$250? you know what? i just learned to love my wires, thanks!
wow that much sounds like it ahead of its time or they over priced it
It's funny because this thing is almost as expensive as the Nintendo Switch itself. And a 48'' TV is how much? $300? ^_^
There is no relation between what this thing does and its price. If you are rich you can pay $1000 for a stake. But that doesn't mean the stake is worth $1000.
Nobody is denying that. But that doesn't apply to this. Do you even know how much it'd cost to build this device? You don't. So who is the ignorant then?
buddy if you have so much money just go buy it. A lot of us doesn't have that much money to pay something like this, and as time goes on these type of tool is going to get cheaper.
Me: oh I like this
*looks on Amazon, sees that it's 250 dollar*
Me: I don't like it thaaaat much
Check my post in main thread
Lmaooo is it really 😂😂
For 250 i'll buy a ps4
Gary Stinten not going to go hunting, you could just say what you want to say here
...What's the "main thread"?
*Buys a Nintendo switch**Hooks it up to the TV with a connection that costs as much as the console itself*
Bibasik7 the point is that it finally works , now we need competition and demand to drive the price down
More likely: "Makes a review about a wireless transmitter with a focus on latency vs gaming. Actually is testing it with a Nintendo Switch" :D
yes finally someone else understands it, well said bob
Loool...And well, yeah ;
'' *Checks Korean eBay for cheaper alternative* ''
Lyrics:
So here's something that I've been
wanting to test and owned for a long
period of time but I just never pulled
the trigger on actually ordering one of
these it's called the Nereus aries pro
and what it is is a wireless hdmi
transmitter and receiver so what this
means is you could take any source any
video source and send that video signal
to a display off in the distance as you
can see on the front of the box I mean
they are even showing a drone here
whatever video signal you want to send
even from a production perspective like
the various angles that we shoot for the
show you could send to a display for
monitoring but this one caught my
attention above and beyond the other
stuff that's on the market because they
claim watch on HDTV with no latency at
1080p now you know why no latency is
important because a lot of people are
going to want to use something like this
for gaming you can imagine you've got a
console or something far away from a
display or just the way you have your
stuff wired up for cable management now
finally wireless HDMI supposedly far as
this company's concerned is capable of
getting there without a wire so I got a
few tips from people on Twitter saying
Lou you got to try this out I'm going to
test this out today with a Nintendo
switch and a display that's about how
many feet away is that over there Jack
that's like 40 feet 30 feet as they say
in the box this is the pro version which
has a hundred feet apparently of clear
wireless transmission so Nintendo switch
in the dock I will send the signal all
the way over there and we'll see if it
actually works or we'll see if they have
over stepped over over stead or does the
Nereus aires pro suck so since the
transmitter receiver power adapter five
foot hdmi cable and so on what do they
show here so obviously this will work
with any video source you can see
they've got a laptop hooked up play high
definition video games from your desktop
PC laptop ps4 xbox one or while anything
really zero latency they sing zero let's
crack this open
gonna need a knife I just peeled the
tape anyway look at that unboxtherapy
and none of the professional unboxing
equipment you would expect I just peel
the tape off all right don't try that at
home plug it into the wall plug it into
the display plug the transmitter into an
hdmi port that's it look at this slick
little guy so this looks like the
receiver I believe this will sit near
the location of your TV it's got an HDMI
output on it you can also wall mount it
some LED indicators as well to let you
know if you're linked up this model
comes with a super slim transmitter so
this guy here as you can see goes into
any hdmi port it has also a mini USB on
it this entire package would be very
easy to travel with in the past I've
wanted to like watch a UFC fight on a
projector but maybe I don't have the
source that I want going to wherever the
projector is mounted now boom you just
as long as this guy is down on ground
level whatever you want to stream from
click that baby in could be an Apple TV
could be you know the deal in HDMI cable
this is to go from the receiver to the
display a nice right angle adapter a
mini USB cable which is going to power
up the transmitter so let's get this
thing hooked up and see what it does
alright so i have the nintendo switch in
the dock and i've got the hdmi going out
to the transmitter now something to
mention because of the way the dock is
set up i had to use a little hdmi
adapter just to extend it a little bit
now going into the transmitter
there was a blinking light on the front
of the transmitter which is now solid
it's solidly lit up which i think means
that it has linked itself to the
receiver on the TV all the way over
there so Jack's gonna swing right now
and as we mentioned before this TV is
somewhere between 30 and 40 feet away
from where I'm sitting right now so i
got the pro controller the docked
nintendo switch i'm gonna power it up
right now Oh Zelda oh my I don't think
there's any latency I'm not sensing any
I think they weren't lying man let's go
for a little glide real quick here Oh
baby totally playable honestly I don't
notice any kind of an input delay beyond
playing the game normally and I've been
playing this game a lot recently this is
a really cool madness when you see this
happen it's a very magical moment am I
gonna have enough stamina to get to the
top probably not maybe I've been mostly
upgrading stamina made it barely here we
go that's legit they weren't lying I
mean they said zero latency there's zero
latency the question of the video
wireless HDMI does it suck no not
anymore keep in mind it's 1080p so
you're getting full res like I said you
want to go to a different display just
grab this thing and move that there's a
bad guy right there yeah how you like
that look you can use his own arm to
beat them up haha
check these guys out it's the real deal
man it's the real deal it's magical what
magic is this right tom there he is
there he is

Why
Teemo McNuggets gg
Teemo McNuggets OMG thaaannnnks you saved my life
Omg thank you i have hearing issues i cant hear bullshit
Jesus man, that's dedication
I was hoping it was maybe $80, which I was willing to pay, but $250 is too much.
right
You're pretty much paying for a Nintendo Switch over again.
They have a version for $200 with a 30 ft. range. But it's still stupid expensive
yeah, and fuck 1080p. No 4k? no deal. For $250, I'd rather use a long hdmi cable
try my link,4k
Give it a month,
And the chinese will sell $2 versions of these cables that work just as good
lol My thoughts exactly.
Exactly!
If you find one please let me know when you check it out lol but only after you check it out xD
Haider Ali Gotta love China😂
more like 5 years
I thought _this_ time it would be something I could afford. :(
Holy fuckin shit! $249! Ill just use my cable thank you very much
But you can always save a ton of money on your car insurance by switching to Geico
This thing is great for businesses to connect to mounted projectors. No stupid cable running from the wall. The only thing I'm worried about is someone stealing the connector or just forgetting to return it.
Geico LMAO ALLSTATE IS WHERE IT AT!!!
Geico hahahahaha
I've seen cables for more...
This is a great idea! The less cables the better. It also does the job well, this is probably a product that I might want to buy tbh.
Edit: Nevermind, I just saw the price and it looks like I'll be sticking to cable.
just saying
Yeah $250 sounds a bit pricey.
A bit? How about a lot?
still too expensive though
It is
250 dollars for a hdmi cable
it would cost less to buy a drill and just run the cable trough the wall and it would perform better
KraineK xDDD karambitch yup
Amazon India is selling it at 38k INR (~585 USD). That is more than twice the price of my TV... Lol
KraineK xDDD karambitch U can buy a hdmi cable for $1000
JussapitkaPelailee and solid gold ones can go for even more and the cable i use for my xbox is a monster hdmi gold plated (im not bragging) ☺
@Kobie Venn... why would you buy such an expensive hdmi cable? A 5~10 dollar 5~15ft cable will do exactly the same job...
plugs it into itself *hacker voice* *"I'm in"*
I bought 2 of them a few months ago for our two conference rooms. We have many different customers and vendors that come in and want to use our projectors with their laptops. I also bought several adapters/converters to the hdmi to accomodate many different devices. Works awesome. Our customers/vendors no longer have to worry about grabbing a cable to the projector. With that said, 99% of what is being displayed are excel and powerpoint files. Mostly static stuff, not gaming or movies.
$250? Costs more than my tv, real worth it
Saif Hussain exactly I'm gonna probably pass and a buy a display for my gaming and movie better than a damn cable !
$250 for a TV? 720p? 480p?
PrincessAshley121 dude 1080 TV with 21 inches
i payed 200 for a 27" curved 1080p samsung tv
PrincessAshley121 mines a 24" 1080p display
Wireless air, does it breathe?
Yeah man everything supposed to be wireless nowadays :o
Huge Let's talk about that *GMM intro*

Chase Brillhart You forgot the question mark in the second one.
These work great. I wanted cable on the bathroom and garage tv but didn't want to run new wire so I got 2 of these and plugged them Int my cable box and now have cable in those areas.
Every unbox therapy comment section:
" X dollars for this piece of shit? Nah, im good "
Cojoc MC ikr
lmao the comment directly under yours for me was
250 dollars for a hdmi cable
it would cost less to buy a drill and just run the cable trough the wall and it would perform better
Although I think it may be justified for this product.
But seriously tho....$250...nah fam, i'm good
Bittertokken it's a pretty new thing, prices will go down as companies release competitors or cost of materials goes down
Tom is soooo shy!
I've actually been wondering if a wireless HDMI solution had been commercially sold yet, but I was too lazy to search for it. Thanks Lu!
This is the kind of video I've been waiting for! Thanks.

Where are you finding a $40 ft HDMI cable for $5?
carnesiel what...... I guess 4/20 is in full effect
carnesiel 40ft is $50 max. is he 40ft away from the TV?
MakisToys, DIYs, crafts and more cable hehehe
So funny you would make a video about this! It's been in my Amazon shopping cart for a minute... I think I'm going to have to purchase it now for wireless camera monitoring 👌🏼
I love it when unbox therapy gets straight to the point :3
It's funny the thumbnail shows a Nintendo Switch with a USB C Port and he is hold a HDMI
Abdulmoiz Kamran uh
Abdulmoiz Kamran he is holding hdmi
That's what I thought
You have to test for latency with a multiplayer game like battlefield or cod something with reaction time
We have been using that for months at the office in a conference room and it works great!
Watch out, Nintendo is soon going to claim your video.
NikoliZZer That's true. I'm sure he forgot. Lol
Ooooo very scary.
he paid for them to not

How to save $300.
Console users: move your console closer
laptop users: airplay/ amazon fire/ chrome cast.
Thing is, I'm sure Lew should have been the one to tell you this, not me....
Or use one of those super long HDMI cables super fat and thick full of powerful transmittable signal. I got one that is like 20 feet for 10 bucks. That is ZERO latency, proven.
Lew loves expensive and useless shit. This channel should be call "Shut up and take my money therapy" lol
MrAlucardDante he is just telling us about things existing in the market not like you sitting in your home with a bag of chips
Nope, he is telling us about things that have existed for years. He just picked the most expensive one because he wants us to be jealous of all that RUclips money
Lew is a genius, he is basically an advert channel that you choose to watch.
I love how this went from a wireless HDMI unboxing to a Zelda gameplay video hahahah
"What's up guys, Lew Here, Back with another Video"... That was the signature voice of Unbox Therapy. You will never know how much i love to here the line and i badly miss it :'(
Ordered one of these earlier for streaming from a camera to a remote monitor. You can power the receiver off of a 2A usb powerbank - so it makes for a useful piece of filmmaking kit. Going to be testing it out soon as a way of having a roaming camera at a concert, I've read reviews that say that the connection it uses doesn't fair well with other wireless interference, so I'll find out soon the hard way I guess.
The latency obviously isn't zero, but provided you're close enough and you're giving the receiver the right amount of juice, it'll quick enough to use. Still very pricey though, the Aries Prime is a better deal IMO for indoor use like in this video.
This HDMI doesnt suck, it swallows

When You Realise This Channel Is a Big Ad
When you realize this comment is on every video and there's no point in making your own.
ZzipGamer Yeah he advertises products he finds cool. what's bad about it? all reviews are an advertisement in some way since they showing a product and it's features.
realized awhile ago, still like it
You have a problem with it? You don't have to watch, simple.
I purchased this device once seen this video. Today I receive it in Sri Lanka. Im really happy with the performance. 0 latency to the dot. Thanks Lew for letting us all know about this fantastic product.
i have had this since christmas it is awesome i can game, watch, and create media at 1080p it is amazing
Oculus rift + Wireless hdmi + Wireless usb = omg
except VR needs more than 1080p
Prime Hardware Vr is literally only in 1080p
just thinking about tlinus tech tips solution for this (optical-thunderbolt cable)
Wouldn't transmit at a high enough frame rate to keep the VR smooth
Selantox ultimate latency pro
You can buy an XBOX One in the price of this wireless HDMI $250 ?? u kidding me?
Lol I know. Then just stream from the Xbox.
Dawood AD !
Xbox One=$450
EliTe ZeroX xbox one s = 250$
when ur too ashamed to admit the price drop.
What a load of shit.
Great.
Another thing added to the list of things I didn't know I needed until I saw them...
would be neato for my dads home projection idea.
$250 wireless HDMI < $6 Amazon basic HDMI
Just looked on Amazon $6 for 6 ft cable this video was for more range they also had $12 dollars for 10 ft price goes up if you want more length.. this video was also intended for people who want there consoles or electronics near them not all the way by there tv .
How can the be zero latency when there's even latency with a cable? Confused.
Peter Corr that's obviously not going to be 0 at all times. Interference will be an issue. Unless the developers thought around that... This is a sign of good things to come.
It uses quantum entanglement and as a backup creates mini wormholes to transmit near instantaneously.
Aspyn Walton I know, does no one know this exist, I use it all the time.
I think they mean that it doesn't add to the latency already caused by wired cables. They're saying it's wireless, yet equivalent to having it wired...
Peter Corr then you got a shity cable
You gotta try the Peerless HD-Flow if you want a high quality, the benefit there is that you can have multiple receivers to one transmitter. It's pricey but very worth it, use them for all the conference events I do.
This would work so well for my snes classic! I don't need to worry about controller length
My boy Etika sent me here
Etika sucks.
FC Mania Oh ok.
m8 change your profile pic what is that 😂
I started opening new tabs for videos im about to watch and I have etikas video up next so its quite a coincidence that I clicked on this video and they were talking about the same product.
It's not really relevant for the Switch, but whats the refresh rate? Is it 60 hz? If it is then i'll be impressed
The second you said "I'm not sensing any latency" I bought one, I'll have it in 3 days can't wait awesome video Lew 🙏
I have Microsoft's WiDi adapter to use with Miracast and it's pretty amazing to be able to wirelessly project my tablet/laptop to my TV!
With all that standard cheapo Chinese markings and stickers I figured this was going to be like 20-30 bucks but 250? Naw man I'll get a cable and not be a bitch.
bad day?
Dang man if you don't know the difference between a quality device made in China and the knock off shit from Alibaba that's on you for being a dumb bitch haha
Dude I could totally use this when editing my videos. That be soooo sweet!
trand berry
I'd use it for my corn. Sorry auto correct
NICE USE OF CORN!
TheTravelingClatt I would use it for my dog tbh
guys it cost 250$
You guys don't have a projector fixed on your ceiling, i totally need this ! Infinite thanks for spreading the good word, Lewis ! Plus, there's a 30 feet version that cost 199$/€ which is a bit less expensive. But i must admit that i see less point in buying this for a regular TV...
I can see possibly needing this in certain situations at work where I install surveillance systems. Sometimes the monitor is a long way from the DVR and it would save having to run a 100' video cable.
Technically speaking in terms of EM waves, the time taken for the wave to travel from the transmitter to the receptor is (assuming the distance of 35 feet): 3.556E-5 ms or 0.00003556 ms.
I have to say it since I'm doing physics.
Doesn't noise/interference affect the time of travel?
YES. See? False advertising. Unbelievable.
Jagarias well, national college standards for measurements say that you must go at least 3 measures past the decimal minimum, and in that sense, the number would be 0
I believe that's in scientific notation. or else that would make no sense.
Well DaggetDoofus
I don't particularly want to teach a lesson in physics in youtube since I don't want to die or start a war. But In Long story short: Data can be lost by constructive and destructive interference with other radio waves, or by changing magnetic fields in a conductor such as an inductor. But it does NOT slow down the wave is just that the wave has changed from its starting "state"(loss of data). What would slow down an EM wave is the medium they travel through such a vacuum, water, air or brick(note most metals reflect most lower energy EM waves x-rays and under, gamma rays have high penetration and can go up to a couple of cm in led).
DISCLAIMER: I'm no Physics teacher just a student and I'm writing this by memory. If you are savvy enough please do check what I'm saying and correct me.
Still the same price after a few years I expected it would have lowered to $120 now
This might be really useful for video production on a budget
oh cool, i actually want this...what is it like ....$250?! lmao nah. I'm good.
You got it right
This is garbage. You should have taken the time and effort to actually measure the delay between inputs and seeing it happen on screen before saying "it's the real deal, man."
Are you really gonna get finicky over 1/16th of a frame?
@@Dommbuscus if its esports yes obviously
@@brydonthunder If you are using this for e-sports then you'd have a small brain anyway.
This would have been awesome to have when I had a projector. Running audio wires to speakers in the front of the room while having your video source in the back with the projector sucked.
Tom is always camera shy, I like when you call upon him Lou. That makes your videos very funny. You are both very sweet. And Jack too, even if he never shows up, that makes him special. I'd like to believe he is real. Thumbs up to all of you.
It's $250 worth of magic. Abracadabra, your money is gone. I think I'll just move my Nintendo closer to the TV and wire up.
For 250$ You can get a really good SSD
Thats not how you properly test latency. No way that thing has 0 latency
I think this is just a big add video.
yeah fuck this poster man. Every product he reviews is "magically awesome" and has 0 flaws. Keep shilling, Unbox Therapy.
T Ren this is UNBOX THERAPY NOT REVIEW AND TEST THERAPY
Well, in this video hes more review and promoting than unboxing.
I'm loving all this Tom stuff. Super funny.
i see you are a man of culture as well screens aka tvs with small frame is cool hate those big 4 cm frames but when they barely are a half they look slim and shady
Wireless HDMI? Sounds like the principle of a Chromecast to be honest. But I guess I'm gonna have to watch the video.
SwedishGamer322 This is wireless hmdi that doesnt use internet and has 0 latency
a chromecast for this kind of application is really bad over all. low resolution high latency, requires internet. this also requires no software on the host or receiving device, so it can run on anything with an HDMI output.
SwedishGamer322 the difference is, I can't cast my Xbox to my Chromecast. If you could, however, that'd be a game changer for sure!
Cool video man! That thing is cool, have just bought one to run an Xbox one to a 70 inch HDR 4K tv and it deals with that brilliantly. Thanks for the video it was great.
You could have just got a second Xbox for the price.
Zac I wouldn't recommend using that wireless receiver on the PS4 Pro or Xbox Scorpio (when it releases) as it only transmits in 1080p. It doesn't transmit a 4K Signal.
that camera vlog is so intense expense, i didn't realize that camera for a while.
I got one of these awhile back to use with my laptop but haven't used it but once. I couldn't detect any latency if any. The only thing I didn't like was the transmitter got very hot so I wonder how long the life of the transmitter is going to be.
You could get this for 250 bucks.
Or just a 30 ft HDMI cable for 10 bucks xD
juliangst yeah but loss of signal it might be digital but that doesnt mean it not gona lose signal
Double D still better than this
Great idea, however the "no latency" claim needs to be tested on any online FPS game. We all know how a fraction of a second can matter
My dude that and the glyph head set go perfect together lol
I have a PRO one that I tried to use with a gaming laptop and a projector. It worked well for about half an hour then it got really hot and started disconnecting and reconnecting every minute. After, a several minutes I lost the connection completely. I had to wait for the transmitter to cool down, reboot, and start over. I used it to watch movies and it worked fine for about a couple of hours before it got hot and failed. I am not sure if I have a defective item or not. I agree that it works well with no apparent latency (unless you are a pro gamer) but not for a long period of time.

wow wireless makes it cost around 200$ more -_-

Every comment here thinks that dedicated low latency wireless is cheap. Take a look at wireless microphone or ear monitor receiver. Let alone HDMI signal with gigabit of bandwidth.
Thank you so much I have aben q projector mounted to the ceiling and I need something to connect my switch to without having it mounted to the ceiling as well!
sometimes I don't even come for the product, I come for Lew's humor😂
what if Tom is actually Jack🤔
I like tom
Lew understand that it is NOT 1080p on the switch. It is an upscaled 720p, which actually doesn't look any different (maybe slightly, but it isn't noticeable)
That's all very good but did you test it with walls in the way or without the line of sight ? Because those wireless hdmi units are generally bad going through the walls of houses and things
or just buy a long hdmi cable for like $10
UNBOX TERAPHY always shows products that only people with the amount of money that lew makes can afford l mean u have money we get it but can u show some cheap cool technology?
Germán Rodríguez Pérez cheap cool tech doesn't get the views
$250 is nothing for him x)
He does occasionally show cheap things too, such as in his $4 smartphone video.
Why can't you spell therapy? All you have to do is look at his channel name or know it's a p sound and not an f sound
$250 isn't that much money. I have an old laptop as my HTPC. I've been wanting to replace it, at minimum, would cost $300 for a mini-HTPC. I'm moving and my desktop will be within 15 feet of my TV in the living room. I'd rather by this and use my desktop that's at my desk as my HTPC and now I only need one PC to do both gaming and work, as well as entertainment in my living room.
This may be the first time I buy something featured on Unbox Therapy.
I've been using this for years to send a wireless HDMI signal to my Projector. I don't have latency issues between video and audio on my receiver.
The one thing I wish he would do in his reviews is give us a price breakdown. Its not a big deal to look it up but I just think it would be more helpful.

Anyone else get upset when he didn't peel of the clear parts slowly😂
No.
It might seem like a really simple device but there's actually a lot in it. To transfer 1080p in realtime with no lag is quite a feat given the limited bandwidth of wireless. You might be fooled into thinking that it's no different than streaming a "1080p" video from RUclips but this thing has to do all its compression/decompression on the fly. Quite impressive indeed - hence the $250 price tag.
Its pretty neat... but would hold off on buying until the price drops...
