    Hello everyone.
    There seem to be many people who think that laser welding can only be used when there is no gap.
    TIG welding, MIG welding, electric welding, laser welding, etc...
    Each of these welding methods has its own characteristics and strengths and weaknesses.
    If you learn the characteristics and strengths and weaknesses of the laser welding machine, it seems that the fields that can be applied will be diverse.
    Today, I put some of them in the video.
    I hope today's video has been helpful in solving many people's questions.
    Thanks for watching and have a nice week.

    The wire melt faster than the size of the gap. I mean in the gap stay to long in liquid form the melted metal(wire). Probably a bit ticker wire or faster feed rate or even wider laser beam would doing amazing job. They using laser in car factory and everywhere nowdays, so the gap is not problem at all.

    • @d8l835
      @d8l835 10 месяцев назад

      When using the appropriate materials/filler material its as strong as most mig/tig welds. Tensile strength is tensile strength regardless of the transfer method right? There are many more dangers that come with this process though. The laser can burn or blind you MUCH faster than a traditional mig or tig set up. It is not recommended to use this in general shops, it should only be done in enclosed areas to protect bystanders and with proper PPE. Takes less than a second to severely injure your eyes or go blind without proper eye protection

    • @FreakensNL
      @FreakensNL 8 месяцев назад

      MIG and TIG are also very different in strength.. penetraition, inclusions, temp, etcetc all factor in the tensile strenght in the end.@@d8l835

      가능은 합니다. 다만 일반 티그봉의 파이수가 레이저 용접기 필러의 파이수보다 크기 때문에 레이저 용접기로 녹여서 갭을 채워주기 위해서는 출력을 높여야 하는데 낮은 용량의 레이저 용접기로는 힘듭니다. 그리고 잘못하다가는 빛반사때문에 본체에 대미지가 올수도 있고 익숙하지 않으면 레이져 용접기 필러를 이용하는것보다 용접 품질이 매우 떨어질수 있어 추천하지는 않습니다.

    • @loweek9646
      @loweek9646 Год назад +2

      Depending on the gap, if your wire falls through the gap it's makes it harder to laserweld. But not impossible then you need to play with feed rate and wobble frequency. For easy closing a gap, use wire that doesn't fall through it.
      For example if the gap is 0,9 mm, you can use a 1,0 mm wire and just weld at a normal speed, if using a 0,8 mm wire you need lower the feed rate, so it fills it up. Trial and error my friend, goodluck!

      The biggest benefit to a laser welder is speed and ease of use. You can make welds 10x faster than doing the same ones with TIG as long as you can click a button. Not to say laser welding is superior than tig, but its hard to beat just how fast and easy these things are.
