At 35:05 you comment about the weather machine. That card is absolutely busted. It has a 3 second cooldown which freezes 1 item for 2 seconds and slows another for 1. It's also a tool, vehicle, and property which means it has insane synergy with a large number of skills and items. If you'd slot it in with the dam and metronome you basically only need a clamera to permafreeze everything once the dam goes off. I've won multiple games finding it with Vanessa. It's insanely strong.
That's just a crazy build! Someone hit me with this build this morning and I didn't know what happened until after my stuff had all been destroyed. An absolutely wild experience...
I really enjoy the game, and imo broken builds are not the problem, but how often you can get them, it's really easy to get Skyscraper build going with Pyg, to the point where yesterday every single fight I had from day 5 onwards were against it, so it becomes really boring, it would be cool to see it once a week and you're like "what the hell was that", but instead you say that when someone has a build that doesn't one shot you.
One of the big things I realized while watching kripp play this is that he always knows if he can or can't beat the npc encounters he gets. When you start playing this, you lose so much by overestimating or underestimating you ability to clear those. The result is you end up being incredibly weaker later game, it's a very big deal.
About the forcability - This, Knives and Property are builds you can pretty much force in 80% of games you play. Thats the single bigegst problem with bazaar rn. We badly need bigger pools. I love the game, I love playing it flex, but it feels sooooo bad to just hit one of 3 builds every single fight day9+ and if you arent one of those 3 builds, you loose. You can argue that this game is not competitive so it doesnt matter if you loose, but it just feels wrong.
This game "shouldn't" have the same problem as typical card games, because you don't own any of the cards. You just pick up what's there. If cards are undertuned, they just won't be chosen. When your carpet has 10 or fewer cards on it at all times, and there are hundreds of cards in the game, there will always be something to do. I'm more worried about the giga high rolls than nerfs. Cards like Dam and Skyscraper are terrorizing the meta atm, and it would be good to tone them down.
Since the dam's ability destroys itself, they could just make it so that being destroyed prevents the additional activations from multicast. I'm surprised it doesn't work like that currently.
They should just fix that multicast doesnt check for the game state.Dam cant multicast since it kills itself after the first cast, dinos needs to check opposite board state after each cast.
I wonder if theyll tweak the builds themselves or how "forceable" they are. Part of the design goal seems to be a focus on chaotic drafting and hard to force busted synergies, but some shops have a narrow selection of items that allow you to REALLY aim for the broken stuff build if you have their building blocks, or if you have a crazy economy. Game is really cool, excited to see where it goes.
My guess is just that each hero is lacking enough items in their pools for them to really enforce that chaos. Whenever they add more I guess it's gonna get better.

As much as I dislike Dam builds, it was very satisfying seeing that skyscraper build instantly lose lol I have noticed, the game spikes in difficulty around day 10, maybe slightly before, when the 'unfair' builds show up, then sort of gets easier past day 14ish (if you can somehow survive w/o permafreeze, instacrit, skyscraper, big llama, dam, or the rest!). By then all the skyscraper and dam pygs and vanessas are mostly gone, and instead you just see turbo scaling robots, which are hard, but more beatable w/ relatively 'fair' builds. It feels really weird to be able to 10 win perfect run w/ some early spike janky build more easily then get just a solid build to the 8+ wins line. Hoping to see nerfs bringing the outliers in line soon
Meanwhile, in EU, Vanessa is the only character. All people are stuck in Bronze because of the games not counting for rewards issue, meaning all skill levels are stuck in Bronze V. From day 4 plays Knife (kunai) critical builds, and the one who wins is the one who gets the holster (which is a build that can be done consistently) so he one shots people easily. And countering may be possible, especially with other characters and monster skills, but is not consistant. I hoped I was on NA to have fun with you guys, anyway, love your videos Kripp!
Im in the UK and can play all 3 characters. Though i am having the issue with not being able to get rewards. Anytime I finish a run and return to the main menu i dont get a reward and the button says 'Resume' not play and it takes me back to day 1 of a run. I have to then conceede if i want to play another character.
Use VPN to the USA. Lets you connect to NA server and you can play as normal, get rewards from your games as intended, and maybe even fight against kripp xd
stumbled upon this build when memeing with something else, and it saved my run so freaking hard. After that I noticed that it is actually fairly easy to force, since you are very likely to see a dam and shipwreck, and has almost no requirements from your starting build other than picking up some aquatic items on the way. Clamora / freeze are obviously the best item combinations, but a decently leveled life preserver isn't bad either if you don't hit the nuts, since it will save you from getting 1 shot by some of the other top builds.
Was watching this video while playing and was offered the Dam, Deadly Shipwreck and the captains wheel in the same shop, while I already had the seashell and catfish because I was doing a poison build. Immediatly switched builds just to try it out ahahah
Skyscraper pig imo can be forced just as much as Vanessa dam, managed to farm roughly 20 tickets with prop pig tryna take advantage of it b4 they nerf it that way I can just snowball my ranked runs to hopefully run them indefinitely.
Meanwhile she can get a 1k damage knife that instantly procs off one of the instant cast items but with adjacent item + crit to instantly kill most people
Nothing beats the insta-cast throwing knife. Got me my first 10 win in ranked. (Unfortunately). Sure you can maybe win with freeze or slow but I haven’t ran into many slow or freeze late game.
The funniest vanessa build i have gotten is the kunai that is used when it crits with the skill that reloads when it crits. It infinitely procs itself. Got it to 100% crit on day 5 and mega nuked every single person. Enchant with cannot be destroyed if possible. If you dont get the skill its a loss tho

I'd say that the two best competing builds are property and throwing knives where property is easier to bring online and throwing knifes caps higher. Property is also just easier to force.
Throwing clam yoyo with 100% crit and ammo reload on critvskill. That's an infinite damage at the start of the game. Its not 100% foolproof but pretty close to it
They’re all good. Realistically any build that can one shot under 2-3s and tech to slow opponents down is the winning play. Property is the most consistent at this.
Yea property build just doesn't feel good way to easy to come online and when you come across it it's not fun or engaging. I don't mind losing but knowing what's coming when I see pig and 4 cards come up is just defeating

Lets think about why this is (besides the fact if you watch the video , they are clearly not critting), whats the Crit rate of the dot? It could have been applied by a whole host of crit values, so what does it use? First applied? Most recent? Average?

AS well as watching every single frame of this video, you can always watch any burn build video as well. Im guessing it was the one where Rarran played Dolley Burn. It's worth noting that Shield halves burn - so that can confuse things a little. If you are a player, please don't build poison or burn decks becuase Reynad told you the ticks can crit, you'll be disappointed!
The burst builds are making the game not fun at all, whether it's the instant burt or the delayed burst. Knife and Yo-Yo are easy nerfs. Make it so they can't trigger on themselves or copies. The Pyg burst builds, I think it was Skyscraper, will be a harder balancing act.
crazy that i had this build today but unfortunatley got destroyed by 1.8 sec pig with his broken skyscraper. Cant win against 10k dmg and afterwards at 9 wins lost against vanessa with her infinite knife build that also won at 1.5 sec ... So i dont think this is the most broken when the other 2 build are way easier to get and faster.
I saw a version of this build last night with piranha and 5x multicast clam which was way more impressive than this build, but it remains funny all the same
playing "fair" is like amazing until day 12 you can go easy 6 wins with good builds but after day10 you start to only meet 2second 100k dmg builds or some of that dam crap :( even if you can stop them in like 3sec they just go and kill you before 3 sec xD

Btw the official Bazaar twitter page recommended that to EU players while they try to fix the issue, so dont think it would be any trouble
The freeze enchantment truly pushed the build into exodia territory.

As soon as Kripp said multicast and Dam I knew it was going to be busted.

A good way to nerf it would be to make the multicast not afect the Dam, easy and fast way to solve it.

I had a radiant skyscraper build with the property (castle walls?) That give enemy items +2 second cooldown. That was really unbeatable.

I got the dam and multicast both diamond and i got 7 wins in normal, not even ranked. Not sure if this has to be nerfed or fixed.
Dam should absolutely not work with multicast since it destroys itself.

I did loose with this build against freeze build, but if you can put the unfrozen and unbreakable enchant on the dam this is the best build ever ;D

Can you pause the game and take a break? Seems like you have to play for like 40-60mins every time?
While the runs can take that long the game is wholly asynchronous and you can pause them at any point for however long you want with no penalty

Man your build is pretty slow you have to go off in less than 1.8 sec or you will be oneshoted in ranked by Trowing knife infinite DMG build.

Item destruction needs to be removed, it will be near impossible to keep it balanced.
