but it did.
Thank you so much for the teaching on the expectation of what we want instead of God's will. My son needed open heart surgery as a baby. My husband was confident he would be healed by faith and the power of the priesthood. He was not. As the years passed many powerful lessons and insights have come teaching me the character of God, his love for each of us, and the blessing of submitting. ❤
I love listening to Dr. Sweat. His calm, quiet faith and wisdom are inspiring. I also love how he listens to both of you, so that you become three witnesses of the truth. I also have been inspired by your RUclips broadcasts, listening for over a year, and it is one that I never want to miss. Thank you for being voices for the truth in a world that needs it so much!
I love, love, love ALL your weekly Follow Him videos! I never miss a week! This was an exquisite Easter discussion. Thank you all! Happy Easter to you. P.S. I listen intently each week. A mind can only focus one thing at a time. My focus is always focused on you!
His painting that he talks about is called "Jesus of Nazareth" by Anthony Sweat. It's a beautiful piece, and can be found just by googling the name :) Brother Sweat, please sell your painting 😊
I heard that too, but I think it's a rumor. The painting is Christ in the Red Robes by Del Parson. It looks like people assumed it was general authorities that worked with him to create it, and that they wanted him to make one that looked most like Jesus, but it was the curriculum department. It's assumed that the revisions they had him make were so it would be good for widespread use in the Church. I found the info on a forum: "According to Bro. Parson, the painting was indeed commissioned by the Church, but he worked with the curriculum department to create a painting suitable for their needs. There were several revisions in the process to develop a picture suitable for their needs; there was never an indication that the revisions were to make the portrait "more accurate." I guess it's acceptable for a world-wide distribution."

I think it was President Kimball who said one picture looked the most like Him
