    The Bauer Supreme M4 hockey skates are designed for the player who skates 2-3+ times per week and is looking for a good balance of fit, performance, and comfort.
    Over the last couple of years, Bauer has been focused on separating the performance attributes of the Supreme and Vapor skates from an on-ice performance and feel perspective. The new technologies, new materials, and different flex points are what will differentiate these skates.
    Supreme focuses on power with the lower part of the skate being stiffer to optimize energy transfer and the upper part of the skate being softer allowing for increased mobility.
    The Bauer Supreme M4 has a 3D lasted Flex Composite Quarter package which provides great support and thermoforming capabilities. The outsole is made of Digi Composite which allows the skate to maintain its lower stiffness to generate power in every stride.
    The 48oz Felt tongue with an exposed metatarsal guard provides you with comfort and protection in key areas of the foot.
    Internally, Bauer uses Aerofoam to provide optimal comfort for the ankle and a hydrophobic microfiber liner. The footbed had Form Fit+ technology with memory foam to keep your foot locked in place throughout the game.
    The Supreme M4 skate provides players with great protection and performance features to make this model a terrific value.

    Picked these up a few weeks ago, so far so good. For a mid level skate they're one of the most comfortable skates I've ever had.

    Which one would you recommend between the M4 and the vapor 3X ? love the review btw

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  Год назад

      Thanks for the feedback! Both skates are a great options. M4 are the Supreme skates, more geared toward a power skater and the 3X are the Vapors, geared towards quickness. If you're close to a store I'd recommend going in and getting your foot scanned, and trying on both skates as it could just come down to person preference.

      To give additional feedback (from my student, someone who was assessed at a Pure Hockey location), evidently the Vapor line is for someone with narrower feet. He'd have preferred the Vapor, but the expert at Pure Hockey who put his feet through the assessment bluntly said there was "no way that heel would fit in a Vapor heel box." The alternative, the Supreme M4's showcased in the video, have proven themselves to be a very good fit. My student absolutely loves his skates, and playing in the local leagues in them.

      @@roberteugene7295I was told the exact same thing at my local Pure Hockey shop. I tried on both and the Vapor was indeed too narrow even in a Fit 3. The Supremes fit and feel great.

      Hello! We never carried the Bauer Supreme Matrix skate. These are special edition skates exclusive to certain retailers.

    • @calgary2800

      I have the M4 and the Matrix 2022. Bought the M4 1st and than the local store allowed the Matrix to be sold at Canada's prices for me paying in USD. Its was too good to pass up. To sum it up the Matrix is definitely worth the extra coin if you can get a deal like I did, I paid full msrp for the M4. The Matrix takes comfort to another level and that flex tendon feels so good. Sometimes I don't even want to take off the Matrix. The tongue is more comfortable on the Matrix as its thinner and the padding is better as well. I thought it felt better on my feet than the Mach, which along with the Ultrasonics I also did not like due to comfort issues. I know YMMV but for me the clear standout currently is the Matrix if you can find it near you.

    My LE MX3's finally gave out on me last week (holder ripped right out of the boot, bought in Feb 2015) and I need new skates asap but I can't spend 1000 dollars again. Would these be a good replacement? I mainly care about weight, height from the ice and fit so would these be comparable to my MX3's? I'm a fast power skater and I play 2-3 games a week in higher level beer league.

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  7 месяцев назад

      If you're looking to stay within a certain budget, these would be a good option. It's a slight downgrade from what you had. The boot won't be as stiff, different liner and tongue but weight, height from the ice and fit would be similar.

    I’m on the fence berths supreme or the vapors I have never used another skate other than Bauer Getting back into mating after 22 years I was gifted a cheap pair of Bauer s35 They are ok but once I starting playing hockey I really. Feel like I need a better skate So I’m on the fence between supreme or vapor. M3 or x3.7. Vs The m4 or 3x I’d like to say I’m a little
    But if both power skater and a quick maneuver type of skater

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  Год назад

      If you're playing hockey more regularly we would definitely recommend a higher model than the S35. Those are great for public skating or pond hockey but won't provide great support and will break down really quickly with a lot of use. If you feel like you are a mix between power and speed it might be good to go to a store to get your foot scanned and try on a Supreme and Vapor skate as it could just come down to what you feel is more comfortable. The higher model skates (M4 and 3X) will allow you to choose your fit and will have better materials and support. If you're playing occasionally the M3 or X3.7 aren't a bad option either.

      If you're skating recreationally, the M3 would be a great option. The M4 may have a little more comfort but either one would work, just depends on how much you're looking to spend.

    How much better of a skate is the M5 compared to M4?whatbare the major differences? Is it worth the upgrade?

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  6 месяцев назад

      A couple of the big differences between the M5 Pro and the M4 is the boot - M5 Pro boot is constructed with 3D Lasted Carbon Curv Composite, while the M4 boot is constructed with 3D Lasted Flex Composite. The liner in the M5 Pro will be upgraded with more comfort and moisture wicking material. The runner that the M5 Pro comes with is the Pulse, while the M4 comes with the LS+. If you're skating 3+ times a week at a high level, the upgrade to the M5 Pro would be worth it, otherwise the M4 is a great skate with some good features and technology.

    What is digicomp

      @purehockey  Год назад

      Digi Composite is a more forgiving boot construction to promote flex within the skate. It provides step in comfort and an easy to use flex profile for the developing player.
