I was there, and this thing was breathtaking for its speed, its crazy slip and lean angles, and the sheer volume of the guttural report from its exhausts.
I'd recommend the Goodwood Festival of Speed to anyone, any day of the week.
It's on the list! That and Isle of Man, and Pikes Peak. :)
+vwkaferman , Pikes Peak is great! If you can, get here the week before the race so you can watch all the stuff throughout the week (tech inspection, practices, Fan Fest) and get semi-acclimated to the altitude. Then camp overnight on the Peak on Saturday into Sunday so that you wake up with the track right next to you. The parade of the cars down the hill afterwards is really cool so make sure you don't miss it!
I live in Colorado Springs and I can see the Peak from my front window so I've been spoiled, bit Goodwood is on my to-do list for sure. I have to drive the 'Ring while I'm over on that side of the pond as well.

I am not sure.... but as many kamaz as i saw, every one of these beasts were using Petrol as fuel and some were using Nitro additive into their fuel tank.

With that height i'm actually quite surprised about how stable it was. I was expecting it to be flipped over.
This is a racing truck. It's designed to be driven hard. And there wasn't alot of grip anyway as you can see. He was sliding all over the place, not enough grip to tip over

hillclimb is technically a point to point race that has a finishing point higher than it's starting point. They've driven uphill, therefore it's a hillclimb.

It actually was driven all the way to UK on public roads.
+Satanizr and also drives more than 1000km each Dakar beginning in street routes.

What is in the back of these?
They are used as you know for Dakar. While racing they carry LOTS of spares, tires and tools. Also sum big ass jacks and air system
usually gear to support the team's other vehicles, tyres/wheels, fuel, spare parts etc. for when a team mate's vehicle breaks down during a leg of the dakar and they can't get it to the service point :)
Some tools, fuel and the drivers balls.

why were they on and off the gas so much? didn't seem like he was trying to go fast, just trying to slide it sideways for fun.
it's 10 tonnes on basically ice slippery road which is barely any wider then the car so he needed to control it .
It's Goodwood, more of a show than a competition.
06goatm6 I think he was just enjoying himself and playing to the crowd. 900bhp or not, that beast still weighs in at near-as-damn-it 10 tons in that trim so it was never going to be a contender for fastest time of the day. So why not go out and have fun? You can't really do that on the Dakar or the other events those tower blocks compete in so if you can take it to Goodwood and do that there wouldn't be many drivers who wouldn't say "Hell, yes..." Chewing up some of Lord March's immaculately manicured grass just adds a bit of spice lol...
