- For those who want to buy DJI drones, or to train their flying skills or just for fun. I’m using the free version of DJI Flight Simulator with the original Mavic Mini remote control. It’s easy to use for beginners before they fly the real drone and crash it.

Hi, thanks so much for this neat tutorial. I have recently got a DJI Mavic Mini (1) and this flight simulator comes in very handy. Thanks to your playfulness and discoveries I was immediately able to use the FS using the settings for DJI Mavic Air (the DJI MAvic Mini controller comes fairly close to the one for this drone). After doing several routines I was advised to practice (see Eric Cheng) I feel so much more confident going out into the real world to practice live. Thanks again, mate.

It doesn't work with Mini 2 controller... :( The company doesn't have any plans on adding it to the application soon.
It is very dissapointing as many new drone pilots have this controller. :(

Some say that Mini 2 and Mini 3 controllers are not compatible with DJI Flight Simulator.

excellent. On my computer, there is a delay between the instructions from the remote and their execution in the simulator. What computer and graphics card do you recommend in general when using Flight Simulator?

one more question do you know to switch the pov of the drone in the simulator with the mini 1 controller
there is no switch to change the view on the Mavic Mini 1 controller, because it's not the standard controller in the simulator. But you can use keyboard instead (minute 10:45).

Can anyone confirm that the mavic mini controller still works with DJI Flight Simulator?
yes. it works. at the beginning not, but I changed the cable as The video editor suggested, and it was excellent.

From the testimonies of Mavic Mini 2 users, it doesn't work yet with Mini 2 controller.
so to all, it works excellently with Mavic mini RC on pc, windows 10. if not, maybe change the cable, as I did on the video editor's advice.

no, we don't have to. In my case, it runs and recognizes the controller automatically right after I connect the USB cable to the computer.
May I ask you something, did you use Mavic Mini 1 controller or Mavic Mini 2 controller?

Not sure how you managed it but my Mavic Mini 1 controller doesn't work with it.

From the same model you mentioned, MR1SD25. Does the drone also need to be on?
No, not at all. The drone has nothing to do with it. You only need the controller. Maybe you can check the cable connection or try another usb cable.

Hello, nice video, thank you. However, when I install the App I get the picture shown at 07:24, and not the one shown at 08:54 with "Skills training" etc. How do I get beyond the initial picture, please?

I have solved the problem by creating a C:\DFS folder etc, as shown in other videos, and it is now installed and working, but very sluggishly. My Mavic Mini Controller isn't connecting to the simulator. What can I do? I tried it with 2 Micro USB cables.
@Manolol with 3.0 usb cable maybe? (usually with blue tip)

@David mon you don't need any driver for it, just plug and play like showed in the video.
My computer's specs are not good enough for the DJI Flight Simulator. I can't afford to upgrade. What can I do? Can I cheat (downgrade settings)? Is there another flight simulator that is compatible with my Mavic Air Controller?
Maybe you can adjust the settings to the lower like display resolution etc.
Try dji virtual flight. It’s on mobile

@luggaderechte do you have Mavic Mini 2 or Mini 1? because it only works with Mini 1.
If you have Mavic Mini 1 and still doesn't work, check your USB cable (try the good one) and the connection. I hope it could help.
Even when I run usb it doesn’t work help :(
In my case, as I connected the USB cable to the computer, the computer recognized it right away without installing driver or run any file whatsoever.
Maybe you can be more specific the details how you did it?

That's happened to other Mini 2 owner too. I think it's not compatible yet with Mini 2 controller.

There is some astonishment at the price of the Pro version of the simulator.. LOL 1600 Euros... I guess it is not aimed at Mini 2 pilots.. However for a company boss, with more money than sense, who buys a DJI Inspire 2 X7 (£7000) so his company can save cash on hiring a Pro operator/company could save this amount on 'first crash' repairs (after two or maybe even three minutes at full throttle) when he gives it to that spotty self confident nerd who has enough confidence to fill a large room but never touched a drone in his life.
I agree with you. That's why I only use the free version for my Mini 1 🙂 and that's enough for me.

I just plug and play my controller and the computer detect it rightaway. It doesn't need extra driver whatsoever.

Maybe it is meant to be a simulator for expensive and professional drones. As you can see in the simulator's drone option, there are no Mavic Mini and other low budget drones. IMHO

How do I setup my DJI smart remote for the Flight simulator?
I haven't done it with DJI Smart remote. I plugged and play the remote for Mavic Mini 1 without installing the driver whatsoever. The computer recognized it immediately.
