Worth the watch. I grew up listening to Mark & Lard in the afternoons, I could of collapsed when they seperated and left Radio 1. I still really miss them. And even all these years on Radio 1 suffers without them, yet thousands more this week who've tuned out of Radio 1. Whilst 6 Music goes from strength to strength.
Fun fact: Stuart Maconie insists on eating a tin of John West tuna chunks in sunflower oil, kept below room temperature, before every show. It gives him the energy to interrupt Mark Radcliffe every 3 seconds.
5:10 is one of the most straight-forward explanations of why age and wanting to hear new music are unrelated. I've got the same appetite for new bands than I ever have.
R6 is a fantastic station. I loved Mark's earlier stuff with Mark Riley and he's absolutely right- why would you want to settle into old music if you have the appetite for new sounds?

One of the greatest presenters ever. These days he keeps Stuart Maconie's ego in check. No easy objective. He's both funny and informative.
