I have designed this hands-on course to provide you an intense yet enjoyable instructional experience that focuses on a large number of both introductory and advanced topics in SEM using the latest version of one of the most well-known software package, IBM AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures). In this course I will provide the materials and instruction that you need to both develop a good understanding of SEM and to be able to thoughtfully apply a variety of basic and advanced models to your data. More specifically, this course will cover a broad range of topics such as
• data preparation,
• model development,
• model fit assessment using various indexes,
• construct reliability and validity assessment using various methods,
• different methods to improve your model,
• structural model assessment,
• hypothesis testing,
• mediation using Baron and Kenny approach
• mediation using Sobel test
• mediation using bootstrapping method
• moderation,
• and multi-group analysis

Hello, Prof. Sharif, I just want to ask, in this video, you have mentioned that, sometimes AVE cannot reach to 0.4, even if I have hardly tried. And I only have 3 items. In which papers I could be able to find this reference ? thank you for replying my quesiton in advance.
Hi MinChen, I have mentioned this in many of my papers and my SEM book. For example, see Pahlevan Sharif, S., Ahadzadeh, A. S., & Sharif Nia, H. (2018). Dear Dr Saeed, in minute 13.45 you mentioned that we can run EFA between items that have high discriminant validity and find the one that has cross-loading. Could you please provide me the reference about this method. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance, Sir.

@@saeedsharif Thank you for prompt response. In master validity table, there should ideally be numeric values of CR, AVE, MSV, MaxR(H) and then the five factors that are part of my study. Instead of numeric values in the table, it is "NaN". I wish I could provide a screenshot for better understanding.

If i have problems with the Discriminat Validity is there any way to fix it?
Yes. You should exclude the problematic items. first exclude the item with the highest correlation with the items of the other construct. Repeat this process until you fix the issue. This is the most common method. You can perform EFA to find that item too.

Very helpful Video! Sir, could you please give the reference for journal papers which state that AVE greater than 0.5 is a stringent measure and we can look into other indicator like Composite Reliability greater than 0.70 for establishing convergent validity of a construct
