Simple solution to that debacle at the start: STANDING STARTS. They were finally implemented at PIR in 2007, and need to be brought to IndyCar. They're much easier to manage and to police, and have worked in Formula One for many years. Penalties are an easy matter: if a guy jumps the green light, he gets a drive-through.

Great upload! Over 16k RPM, traction control, Bridgestone tyres: I didn't know Indycar racing was so much like F1. Too bad it was such a snorefest. This track is way too narrow to overtake. :(

You got your wish! Starting next year, IndyCar will have standing/flying start "doubleheaders" in two races. ;-D

Saying this was a snorefest is a bit of an exaggeration. Especially in comparison to some of the races today. I for one, liked the race. Was there much passing? No, but passing alone doesnt make a great race for me. Its the commentators, the cars, the sounds, drivers, personalities, the race track itself. This race had all of that. I like portland a lot. It had some amazing racing during CART's glory years. I think more than any year these cars sounded so much like F1 cars. Is it just me?

"Passing alone doesn't make a great race"
If only the new F1 "fans" would understand this...

All of that at the start, Brack does the same thing and this time he threw the green.....and then got the advantage into 1 as a result. No wonder CART came out a loser.
