Terrific video! And, as of September, 20, 2024, New York City has more skyscrapers that are at least 1200 feet / 364 m tall than every other city on earth: eight! I visited NYC last month and the skyscrapers, among other things, were splendid.

Freedom Tower seems to be one of the few buildings that seem to look athletically pleasing today. Maybe it's just cause there was two of them, but the iconography of the twin towers feels so massive and overpowering, yet calm and reassuring. There was lots of detail in it's simplicity. The three new buildings look like promising designs for a future movement. The apartment buildings however really suck in design. Wow, you build a walk in stick. So fancy.
if world trade center didn't exist there would be for sure skyscrapers already in new york over 2 thousand feet but new york still has the most supertall skyscrapers in the the world and biggest economy and popularity
In honor of the twin towers I don’t think one WTC height won’t ever be surpassed the twin towers fell as the tallest building in the city and they want to keep it that way which I do like. I firmly believed before 9/11 that no building in NYC was ever going to surpass the original WTC due to its symbol and t he fact they were twins probably didn’t want to get that overshadowed by another building , but then 9/11 happened and changed the whole ball game.
Its not a matter of letting the wtc be the tallest, its the fact that we have so much office space, we dont need more, and the apartments in thowe supertalls are so expensive that only a handful of people in the world could own them. If someone came along and proposed affordable housing in a supertall and someone else funded it, they'd be popping up all over the city.
If the communication rings of 1wtc are included, the building would probably be around 1,420ish feet tall. I would personally include them because they can be walked on.
This history would have been more complete if you had started with the Woolworth Building, and had shown the building downtown that the Chrysler was competing against. . Otherwise it was enjoyable.
If you are interested in using it for your next video, I have just uploaded my 2 World Trade Center model to the 3D Warehouse (under Xing L.). Beautifully rendered and animated video (same with your last video), thank you for featuring my models!
Wow, I love it! It’s amazing. I’m not sure yet, but I think I might dedicate a video just for it. And please, no need to thank me; the least I can do is give you credit for all the time your models save me. Thank you for making these awesome models available to everyone. Just real quick, both the North Tower and the new 1WTC are both stated to be 1,368 feet tall to the roof top (not counting the 1WTC's communication rings). Why did the 1WTC appear a little bit shorter?-an optical illusion perhaps?
lol witnessing building designs since the constitution of the WTC they always depict trees in the skydecks, but never follow through. It’s impossible to have a fauna habitat in the sky with freezing winds rushing throughout the winter lest be honest.
I believe the US made it so that nothing should be surpassing the height of the one World Trade Center especially the Legends Tower that building should not he surpassing 1776 feet because it could become a target
If the Chicago Spire would have completed in 2008 rising to 2,000 ft at 150 floors it would have returned the world's tallest back to America just a few years before Dubai Burj was completed. Nothing is final. To be continued..At this point I don't care where the next tallest in America is built. Just build it and bring back the world's tallest title. If OKC can jump in the game go for it. It doesn't always have to be restricted to just NY and Chicago. It could be LA or Houston. Many cities in China can build tall so can American cities.
Theres no sort of understanding. If someone wants to build something bigger, they will, its just a matter of if its needed. All the big cities have plenty of skyscrapers, it might be time for a place like Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City or Houston to start building their supertalls.
But How will they demolish these in the future the Empire state building is apporching a 100 years old now? The building has to be showing a lot of wear and tear at this point!
The bigger buildings are constantly renovated. The ESB just underwent a renovation to its observation deck that opened a new attraction way up in the spire. The Chrysler building is reopening its observation deck, and renovating its spires interior (the former Cloud Club) too. Structurally speaking, both buildings should be able to stay up for the next 100 years at least.
Thumbs Down as you fell into the 'sustainable''' bs. CO2 IS plant food. During man's era... CO2 for a fact... has been far lower than most of earth's history. Yes, it is rising, but still vastly far below past Co2 levels.
Resilience in the sense that we decided to rebuild on the site. In terms of the building's resilience, its way stronger than the original buildings, the glass is 3 inches thick, the core is 4ft thick and built of reinforced concrete, the base of the tower has 5ft thick reinforced concrete walls. Its very sturdy

Missing the One Vanderbilt and the Hudson yard building...

If only they could build these in an art deco style again instead of the more futuristic design

Sadly it only covered 1930-2030. But it could've at least mentioned both Singer and Woolworth bldgs.
Thoughts on the Alfirmation tower?
Well, if it is finally built with the original project's height, I like the new design better than the previous one.
I had hoped the roof of the Freedom Tower would be 1776 feet and 2001 with the spire

175 Park Ave. Looks beautiful. But its proximity to the Chrysler building is problematic
At least its closer to the middle of the island, you'll still have a nice view of it from Queens
I think the World Trade Center buildings should stay the largest in NYC, In my opinion it shows respect to the once fallen buildings
WHY DID YOU LEAVE OUT 432 PARK AVENUE.
Because it sucks?
Senna Tower in Brazil will be the talledt building in the americas. More than 500m
This video missed the most amazing thing about 275 Park.... 1380 feet tall... only 63 floors! Every floor has crazy high ceilings.
I like those skyscrapers
432 Park, Hudson Yards, 1 Vandy…. And why doesn’t Steinway towers crown light up? And why doesn’t One World Trade’s beacon work ?
Can you do like a Evolution of the whole skyline so that the twin towers dont stand right next to the one wtc.
Until the Twin Towers (2001) New York was great. I would be curios what would happened if they still existed.
They had just finished a renovation, they were shined up, so they'd probably be ready for their next major renovation by now.

No One Vanderbilt???
It's not a building I'm particularly fond of, but you're right-it should have been included.
Steinway Tower was never the official name. It's known by its address, 111 West 57th Street
After 1 WTC, none of those buildings are memorable. I wonder if they'll hold their weight like the ESB or Chrysler do, 100 years from now.
Freedom tower?
That won’t be Positively Memorable either Hopefully
Only the Twins but also the Whole OG Complex
