I don't know why I said "12,000"ohm resistance" when I should have said "12k". Same thing, but it just sounds weird. 😁 Also, when I said it comes with black blades, I mean you can buy one with black blades as opposed to the featured chrome ones.
Great video Scott. This is the first that I am hearing an Artec pickup and it’s very impressive at any price let alone $24! Thank you for bringing it to us.
Wow, very versatile, you definitely have a pickup there that covers the bases. Nice playing too, great demo, I definitely got a good sense of what they'll do. 🤘
Got these pickups and they sound amazing. Had some Seymour Duncan antiquity pickups which were nothing special. Normal single coil bridge always sounded too thin and shrill. Artec is my new brand for cheap and amazing pickups.
do you have a wiring diagram that you followed or created for this exact thing? just picked up this pickup for my Harley Benton tele and I'd like to maybe coil split it.
You'd just wire it up like a normal Telecaster and tape off the red and white wires that are already soldered together when you get it. So if you're just replacing a stock single coil Tele bridge pickup, just resolder the hot and ground where the old pickup was soldered.
I don't think musiclily has their own Tele hotrail. If you're looking for a strat hotrail, Musiclilys are pretty good, as are the Wilkinson's they carry.
There was a complaint about that and I believe they were supposed to fix it and extend the rail all the way tot he end of the bobbin. A good setup of the radius of the saddles helps too, depending on your guitar's fretboard.

Oh man, that is versatile, great Recrafting! It sounds great in every position and setting.

Is that a P90 you have in the Neck position Scott. Great Video and sounds great in every position.
Thanks. That was a Wilkinson mini humbucker. A P90 in the neck would.have been cool, but I'm not sure it would fit the body.
@@Guitarnivore Thanks Scott. I like it so much, going to check it out and will order myself one. 500 Pots?
@@hobiecat901 It has been awhile, but I believe I used 500k pots.
Very modern sound! Nice for Smiths etc.
I have this in the bridge of my avalon tl.
It sounds ok, but it's really temperamental about height adjustment.
I recommend an eq pedal.

Here you go. freeimage.host/i/JMUuf2I
you're a gentleman and a scholar! thanks for the quick reply!
Do you have a wiring diagram just for humbucker with no split?

@@Guitarnivore got it thanks bro
What is the mini humbucker you have installed?
That is a Wilkinson ceramic mini.
how much volume and tone pot resistance did you use?
It's been a year since I did this video so I'm not 100% sure, but I think because I had two humbuckers, I used 500k pots and a .022 capacitor.
@@Guitarnivore thank you for answer!
This or the musiclily hotrails?

250 or 500k pots?
500k
The only thing I don't like about these is the width.
My 1 and 6 strings are noticeably less audible.
